Been meaning to write this for awhile now - took my car in to get some noises fixed a few weeks after purchase (used from a different dealer)… the dealership ended up flagging 3k worth of fixes to the timi in to get some noises fixed a few weeks after purchase (used from a different dealer)… the dealership ended up flagging 3k worth of fixes to the timing seal that my personal mechanic had not flagged just a week prior. I trusted the dealer, got it done. Ended up back at the dealership a half a year later with a check engine light - different service rep this go around who claims that the “timing seal” is leaking and needs repair, same as the first go round. I tell him - hey, you guys fixed this months ago, why is this an issue? He scrambles to check their files and realizes that is in fact the case - and all of a sudden, the timing seal is no longer an issue of note and the repairs were done perfectly the first time around! The whole thing has me seriously doubting that I ever needed the first 3k worth of repairs in the first place. Unfortunately, I have completely lost faith the in this dealership as a result and will not feel comfortable taking my vehicle back there ever again despite living so close by. More
Brought my 2021 Highlander in for routine service as I do all my vehicles Toyota's, Ford, Hyundai, etc. Always work with Daniel and as usual our interaction was exceptional.
