Thank you! thank you! thank you! Carl from Gladstone is hands down the best person to buy a car (in my case a truck) from. Exactly the opposite of what you think a car salesman is. He’ll treat you the way hands down the best person to buy a car (in my case a truck) from. Exactly the opposite of what you think a car salesman is. He’ll treat you the way a person should treat a person and make sure you’re buying what YOU want to buy. When you go to Gladstone ask for Carl, I’m sure a promise in a review don’t mean much but go on in and see for yourself. My family has bought four vehicles from him and not once have I been left with buyers remorse. Thank you Carl and can’t wait to see you for the next one! More
Went with my stepson to buy his first real car. He had no idea what he wanted, but being a big guy had to find something that fit him comfortably. Carl Chestnut spent hours with us trying all sorts of model idea what he wanted, but being a big guy had to find something that fit him comfortably. Carl Chestnut spent hours with us trying all sorts of models until we found the right one. He was patient, helpful, and put no pressure on us. I've dealt with car salesmen before of course, but Carl was definitely the best. More

Taking charge Mike Hill got my 2018 Avalon in for a recall re: air bags. I asked him about replacing a wheel cover that I damaged when it scraped a curb recently. Mike Hill got my 2018 Avalon in for a recall re: air bags. I asked him about replacing a wheel cover that I damaged when it scraped a curb recently. He said he could arrange a car for me while the wheel cover was being repaired. Said he knew someone who does that for customers. I will contact him at a later date for that repair. He was very helpful. More
It's complicated I had an appointment to meet with Erik but when I arrived he was helping another customer. No big deal, I get Manuel instead and it's fine. I come b I had an appointment to meet with Erik but when I arrived he was helping another customer. No big deal, I get Manuel instead and it's fine. I come back the next day to sign paperwork and and am corned by Erik. "The work" was already done and there was no reason for him to jump in and force himself into a transaction that did not concern him at that point. Negotiations were over, it was all ready to go, I was just patiently waiting. As politely as I can, I let him know I am fine to sit by myself and insinuate that I want to be left alone. That was not enough and I pretty much tell him that I have had a long day and do not want to talk to him. He says something about how he HAS to stay there and does. He made me sit there and talk to him for what seemed like forever. I finally sign paperwork, get the keys and leave. That is when the emails start and I leave the review for Miguel because he is the one who helped me and I found Erik pretty off putting. I get a call days later from the closer at Toyota saying the truck they sold me has actually been titled to someone else, is not a "new vehicle," and that I have to return it. So there I am at Toyota again, signing paperwork again, doing small talk again, getting "another new truck", whatever. I let it go and move on with my life. But not Erik or these relentless emails from "him or Toyota" wanting a positive review so he can "win his $20" or whatever throughout this on going nightmare of my FIRST EVER new car buying experience. It probably is a bigger system issue within Toyota that makes sales staff stay with costumers the entire time and talk to them about whatever they can to pass time. I have no clue why that is necessary or "required" as Erik suggested. It is exhausting in an already overwhelming process to someone who has never gone though it. I guess some people might enjoy that type of forced interaction, but I do not. I am a licensed therapist who believes in personal consent for communication and does not like to feel that I must sit there and talk to someone about nothing for hours after I work with people's issues all day long. I did not like anything about that the entire time I was there except for some genuine interactions with Miguel and Dolf. I guess Erik was the icing on the cake of a super fake, kind of gross car buying experience. He represents it all and that is probably not fair. He seems like a nice guy but lacks some serious common decency/communication skills unless it really is "the powers above" that make you guys act like that and not like human beings who are genuine and real. Also, you guys sold me used truck for a new truck price. It is hard to want to recommend that to a friend. More
Very helpful and patient with my questions and took time to find the vehicle I was looking for. Did not feel pressured in any way, very pleased. to find the vehicle I was looking for. Did not feel pressured in any way, very pleased. More
