We went to trade our car in. We spent 5 hours waiting for them to get something together for the car we liked. We were told it would happen within our budget. Furthermore, they had us to to the location we purchased the car we were using for a trade-in and cancel the extended warranty which we did. Finally he told us to go ahead home and he would contact us before the end of the day, Not only did he not contact me, but when I called the first time I held for 5 minutes to be told he is with a customer. Then I called back a couple more times, finally I was transfered to the manager, who told me we would need a deposit of $5000.00 which had never been mentioned in the conversations I had with anyone there. I had said I could probably come up with $500.00. So now, not only do I not have the car, I also do not have the extended warranty on car I was going to use for a trade in, but I also feel sick to my stomach when I see the Toyota logo ~ knowing the the people the hire and pay are a group of people who do not have any idea how do be honest of counduct business like they care about the consumer. It seems like this dealership has slipped recently. I bought a Toyota here two years ago and had a pretty good experience, but when I went back yesterday to look at a new vehicle, it was truly a farce. bought a Toyota here two years ago and had a pretty good experience, but when I went back yesterday to look at a new vehicle, it was truly a farce. Like something out of a car dealership parody. The salesperson was very friendly but did not know the inventory and could not answer some of my questions about vehicle options/specs. I felt like I was guiding HIM to the car I needed. Even so, we did find a Highlander on the lot that would have met my needs. However. . . .money offered for my trade-in vehicles was ridiculously low. Then there was a smoke and mirrors routine from a manager about the dealership's cost for the new vehicle. This was couched in "We're totally transparent" statements and was accompanied by lots of pieces of paper showing the dealer's invoice etc. Curiously, dealer hold-back figures were not mentioned. Guess he thought I was stupid? Finally, the old "What would we need to do for your to buy this vehicle now?" routine, this coming from yet another manager. Answer: give me a reasonable amount of money for the trade-in vehicles, and drop the price on the new car to something reasonable. (It's not complicated.) I left, and went to a "no-bull" dealership later that day, where a salesperson quickly located two vehicles with only the options I wanted. Price for the vehicle was fair, price for trade-ins also pretty fair. Dealt with one person for the whole process. Got through the whole process in 3 hours (which included a test drive and waiting for my husband to get to the dealership, which added 1/2 hour). Happy with my purchase from another dealership. I would be hesitant to recommend Gladstone Toyota, and would not likely return there. More
I was referred to Gladstone by one of my coworkers, after reaching out to Dave Elder for a few Rav 4 for my mother he found the exact car we had been looking for and offered a very good price on the car. He reaching out to Dave Elder for a few Rav 4 for my mother he found the exact car we had been looking for and offered a very good price on the car. He referred me to Jeff Sr to take care of the deal and show my mom how to use the car. Jeff was very polite and took care of my mother and I felt comfortable with how it all went down. My mother called me after it was done and couldn't have been happier and couldn't say enough good things about how she was taken care of. Thank you Jeff and Dave. More
I came in to buy a new Tacoma and was greeted by Aaron he was very easy to work with. No pressure to buy he took me around and found me the Truck I was looking for. I told him I was on a budget and what I co was very easy to work with. No pressure to buy he took me around and found me the Truck I was looking for. I told him I was on a budget and what I could afford to pay and he said he would work hard to get me into that Truck. So we ran the numbers and he actually came in under what I was expecting to pay. So I was very pleased with my new Tacoma and would highly recommend talking to Aaron if your in the market for a new vehcile. I have been to just about every dealership in the local area and these guys are by far the easiest dealer to do business with and I will be back again. Thanks again Aaron. More

Wow. I have gotten haircuts that took longer than buying a new truck at Gladstone Toyota. I wanted a four-wheel drive to replace my old 2WD Tacoma. Sou Chou showed me a couple of good used trucks (Toyota Ce a new truck at Gladstone Toyota. I wanted a four-wheel drive to replace my old 2WD Tacoma. Sou Chou showed me a couple of good used trucks (Toyota Certified, which is a major advantage and a comfort). I chose a manual shift, which can be hard to find, and he got my old truck appraised in a flash. I financed the new truck at a very favorable rate, and drove it home two hours later. I couldn't be more pleased . Sou got me some coffee, and by the time we had discussed the economy, he was handing me keys. Seth and David Ruppert came over and were very cordial, while Dave Elder did the appraisal. It was all one big family gathering. I would admit that I did not do much shopping around beforehand, because I don't enjoy being "sold" at every dealership in town. I looked at one used car lot, and was quoted a very attractive price...attractive until I researched the Internet and found the history of 42 incidents. Gladstone showed me the CarFax on my choice, and it was all scheduled maintenance. They also showed me their buy-in cost, their costs to bring it up to Toyota Certified, and their profit margin. The profit was so slim as to be nothing to negotiate over. I had always been told that there was 20% of the price to negotiate, but this was more like 4%. When a vehicle is Toyota Certified, it's as good as new and is warranteed for as long as I will probably be driving. Others say Gladstone's service is just as good as their sales, and I believe it. I would certainly send my friends to Toyota of Gladstone, without hesitation or reservations about it. John S. More

Had some BAD experiences with a KIA dealership in Portland that I had previously thought highly of. Followed my wife's recommendation and drove to Toyota of Gladstone. I was a little wary at first Portland that I had previously thought highly of. Followed my wife's recommendation and drove to Toyota of Gladstone. I was a little wary at first (we wasted 3+ hours at the other dealership), but we spoke with Mr. Elder and he got us together with Sean Overton. We already knew what we wanted and narrowed our selection to two cars, and went with a Prius. I can't help but say that we are 100% satisfied with our purchase! What a great team! More
I appreciated both Seth's no-nonsense approach to the transaction and his sense of urgency in meeting my purchase timing goals. Rodell told us there was not one on the lot at this time, however, he showed us a 2008 Armada Nisson as we started walking through the car lot. By then, Joe Cruz had greeted us also. As we all chatted we mentioned we were celebrating our 49th anniversary on Friday the 13th. Needles to say, after driving the Armada we fell in love with it. Rodell never left our side, and Joe was right there to assist and guide us through all the paperwork and transactions. With all the talking, we learned that Rodell knew our oldest granddaughter through collage. Very small world. After negotitions we then met with Jamshid Nejad for the signing of papers. All 3.men were respectful and charming and we really enjoyed visiting with them. At one point we asked if we could talk alone and it was so funny, they jumped up like jack in the box...;-) We will be taking "Porcupines" to Rodell very soon. We hope Rodell obtains all his wishes and goals... Ask for Rodell Razor ar Gladstone Toyota! More
