After speaking with over 10 dealers in the Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas area regarding a price quote for a Toyota Highlander Limited, Matthew won us over with his offer and came through with everything Texas, and Arkansas area regarding a price quote for a Toyota Highlander Limited, Matthew won us over with his offer and came through with everything that was discussed via email and phone conversations. We live in Tulsa so the entire deal was completed mainly through emails. (The car we were replacing had been declared a total loss five days earlier so we were on a tight deadline to find a new car and found contacting several dealers through the Internet was the best way to get competitive pricing quickly.) Matthew also took care of the financing over the phone as well so everything was ready to go when we arrived at the dealership. ( the 0% financing was a great deal too.)Matthew gave us a 90 minute tour of all the gadgets in the car including taking the time to sync our iPhones via Bluetooth. I have never had such an easy time purchasing a car. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. It was well worth our one hour and 45 minute drive! More
This was a price bait and switch. We received a trade in voucher on our car so took it in to talk with the gentlemen whom we purchased our last car with at the dealership because we liked him(Ron) and felt voucher on our car so took it in to talk with the gentlemen whom we purchased our last car with at the dealership because we liked him(Ron) and felt his word was good. We had met with the Toyota division of this dealership last fall and got the run around with them doing the switcheroo with numbers with the same out come. We left mad. Anyhow as we had the trade in voucher in which the trade in price on our car was $8750 we had Ron run all the numbers and decided to go through with the purchase of a Prius with the trade in. Ron took our voucher and also wrote all the numbers down and we agreed. We went to pick up the Prius and somehow the Toyota Division of this dealership had no paperwork(probably got shedded by them). They first said they would only give us $6300 on it but raised it to $8000. We were not happy but wanted the car so did agree but felt totally cheated out of $750. Our mistake was not getting copies of the paperwork that was written up with Ron for proof. As we highly trusted this salesman with a previous history with him so felt a handshake was sufficient. I still do not think Ron had anything to do with this situation. The salesmen working for the Toyota Division and well as all management (I believe we spoke with all) had the same attitude and I feel like they regularly play games like this with their customers. Anyway we were told our trade in was not even worth the $8000 they gave us and they would loose money but they turned around and sold it for over $12,000 a few days later. Anyway we received a feedback call from Toyota the day after the purchase and told them exactly what happened. It seems the dealership was able to listen to the taped phone call(we did not know this) and then called us and had my partner so upset he finally had to end the phone call. This was a typical price bait and switch and I want others who purchase from this dealership to be very careful and get copies of everything. It takes a lot of effort on our *After listing feedback on several sites, opening a case with Toyota as well as the BBB the manager of Fayetteville Auto Park became aware of this issue and send us a check to refund the $750. Summarizing my horrible experience: This is new car buying..I live in Fort Smith -Toyota of Fayetteville site mislead me to believe BUYER BEWARE!! Summarizing my horrible experience: This is new car buying..I live in Fort Smith -Toyota of Fayetteville site mislead me to believe new Highlander Base had what it did in pics but not person. -I decided to leave and think about the step up model(sport). They gave me a good price for step up...Came back few days later to buy..Presented a "Fayetteville Auto Park VIP" card to try to get a sweeter deal...No go...This card is a joke to make buyers feel valued and thats it....they actually jacked up the price up agreed upon and the current Manager Matt would not honor the price on the print out David(other manager) gave me. Wow VIP....guess they dont care about repeat customers. -No General Manager present to complain to. -Waste of gas(money) + time driving from Fort Smith to Fayetteville thanks for nothing Toyota of Fayetteville. -George Torres called me few days later see if I was still interested(wow at the moment....) told him the situation and he talked to David Lester(manager) Finally agreed to honor the DEAL(wow again at the moment). I was told to come in that day in order to get it and they will be holding it for me. -Had to call in work in order to get deal.(lost some money there) -Came up to dealer and saw that they park the car in front looks like its ready for me. I walked inside and was greated by George. George told me they sold my car. I laughed and and he smiled with me as I thought he was kidding. Reality kicked in when I saw the new owners get into the car(very sad..thought tears were gonna drop).I was extremely disapointed and pissed off. They suggested me to look in the lot at the Limited.(bait and switch??). I was not interested. (suffered more economic loss...Thanks for nothing again Toyota of Fayetteville). They said they will try to look for similar one for me and will call me next day by afternoon. -Next day never got a call...I called George. He said they could not find another one and acutally blamed all this issues on me for not buying the day they gave me the deal. Thanks for nothing. I suffered economic loss through this dealer and was scammed multiple times..I reported to BBB and they say this isssue is actually out of there scope!! I will be contacting Penske Automotive(parent company) reguarding this. This does make be wonder how many complaints this (supposed A+) dealer have dodge through BBB because of things out of its scope. I have since bought the vehicle at another dealer. (actually more car for a very minimal amount more). BUYER BEWARE!!! More
