Disappointing Service Experience I took my Scion in because the engine check light was on and the engine was running rough. I was advised that it was necessary to do diagnostic test I took my Scion in because the engine check light was on and the engine was running rough. I was advised that it was necessary to do diagnostic test that would cost $60. $60 and 2 hours later I was advise that the problem was excessive carbon build up and that a $300 "engine clean/de carbon" would be required which I scheduled for the following day. However on the way home I stopped at Advanced Auto Parts,. They did a 30 second diagnostic for free and advised that the problem was a faulty ignition coil. A new coil ($78) and 5 minutes later the car was running perfectly and the engine check light was no longer on. How can the dealership get it so wrong? and that after charging a $60 diagnostic fee. MY CAR EXPERIENCE I PURCHASED A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. THE SALES PERSON WAS VERY GOOD AT HELPING ME PURCHASE MY CAR. A great exprience when I decided to re-lease a car. I took my 2015 Corolla in for routine maintenance - dealt with Walter whom I love also. He is always so kind and helpful. While waiting for my car to be ready, I walked over to the Sales area just to inquire about re-leasing. I sad down and Ernis came over, and it went on from there. He was most helpful providing information about the car especially the new technology it provides. I am not very tech-savvy, so all the information he provided was helpful. I told him that before he showed me any cars, we had to get the dollars worked out - hopefully that would be amicable for both of us. We did that, and he even called the insurance company to see what changes a re-lease would affect. To my surprise, it would lower the monthly payment!! Once we got that done, he proceeded with John Dearing added in, and we got the figures worked out to my liking, and the transaction proceeded from there. Ernis was there when I cleaned out my previous car - I was not given that opportunity when I leased the first time. John Dearing was also wonderful and helpful when it came to the financial end of the transaction - a part I always HATE. Hopefully one day, there will be a way to eliminate all of the long sheets of paper, and multiple signatures required. Overall, I really appreciated the attention I was given by both gentlemen.
