The TLDR: Don’t buy a vehicle from Toyota at Fox Lake. The issues I’ve experienced during my buying process with Toyota Fox Lake: - When i arrived to the dealership (had already scheduled an appointme The issues I’ve experienced during my buying process with Toyota Fox Lake: - When i arrived to the dealership (had already scheduled an appointment, let them know vehicles i wanted to look at) it took over 2hrs for them to show me 3 vehicles in which i only test drove one of them. Others were in disrepair and didn’t meet the requirements i told them i was looking for. - Once negotiations started it took over 3hrs to come to a price and start the financing portion of the purchase. - During financing they rushed you through the papers and tried to upsell you on a number of different items. “Accidentally” trying to charge $500 for a theft protection that was never discussed in negotiations etc… - Once we left the dealership, there were issues with the vehicle. I called our local Toyota dealership and they informed us the vehicle was not a certified pre-owned vehicle, which the Fox Lake location had charged us for “certification” and told us it was. - For the past 3 days I’ve been calling Fox Lake Toyota and have gotten the run around on financing questions that don’t align with the terms we discussed in negotiation and no resolution on the pre-owned certification piece. Overall, I am very disappointed with the sales people at Fox Lake, quality of vehicle i purchased, and price point at which i purchased it. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle at this dealership. More

Drove an hour+ to look at car listed for $22,500 when I got there the car had a bunch of scratches and dents all of the thing but it drove well so I was still interested. Despite all of this, they tried to add $8k+ worth of “accessories” and would not sell me the car unless I took a loan with them instead. The sales manager kept trying to use bulls*** tactics to get me to sign but when I refused, he was uninterested to sell to me and said he had other buyers. This dealership is such a scam and Leo (sales manager) will do whatever to make a buck off someone. Try to avoid this place. Although despite my terrible experience, the salesman that worked with me, Kyle was very nice and very helpful/honest. More

This was not stated on the cars.com site for the truck I was interested in. My wife and I both stated to him in a not very kind tone that that was bait and switch. He said the additional cost was in the small print at the bottom of the page. My wife looked and there was no such information on the page. He must have thought we were stupid. They also tried to rush us to go look at the truck saying that other people were going to be looking at the truck too. This is a pressure tactic and I did not appreciate it. I would rather walk than buy a vehicle from a snake like him. To bad I can’t give them negative stars because it would be -5 stars. More
