WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT MY TOYOTA IN 1997, THEY SWITCHED CARS ON ME. I HAD BOUGHT A TOYOTA AVALON XLS AND THEY GAVE ME AN XL. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION, THEY DENIED THAT I BOUGHT AN XLS. THEY LIE ON ME. I HAD BOUGHT A TOYOTA AVALON XLS AND THEY GAVE ME AN XL. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION, THEY DENIED THAT I BOUGHT AN XLS. THEY LIED. IN 2010 I STUPIDLY WENT TO THIS SAME DEALERSHIP HOPING THEY HAD CHANGED AND BOUGHT ANOTHER AVALON. THEY DID THE PAPERWORK TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE A SMALL INTEREST RATE. I WENT INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND CHECKED THE PAPERS BEFORE SIGNING. THANK GOD. WHEN I DID, THEY LIED ABOUT THE INTEREST RATE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP AND I TELL EVERYONE NOT TO DEAL W/THEM. More
Worst customer service I have ever received from a business. One person says part will take more than a month, another says less than a week; you buy top of the line vehicles and they want to give yo business. One person says part will take more than a month, another says less than a week; you buy top of the line vehicles and they want to give you bottom of the line loaner vehicles for extended/ unknown periods; customer service manager swears at you without even bothering to introduce herself; manager expects you to provide personal details regarding the type of business you're in... Wow!! If you want to buy low end you'll get what you pay for - if you buy high end expect much less. You won't catch me dropping $70k in one day at this dealership again. More
I worked with Joe Kaye thru the internet department and could not have asked for a better experience. Usually purchasing a vehicle is like going to the dentist but not with the staff at Toyota of Gastonia could not have asked for a better experience. Usually purchasing a vehicle is like going to the dentist but not with the staff at Toyota of Gastonia. Joe was like a brother, very comfortable to work with. He wasn't pushy, answered my questions and didn't give me the runaround. His manager, Mark Hoffman was equally as nice, very busy, but still took the time to meet me, thank me for my business and gave me his card with his direct line in the event I had any questions and Joe wasn't available. They took me to meet the service and parts staff and I didn't meet a person who wasn't smiling and friendly. I have told my friends and co-workers about my experience and told them if they want a trouble free car buying experience, cut to the chase and go directly to Toyota of Gastonia. More
Toyota of Gastonia offers an excellent service experience if you do not ask them Quality Vehicle Inspection sheet. Service personnel are friendly and accommodating and appear to appreciate the customer's bus if you do not ask them Quality Vehicle Inspection sheet. Service personnel are friendly and accommodating and appear to appreciate the customer's business. There is some effort to "sell" service, but it is not unduly high pressure or for silly services, and if you say "no" they do not argue. Service is carried out correctly and promptly, and service writers do not communicate well. I recently took my '08 Prius in for a resealing windshield for moisture issue . The work is done promptly but while delivering the vehicle they didn't tighten the rearview mirror, it is literally at the edge to fall down and the Glass company they used did not even bother to wipe doen the mess they created inside the car dashboard. Before taking this car to them for resealing windsheild they did not bother to respond me for one month and when I met the GM they said the video cannot be played on their computers which describes the issue, they even no courtesy to leave you an message saying it cannot be played send it other format. I highly recommend Toyota of Gastonia for service if only I lost my mind. More
The dealership had an anoucment in the radio saying that the will payoff the amount you owed in the car, if a deal was reached. Once i was there and started the paper work after 2 hours the sales rep came a the will payoff the amount you owed in the car, if a deal was reached. Once i was there and started the paper work after 2 hours the sales rep came and said that the couldn't fine a bank that would finance the loan that they would have to speak wit hthe banks personally on moanday. It was odd because the car was only 16,767. But ok, today monday 17, 2008, i called and spoke with the finance guys and said that suntrus was welling to work with the number but i needed to know the correct amount, so i was told almost 27,000. so when i asked about the advertisment in the radio, he said that it mention that they will pay for the car but the amount would be transfer to your loan, and no where in the advertisment this clause was mention. It is not only missleading, but also downlow sneaky and unethical practice. I fell that in today economy crisis, this type of businees dealing should be punish to the fullest. More
The atmosphere was great and they showed they cared for you a great deal. Even though we were promise things by others not David things were great. The final paperwork signer promise us gas for having to you a great deal. Even though we were promise things by others not David things were great. The final paperwork signer promise us gas for having to come back but that didn't happen. We were told we should have gotten it in writing. But where I come from your word is gold. I say if you make promises keep them. That's the reason for the 3. Oh my goodness Teresa the reception is wonderful. Keep up the good work Teresa. She is a keeper.. Thanks More
While not as extravagant as the superb service offered by my Lexus dealer, Toyota of Gastonia offers an excellent service experience. There is some effort to "sell" service, but it is not unduly high pressure or for silly services, and if you say "no" they do not argue. Service is carried out correctly and promptly, and service writers communicate well. I recently took my '97 4Runner in on a Saturday for a minor repair to the trailer hitch wiring harness. I only had 2 hours to spare, and they were very busy, but they "worked me in" as a longtime customer and the car was ready in less than an hour. On another recent occassion, I had this vehicle in for mostly routine service, and they gave me a loaner car even though my 4Runner has 155K miles on it and I didn't buy it there. (Only problem was that they had run out of Toyotas so they gave me a Suzuki Aerio (!) they got from Enterprise Car Rental.) Within the limitations imposed by not being a prestige marque like Lexus or Mercedes, I highly recommend Toyota of Gastonia. Good on sales too. More
