Damn Toyota. They brag about their quality service and number of check points they go through when you bring your car to them for service. And that was my belief and trust in them for many years. Not anym number of check points they go through when you bring your car to them for service. And that was my belief and trust in them for many years. Not anymore now. We brought our Rav4 and Highlander yesterday for scheduled maintenance service and they say all fluids are topped up during the service and car is thoroughly checked. Today, when we opebed the hood to take a look at the engine compartment, we were so shocked to see the brake fluid levels of both cars were in the minimum level - NOT TOPPED UP! Damn! We are scheduled to go to yosemite on Friday and what if we did nit check the brake fluid level? We could have ran out of the brake fluid and it might cause an accudent because wecwill be using more braked onnthe mountain. The wiper fluid is not topped up in the highlander and the battery clamp are filled with corrosion. I just wonder also if they really change the engine and transmission oil in their scheduled services in the past. Is this a part of your routine to save on your exoenses? I wonder hiw many accudents happened because of poor maintenance service? More

I went to the TOYOTA service center in Claremont for the next scheduled appt and their records showed that they botched my maintenance schedule and for some weird reason performed work for the wrong mileage schedule doing the 30,000 miles work instead of the 75,000 miles work up. I have purchased a total of four Toyota's from this dealership and I can honestly say I have never had a "bad" experience. (I make sure they put all of the details in writing). The service department has always provided excellent service with a "fix it right the first time" attitude, although again, you need to have some knowledge of the service(s) required. (I have gotten to know my Toyota's well). The service staff has always taken the time to explain the service(s) required and they always have provided an estimate copy of the service and price. You will need to ask for any applicable discounts as some may apply to the specific service and some may not. In summary, If you are a good customer, they are a great dealership. More
