Best customer service ever Took my car in for routine service. Was going to be a longer appt than I had thought, so they got me a rental car. Very easy. Received a phone call about other work that needed to be done, so I could decide what I wanted to do. Picked my car up the next morning. Everything finished like it should be, and pricing was what I was told it would be. Worked with Jenny in service. LOVE HER!! She is so sweet, and takes time to explain and go over everything. Don't really love taking my car in, but she makes it sort of fun. More
1 year free Maintenance on used car I purchased a used vehicle from Gladstone Toyota and one of the selling points brought up to me over and over again was that it comes with a years fre I purchased a used vehicle from Gladstone Toyota and one of the selling points brought up to me over and over again was that it comes with a years free maintenance. So I made my first appt. and when I did I asked the guy on the phone what it covered and was told basically an oil change, all fluids filled and my tires rotated. I made the appt for 2:00 PM, I was 15 to 20 minutes early and the first in the service line. Meanwhile several other cars pulled in behind me. I found out that the only thing my free so called "Maintenance" for a year covers is the oil change and an inspection. After waiting for nearly 2 hours and watching all those who had come in after me leave with their cars I saw them pull my car into the shop. When they were done they marked on my receipt that I had corroded battery cables and a weak battery. Neither is true! I know this for a fact. They also told me when I called them after returning home that they had not removed the battery cables. That was not true. You see my car is a Lincoln LS and when removing the cables and putting them back on there is a certain procedure that needs to be followed. If you don't follow it your car will not run right or shift right.I found that out when I got a CD stuck and rebooted the player by taking off the battery cables and putting them back on. (NO corrosion either) That was the reason for my calling them after I got home. Removing the cables also removes all setting you have made for seat, pedal, and steering wheel that need to be reset. That part is no big deal but driving it without following the set procedure is. I am taking it to the Ford dealer tomorrow and I hope there has been no permanent damage done to the transmission. To sum up. If you have anything but a Toyota do not take it to Gladstone Toyota. I don't know if they know any more about a toyota or not. If you are buying a used car there just know that the so called FREE maintenance is nothing more than an oil change and if your time is worth anything to you your better off going to Jiffy Lube or Oil Can Henrys. The free so called maintenance is not what they want you to think it is. Would an insurance claim hold up if the only maintenance you did was change the oil? I think not. More

Repair of rear latch on Sequoia Called to have latch replaced as it broke and could not open the rear latch. Called service department and was told it was not an uncommon situation and the part was in stock and approx price to repair was $300. got a call and said more was broken and would be $471. to repair. When I picked up, there was no one that could explain why the difference on a seemingly common repair and no old parts to show that were repaired. I have taken my vehicle here for many years which began under different ownership and service before this I had a similar experience and really don't have faith that I am being treated honestly. More
