Negative turned into a positive Years ago I started using this service department because a previous dealership was unsatisfactory. My last visit made me reconsider...After paying fo Years ago I started using this service department because a previous dealership was unsatisfactory. My last visit made me reconsider...After paying for my repairs I was directed to service. I was greeted by a worker who said "May I help you?" I told him I was there to get my vehicle and showed him my receipt. He got my keys and handed them to me. I voiced my disappointment stating "I don't like your procedure, because I should not have to get my vehicle!" I started towards the parking lot, but due to a health issue, I had to stop, lean against the wall and catch my breath. At that time another gentleman, who recognized I was in distress, came over and asked if I was ok. At which time he could see that I was not, and assisted me to a chair and gave me a bottle of water. Another gentleman came up and asked for my keys and stated that he would get my vehicle. The thing about it, these men were the farthest two away from me. Other workers in the area didn't even acknowledge me or my struggle. I later found out that these two gentlemen were Michael Porter and Bernard Cherry. They treated me with the utmost respect and let me know that this incident is not the reflection Toyota West, its managers or the two of them want to be conveyed to their customers. Kudos to these gentlemen. I once heard and am a firm believer that: YOU CAN'T FORCE SOMEONE TO RESPECT YOU, BUT YOU CAN REFUSE TO BE DISRESPECTED. If not for these two gentlemen, Michael Porter and Bernard Cherry, I would be finding another dealership to service my vehicle. More
