This is the worst service ever. They don't know how to respect people and evaluate their time. I made an appointment with them to diagnose a problem in my 2015 toyota Sienna automat They don't know how to respect people and evaluate their time. I made an appointment with them to diagnose a problem in my 2015 toyota Sienna automatic sliding door, and I arrived at the time (11:30 am) and a woman of the staff took my car and told me it will take one to two hours to diagnose the problem. I wait there more than three hours and they do nothing. I ask the women how long it is going to take more because I need to bring my children from school. She said I don't know, and they need more time for that. But I had to go. They tried to make me lease a car from them and leave my car there, but I asked them to bring my car and leave. She said they were working in my car, and they disassembled the door and needed time to assemble the door, but I insisted on taking the car and leaving. She took two minutes to bring the car, and that meant that they weren't working with my car. She was mad and threw the key and told me to go and take the car. The car sliding door stopped working after it was opened and closed suddenly when I was driving in the freeway and the window glass broke too. Toyota expanded the warranty for nine years because some of the door parts have defects. They have to do the repair for free, but they wanted to charge me $195 for diagnosing the problem only and then see how much the parts cost. I will contact toyota usa and complain at better businesses bureau. They are non-professional and so rude and try to rip people too. More

My 83 year old father had an appointment for 11:45 for routine maintenance and check engine light on on his 2016 Toyota. He waited without access to food, shuttle or courtesy car until 4 pm. If you make an appointment and can’t honor your customers time, short staffed or whatever crazy excuse you have to leave him stranded, you best reevaluate your system. He mentioned numerous time he was just discharged from the hospital 2 days prior, had difficulty waiting in your seating area, but you let him just sit uncomfortably in your waiting area. And to top it off, the stupid light is still on! What kind of circus are you running down there? Truly disheartening and unbelievable! Try another dealership for service, this group is understaffed, unfulfilled customer service and just lack compassion! You just took advantage of an elderly man who couldn’t speak up for himself. On 11/27/2021 I took my car to Toyota of El Cajon for an oil change. They did a dignostic assessment and everything was perfect according to their report. I was told by the service assistant that the car wa oil change. They did a dignostic assessment and everything was perfect according to their report. I was told by the service assistant that the car was in great condition. After that, I only drove the car a very small number of miles before I noticed about a week ago, that the engine was making an unusual noise. I lifted the hood and saw oil all over the oil filter and a big quantity of oil below it. Whenever I turned on the car, oil starts leaking profusely from the oil filter. I even took a clear video of that. They technicians left the oil filter loose and because of that, car lost more than half the level of oil and the engine life may be compromised, as the engine sound became much more rough than I used to hearing. I notified the company and the car was towed to them last friday to fix their mistake. However, on Monday they called me denying there was any oil leaking from the oil filter, even though I had a clear video that I took on Friday, one hour before the car was towed which shows the leak!!! That was very surprising to me because I never imagined they would use dishonesty and not admit the mistake they made. What's more, they brough up a whole list of issues with the car, even though the first report showed absolutely nothing wrong with the car, and I had only driven the car so little from the time I had them do the oil change to the time I discovered the oil leak. When I had initially talked with the service assistant, he said that the company has been hiring a lot of new technicians who are still learning, so making mistakes is very possible and expected. I told him that those technicians might've caused these issues to my car unintentially. But he insisted that they propably made an error and missed these issues when the car was first assessed. But if that was the case, why would the company not take responsibility for this error? By making this error and making me think everything was perfect with my car, when it may not have been, they are depriving me from the right to know the truth. If I had known there were issues with my car, I would've fixed them immedietly. But since they didn't tell me and I didn't know, they put my life and the lives of others at risk because a car accident or something bad could have happened, and great harm would have been inflicted. I left the company yesterday feeling extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. The company was dishonest with me. They made errors and caused damages, but instead of acknowleding them, they denied them and kept trying to justify their shortcomings. Update: today, I spoke to the company's fixed-operations director, and he did finally admit that there was oil leaking from the oil filter, and acknowledged the fact that I was given misinformation with regards to the diagnostics report, but still insisted that his company will not take responsibility for this misinformation. Very disappointed with this service and feel like I was cheated and lied to constantly in a place one would normally trust. More
Toyota El Cajon are very engaged, the place is moving like Central Station, everyone is most helpful from entry desk staff to service to those working the cars/ support system.
