These guys are a joke. I've tried to purchase several cars here only to take my business elsewhere. They aren't competitive on trade-in offers or purchase price. If you aren't the type of customer to off cars here only to take my business elsewhere. They aren't competitive on trade-in offers or purchase price. If you aren't the type of customer to offer instant gratification, they don't want to take the time to negotiate. They get offended easily when you tell them another dealer beat their offer hands down. Before I knew better, I even referred a friend there and NEVER received my $50 referral gift. What a scam. Buyer BEWARE!!! Go to Scott Clark or North Charlotte and stay away from this dealer. More

I did not ask for or want their Roadside Assurance. The service mgr said that it was included and everyone does it. I have read several other complaints about this dealership adding extra charges without the owners authorization. BEWARE of these deceptive practices. I will now go to another dealership for my vehicle maintanence. More
I was searching for a vehicle for my daughter and went through the internet department to get the best deal I could. I have never felt so at home purchasing a vehicle than I did at Toyota of Gastonia. N through the internet department to get the best deal I could. I have never felt so at home purchasing a vehicle than I did at Toyota of Gastonia. No matter what question I asked, it was answered up front and honestly. No playing games. I could have saved a couple hundred dollars going to another Toyota dealership a few miles away, but the way I was taken care of, it was worth spending the extra money. They have followed up with me since purchasing my vehicle several times to make sure everything is okay and to thank me for my business. I would recommend Toyota of Gastonia to everyone I know who is looking to be treated with respect when purchasing a vehicle. More

The dealership charged them $900 labor on a job that would hav way to church. I was away on business so they towed the vehicle to toyota of gastonia. The dealership charged them $900 labor on a job that would have taken me less than one hour with no special tools or knowledge other that a screwdriver and adjustable wrench. Run from these people! I was trying to decide between a Honda Pilot and a Toyota Highlander. Working with Jackie was great. She told me the benefits of the Toyota as well a information regarding the Pilot but not in a negative w Highlander. Working with Jackie was great. She told me the benefits of the Toyota as well a information regarding the Pilot but not in a negative way. She was friendly and professional. It was like I had made a friend by the end of the sales experience. I was introduced to the service department and parts department and was excited that there were women working in both departments. Nothing against the men, but I feel like I can relate better to a woman. AND the service department has a Ladies Night where they go over the "whys" of certain things needing to be done. I cannot wait until the next one so I can attend. Thanks to EVERYONE at this store for making what I had dreaded having to do (purchasing another vehicle) such a wonderful experience. More
My family visited this dealership to shop for a potential new car. The salesman that we worked with was extremely pushy, constantly texting my husband bartering with him via text messages, and even going so f new car. The salesman that we worked with was extremely pushy, constantly texting my husband bartering with him via text messages, and even going so far as to asking my husband if he was mad at him b/c he had not responded. It was overboard. The day that we visited this dealership, my son left his "lovey" there (a small stuffed animal puppy that he is addicted to). We immediately called the dealership as soon as we realized this, and they informed us that they could not locate it. Throughout the following week, my husband continued to get harassed with text messages by this salesman. Then yesterday, out of the blue, he received a text message with a picture of my son's puppy and the message read "Do you still want a Highlander?" My husband and I were beyond speechless. This was quite possibly the most unethical, unprofessional and quite frankly, disgusting act that we have ever experienced. The fact that a salesman would hold our child's "lovey" for "ransom" in order for us to come in and buy a car from them was rock bottom. Toyota of Gastonia has now truly defined for me what a true "sleazy car salesman" means. I will never return to this dealership, and based off of the sales staff ethics and high level of unprofessionalism, I would NOT recommend that you shop there. In the end, even before this text incident, we went with another dealership (that was farther away) simply based off the fact that they were much nicer and professional. I am beyond disgusted by Toyota of Gastonia. More

I recently bought a new Camry from Toyota of Gastonia and I recently bought a new Camry from Toyota of Gastonia and Richard Walsh. I wanted to let you know that Richard Walsh, was a breath of fresh air c I recently bought a new Camry from Toyota of Gastonia and Richard Walsh. I wanted to let you know that Richard Walsh, was a breath of fresh air compared to other car-buying experiences I've had over the years. Richard was friendly and personable. Richard took the time to explain everything in appropriate detail, and he answered all of my questions thoroughly. He treated me with respect and didn't presume that because I was a female, I didn't know what I was doing or what I was looking for. (I really appreciated that!) He listened to what I said I wanted, and while he did suggest other possible options for me to consider, he didn't insist on those other options, and he respected and understood what I said I had come there for......a 2011 Toyota Camry. The bottom line is that Richard represented your dealership VERY well. He did everything by the book, and he didn't cut corners on providing us with excellent service. I have already told my relatives, my neighbors, my friends, my coworkers , and the people at my church what a pleasant and professional car-buying experience I had. I told them they needed to buy their next car from Richard Walsh at Toyota of Gastonia. RSDeese More
I looked at a used car one night the dealer was open. I sat in the car and adjusted the seat to see how it felt, etc...The next thing I know I had two salesmen starring me down as if I had just stolen the sat in the car and adjusted the seat to see how it felt, etc...The next thing I know I had two salesmen starring me down as if I had just stolen the car. I told them I was very interested in it and I went inside and spoke with the manager on duty about buying the car. He was belligerent to say the least. He stated his "salesmen" stated I had been "going through" the car and told me not to bother his cars ever again unless I had a salesperson with me. I was floored! I gave him my driver's license and asked for him to look me up in their database as I had purchase 7 cars from them since they had been opened (including a very expensive Corvette, newer Camrys and a new truck...plus all were cash deals... Once he saw that his tone changed just a little and I was still very interested in the car as it was a sports sedan equipped with a 6 speed transmission. Two days later went ahead and pulled the cash out of the bank and bought a cashiers check and then went back out to the Toyota dealership. When I got there the smart ___sed manager was there and, of all things, I heard him ripping into a young salesperson and he was very rude to her. I then became upset, put the $19k check back into my shirt pocket walked away! Terry Childers or Son Ngo the former GM and assistant gm would have never let that happen and would have never allowed a manager to act that way but there was no-one in charge, at all and the whole thing stunk as did the dealership....a place I used to love to deal with! WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT MY TOYOTA IN 1997, THEY SWITCHED CARS ON ME. I HAD BOUGHT A TOYOTA AVALON XLS AND THEY GAVE ME AN XL. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION, THEY DENIED THAT I BOUGHT AN XLS. THEY LIE ON ME. I HAD BOUGHT A TOYOTA AVALON XLS AND THEY GAVE ME AN XL. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION, THEY DENIED THAT I BOUGHT AN XLS. THEY LIED. IN 2010 I STUPIDLY WENT TO THIS SAME DEALERSHIP HOPING THEY HAD CHANGED AND BOUGHT ANOTHER AVALON. THEY DID THE PAPERWORK TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE A SMALL INTEREST RATE. I WENT INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND CHECKED THE PAPERS BEFORE SIGNING. THANK GOD. WHEN I DID, THEY LIED ABOUT THE INTEREST RATE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP AND I TELL EVERYONE NOT TO DEAL W/THEM. More
