I took my girlfriends car in for service on 8/8/13...not really sure where to go or what to do, I was greeted by a young lady named Christina. She asked me a few questions and then took me to her desk where really sure where to go or what to do, I was greeted by a young lady named Christina. She asked me a few questions and then took me to her desk where she looked up my girlfriends information. Christina was very knowledgeable of the services my girls car was due for and assured me she would have me out of there in an hour or less and guided me to the customer lounge...25 minutes later she came and got me and explained everything tht was done to the car and assured everything was good. It felt like she was there every step of the way making sure I was completely comfortable with everything. She was very personable and even went and got my girls car herself in a timely manner where she explained what and when my next service would be. I have never ever been in and out of a service department so fast in my life with nothing being wrong afterwards. I will highly recommend Toyota of Bowie to my friends and I actually look forward to my next visit there. More
With over 60,000 miles on my 2004 Toyota Avalon, I walked into Toyota of Bowie Service Center on the morning of 8/8/2013 worried crazy about a noisy sound coming from the engine. Nervous about what it could be, the young lady at the service desk greeted me with a genuine smile, patiently listened to my concern and comforted me with exemplary customer service rarely seen these days. With further assistance, she assured me that she would put me in good hands to take care of the matter and introduced me to Ann Meechie. She was another breath of fresh air with her greeting and conversation. She told me about the much needed 60,000 mile maintenance and a recall matter that needed attention. I felt that this would take a long time and mentioned that I was a little concerned because my mother was just home from the hospital. To my surprise, she told me that she could give me a rental, I think… because of the maintenance needed. I can’t begin to explain how relieved I was. This was a huge help! Before I knew it, I was in the rental and on my way. Ann called later in the day to explain everything that was needed and her recommendations. She was candid and warm as she explained the recommendations and minor things that could wait. Doing so allowed me to make a much needed money saving decision. Much to my surprise, my car was ready the next morning! Less than 24 hours! I was thrilled! I am extremely happy with my experience at Toyota of Bowie and feel blessed to have met Ann Meechie. You must be elated to have her on your team. She is a jewel! Thank you for making your customers your #1 concern. Your motto is TRUE and shines brightly. The staff tried to run my credit report before discussing pricing, which I refused because I already had a pre-approved loan. The staff also insisted on knowing the payoff on my trade before they would disc pricing, which I refused because I already had a pre-approved loan. The staff also insisted on knowing the payoff on my trade before they would discuss pricing, which I refused because I am an experienced buyer and know pricing can be negotiated without this. My refusals bothered the management, and apparently resulted in a very low trade in offer ($8K below what another dealership offered). Disgusted at this entire experience, I asked for my car key so I could leave. The manager took it upon himself to belittle me, telling me to get out of there while using physical gestures telling me to do the same. Easily the worst dealership experience of my life. More

Because I had done an initial test drive of the RAV4 at this dealership, I contacted them with a specific deal to meet or beat that had already been granted by another Toyota dealership. I told them they were way too far away for me to come out without knowing they could meet or beat the deal I already had. I told them what I needed and the manager got on the phone and assured me he would beat it. I told them specifics: model and price, current trade in and trade in offer, financing required. I drove many miles to get there, just to encounter item after item that they wouldn't uphold after having said they would on the phone. First the finance percentage. Then the price of the car. Then what they would give on a trade in. Hours later, I gave up and walked out. Sadly for this dealership, I am aware of at least two other sales this has cost them. My credit rating is in the 800's, I was putting almost half down in cash. Happily for me, I went to the much better Toyota dealership the next morning and drove away with the deal I had offered to Toyota Bowie. Love my RAV4. Wouldn't recommend for anyone to do business with Toyota Bowie. More
I had a wonderful experience with Bryan Wood who was my internet dealer. Anytime I emailed him whether it was early in day or late at night he would email back in a timely manner. Bryan was so knowlegable and willing to do whatever was within his means to make a sale. I truly enjoyed working with him as well as the other staff I encountered. This dealership is by far the friendliest. I truly would recommend this dealership to everyone interested in buying a Toyota. Kudos to everyone. Keep up the good work. More
Made an appt. for 10:30 am for a routine 10K service (which consists of an oil change, new filter and tire rotation - there is some additional work such as eye-balling the brake pads for wear when the t (which consists of an oil change, new filter and tire rotation - there is some additional work such as eye-balling the brake pads for wear when the tires are off for rotation, and checking the fluid levels under the hood - but NOTHING that takes more than several additional minutes) This is a 20 to 30 minute job -- tops. Arrived early at about 10:10 am and checked in. Went to the waiting room and noticed that the room was crowded -- almost all the seats were taken and some folks were standing --- probably about 20 -25 people in total. After an hour and 1/2 of waiting, I checked on the status of my car and was told that my car was being worked on, but that another car was ahead of me. (So if another car is ahead of me, that would therefore mean my car is still sitting and waiting for service -- right?) Meanwhile, in the waiting room, I noticed that most all of the other customers had left with their cars by this time, including several folks that arrived AFTER I did. I know, because I saw them drive up and get checked in. Finally, after 2 and 1/2 hours, my car was brought to me. This is good customer service?? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind waiting my turn, but I made an appt. for 10:30. And when it now becomes obvious to me that other customers who were paying for their service and because I was not (my service was complementary), it was crystal clear that I was put at the end of the line !! This was not a matter of the dealership overbooking appts or getting backed up -- ALL THE OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE GONE FROM THE WAITING ROOM AND I WAS THE LAST TO BE CALLED. I will not return to Toyota of Bowie nor will I ever recommend that my family and friends go there for anything. My past experience with BROWN TOYOTA and RUSSELL TOYOTA is far, far, far better. If this is how TOYOTA OF BOWIE treats someone who just wanted a simple oil and filter change, imagine how they can screw you if you're looking to buy a car from them? And look at where this dealership ranks with all the other dealerships near Bowie/Crofton -- DEAD LAST!!! I wonder why??? More
