However, my experience buying a used Prius from Kevin Hamlin of Toyota Town of Stockton was so amazing that I am compelled to sing the praises of his amazing customer service. Not only did Kevin make my experience seamless, his kindness and knowledge of the purchasing process helped me relax and feel confident about the amazing terms he was able to secure for me. My credit is not stellar, but he treated me with total respect and professionalism. I drove all the way from Alameda to see the car and Kevin was welcoming and made the drive well worth it for me and my family. I was so happy driving off of the lot with my new ride, that I promise to return to buy all of my next Toyota cars. And by the way, I LOVE MY PRIUS! Thank you Kevin! More

painless My husband and i went into the dealership to browse the lot. We were greeted by our salesman, and asked what we were looking for. They had a Tacoma My husband and i went into the dealership to browse the lot. We were greeted by our salesman, and asked what we were looking for. They had a Tacoma on the lot that was exactly what we were hoping to find. Certified used, double cab Tacoma with around 50,000 miles and a long bed. They worked with us a bit on the price, the down payment and the APR. We drove off the lot a few hours later in our very clean 2011 Tacoma! Since bringing her home, we noticed that the tie down cleats were missing and that 1 rubber strip from the top of the cab was also missing. Tom, in sales has given us the cleats and ordered the rubber strip. No complaints from us! This has been the best car buying experience we've had! More
Very Pleasant Car Buying Experience I have had many new cars in my life, so I can truly say, I know what a good car buying experience is and I definitely know what a bad car buying exper I have had many new cars in my life, so I can truly say, I know what a good car buying experience is and I definitely know what a bad car buying experience is. This one was definitely a good one. If you are looking for a good dealership with honest people, I highly recommend Toyota of stockton, and my sales Rep. Kevin Hamlin. You could simply stop reading now if that's enough for you... or you can settle in and read all the details below. Anyone that thinks a car salesman's job is easy, is clearly not grasping the big picture. Think about it. Someone walks through the door and they are not even sure they want to buy a car, let alone a car that your dealership sells... Right off the bat, the salesman is at a disadvantage. Think about it... You go to the grocery store to buy chicken, and you would never leave without it. You wouldn't drive to baskin robbins to get ice cream and then leave without it would you? And yet... you could very easily walk into a car dealership and walk right out and not buy anything.... See what I mean? For some people the experience can be overwhelming, after all, next to a house, a car may very well be the 2nd biggest purchase that someone makes.... My advice is (a) be honest with the salesman and yourself. If your credit sucks, tell them. If you only want to spend so much money, tell them. The salesperson can only help you if they truly understand your situation and you lay all your cards on the table. It's not a game, it's a purchase, and it's supposed to be pleasant. right? ** Now on to my deal ** (The purchase) . I signed up for the costco auto program online and my information was sent over the Toyota of stockon. Withing about 15 minutes Kevin called me back and we started talking details. To be completely honest, he didn't even have the car I was looking for on his lot, and yet he promptly put together pricing (which was much better than the other dealership I had already been to). Later that morning I drove to the dealership and spoke with Kevin in person. We went over the options as to what was available for the model I wanted. As it turned out, there were very few 2014 models of what I wanted and the closest that I liked was in Reno NV. After a little bit of debate Kevin told me that he would drive to Reno and get the car for me personally. ( Really? Who does that?) Long story short, Kevin went out of his way to get the vehicle I wanted and spent half the day driving to reno and back to do so. (The Delivery) Kevin called me saturday afternoon to tell me that my car was ready for pick up. I went to the dealership and Kevin and I went for a walk to find where the porter had parked it. Kevin had pointed out on the phone that there were a couple nicks in the paint and that his paint dept would take care of that within the next week. After looking at the car there were a few cosmetic things that I was not happy with, and if I am being completely honest, I was a little surprised that I was the one that had to point it out. However, As soon as I pointed it out, It was immediately taken care of to my satisfaction. ( I want to point out, that No experience is perfect... We are all only human ... and as much as we all want perfection, it's just not realistic. Whats more important to me is the extra mile that someone is willing to go to make sure you are happy, and for me, seeing how they dealt with the couple issues I had is a good sign that looking forward my service experiences will also be treated with the same prompt attention to detail. ) . The Financial junk After Kevin and his team made sure I was happy with the car, it was on to finance. After waiting about 15 minutes and consuming 2 free dixie cups of coffee ( PS. Please get bigger coffee cups ) I met with Jeff in finance. This was also a very pleasant experience, I think I was probably in and out in 10 or 15 minutes. Jeff took the time to make sure I understood what I was signing,but did not try to beat me about the head and next with extra warranty coverage, paint protective sealant or any other snake oil that sometimes get's vomited all over you by greedy finance managers. ( fyi.. if you didn't know they get paid bonus money for all of those things they sell you, thats why they do it). So I was very pleased when we didn't have to play that game. In summary, First and foremost I very much enjoy my new commuter car. My sales experience was great, The price was extremely fair and the attention I got from beginning to end has been perfect. I am extremely pleased that Kevin was my point of contact . It was a very straight forward experience, which is exactly what it should be. It doesn't have to be a battle, in fact it shouldn't be. You need a car, they need to sell a car. Seems like a perfect match. Treat the people you are dealing with, with respect and I am sure you will be extremely pleased with the outcome. I know I was. I worked with Shaan on the deal at the dealership and he even made himself available to deliver the new truck to my home after I purchased it. Shaan was not only knowledgeable about their products, but also many other brands, which gave me the feel I was working with a real "car" guy and not just a salesman. It was probably the quickest, and certainly the most pleasant vehicle buying experience I've had. The dealership is under reconstruction, but don't mind the mess. There are good deals and good people there. More
