Hi Brad, When your salesperson Ashley called you last week, you told her you would remove your negative review (on all 4 of the review sites you posted on) if we gave you GAP insurance for free. I'm sorry, but it's our policy to not give free stuff to customers to remove their online reviews...no matter how inaccurate or bad the reviews are. Thank you for purchasing your Tacoma and C-HR from us. I'm glad to hear your Tacoma purchase was excellent...and I'm sorry you were not happy with your C-HR purchase. Unfortunately, someone tapped the C-HR bumper which made a slight scratch before you took delivery. We never want anyone purchase a vehicle with a scratch so we offered to replace the bumper or locate another C-HR. You elected for a different C-HR so we located another one for you. Unfortunately, we do not have any control over what the lender sets as their interest rates...because we are a dealership, not the bank. In an effort to accommodate your situation, we lowered the selling price (made less profit on the sale) and got you a Toyota sub-vented rate of 0%...much lower than the 2.99% you initially had to make up for the reduced rebate. This lowered your monthly payment...so overall you got a much better deal. This was the least we could do to make the situation right. Again, please accept my sincerest apology on behalf of our dealership. We are here at your service and don't hesitate to contact us anytime. Jason Kim General Manager

To correct the response... yes, the rate went to 0%... but we lost the rebate. So it is still a net loss, unless the car is kept the entire term of the loan, which it likely won't be. Therefore it is still a loss. In regards to the GAP insurance - I was asked what would make me feel better about being ripped off. I figured what would have been close to the original deal... and made that offer. I agreed to update my review based upon the dealership making it right, not an extortion. I believe in the integrity of reviews and would only update according to the follow-up. In the end I ended up with a car with body damage still and a deal worse than the original. The body shop contracted by this dealer has tried to fix the damage twice and has still failed to do so. I don't have the time to keep coming back and will just end up paying a reputable shop to handle it and be done with it. In the end we were on the losing end. A car that will cost more in the long-run, multiple unkept promises, a car that is still damaged, a car that had so much compound used that the clear coat is less than half of where it started, and more. Trading in my other cars I wanted a LOCAL dealer I could go to for service. I didn't want to drive to Modesto or Sacramento, etc. for service. Now I'll end up driving to Elk Grove or Tracy Toyota for service. Again, a loss.
