Toyota of Fort Walton Beach responded

The customer has a problem with the sales department, not service. The corrections she refers to are paint chips which the sales department made an arrangement directly with the paint vendor to make the repairs. There was no appointment with service. The service repair order was written so a purchase order could be provided to the paint vendor. The Customer Relations Manager was out of town when this occurred (8-11-14) but spoke with the customer on 8-14-14 at which time Ms. Butler related her concerns about the paint and some interior spots. She said that she had been here for the repair and was told they were complete. When she checked on the repairs, they were not done so she met with the paint vendor and showed him her areas of concern. He took the vehicle and when he returned the repairs to the paint were satisfactory. Because Ms. Butler lives out of the area, she was asked to send photos of her concerns and the Customer Relations Manager offered to contact the dealer in her area. Mrs. Butler stated to the Customer Relations Manager that there had been some problems with the sales manager regarding some of her concerns since they were not noted on the paperwork at the time of delivery. The only concern noted on the paperwork was the paint chips which were repaired. Because of the nature of her concerns, Mrs. Butler was told the dealer in her area would have to inspect the vehicle and if the items were warranty items, the correction could be made at any Toyota dealer. If they were not warranty items, the cause for the "damages" would have to be determined by the dealer inspection and addressed appropriately.
