Dan and Devorah were absolutely EXCELLENT to work with. Dan explained the vehicle to me and was very thorough in helping me understand my options for purchasing either a new or used car. Devorah worked wi Dan explained the vehicle to me and was very thorough in helping me understand my options for purchasing either a new or used car. Devorah worked with my financial situation to ensure I got the best financing available and went the extra mile to help make it work. Even after I purchased my new 2010 Corolla, Dan has been very prompt answering emails to ensure I get the BEST customer service each and every time I have a question or concern. I would recommend both of these people to anyone interested in a new Toyota! Thank you! More
I'm really unsatisfied and dissappointed of the service received from this Toyota dealer. The sales person was only helpful the time of purchasing the vehicle after signing the contract, didnt really seam received from this Toyota dealer. The sales person was only helpful the time of purchasing the vehicle after signing the contract, didnt really seam interest in helping us on getting what we needed checked /repaired on the vehicle anymore. Also, need repair on one of my other Toyota vehicles due to a licking windshield...still waiting for an answer. They dont really seam to know what they're doing, really unorganized. I set up an appointment (1/15) and was told that a new windshield will be ordered...now 1/21 I called to check the status and now, I'm told that it will only be sealed! When that could have been done on my first appointment! Still calling an unable to speak to a manager. More
Hello Guys, First I like to say that this is the first Hello Guys, First I like to say that this is the first time I write a review on product I bought. I travel a lot and I buy stuff on regular basis l Hello Guys, First I like to say that this is the first time I write a review on product I bought. I travel a lot and I buy stuff on regular basis like all of you there. Many times in the past I visited good restaurants and/or had nice experience with a seller but always was too busy/lazy to put the 5 minutes of writing. So, there you go, you’re reading my first review ever!!! The reason I do that is because I purchased in Dec 2010 Toyota Tundra from Santa Monica dealership and I’m very much liked the way I was served. I drove a Ridgeline for 3 years, great car! Before visiting Toyota I went to Honda (2 dealers), GM, Dodge. I really hate going to these dealers, they trick you all the time with the numbers, they say something and then come with something else, and they act like it was a bazaar and you buying a carpet. I know finance (post graduate with finance) so I know how to calculate PMT APR and all that B.S. what I’m trying to say here is that it’s hard to trick me with the numbers. I visited Toyota web site like many others for a month (Dec.) , I sent them a message and immediately got respond. We had a short phone conversation that I was explaining him (Jim Coyel) what I need. We schedule to meet in 2 days. I met a decent man. Not the typical dealer sales men. He asked some questions, filled up form and went to check up the price. Only after I agree to take the deal he ran the credit score. He said nice thing like:” I know that if I give you the right price we have a deal here, so let’s work on that and only after I’ll ran your credit” For me its very important because the other dealers I visited and not only this time but also years ago ran your credit and then start to negotiate with their stupid games, come and go dozens times playing with you. In the end I got a Tundra 2011 double cab, with a great price! 60 M finance 0% interest rate! For the first time I had nice dealership experience , for the first time I give you my review. Riban More

The dealership required a full credit report even though this was a cash transaction and the money was received several days before. They claimed this was a California DMV ruling and not a Toyota Santa Monica policy. Sven Sjodin, Sales Manager threatened to cancel the sale if I was not satisfied with their business practices! I reluctantly agreed. Subsequent calls to the DMV could not validate the credit check policy for cash transactions. A complaint has been filed. I have had many new cars and managed fleets for two sales organizations and this was by far my worst experience. More
We had a very good experience in purchasing our new 2010 Highlander. We had difficulty finding the car we wanted because we needed a 4-wheel for our mountain vacation home. Diana was extremely helpful in Highlander. We had difficulty finding the car we wanted because we needed a 4-wheel for our mountain vacation home. Diana was extremely helpful in locating the car we wanted and tracking it until it arrived at the dealership. We were able to work out an acceptable price with no haggling and we have had no regrets regarding out purchase. We would definitely recommend this dealership and, specifically, our salesperson, Diana. More
Recently received an email from the sales associate regarding the purchase and I was startled that it states, "Hopefully, I have lived up to my promise which was to deliver you with a simple, honest, a regarding the purchase and I was startled that it states, "Hopefully, I have lived up to my promise which was to deliver you with a simple, honest, and hassle free vehicle purchase experience." My experience was far from simple and I don't feel they were being as honest as possible. Sales person was rather arrogant and condescending. When I was exploring my options for financing with him, he stated that I could 'borrow the money from my mother, if I'd like.' As a school district administrative professional, and Latino, I was highly insulted by his comment. I strongly feel that if I had been Caucasian, he would not have made such comment. I don't feel they were as honest as possible as they financed me for 7.25%, which was apparently the 'BEST' they could do. I have good credit and know that was not the best. I financed with my credit union for 3.25%. As any other working individual, I too am looking for the best possible deal, especially during this very difficult time of financial crisis in our country. I am, and many others can attest, a very calm and non-abrasive person who normally settles when there is a win-win situation. My goal is to get the car out the door for the sticker price. I believe that is rather fair. The sales person seemed to become extremely frustrated. I had to return the car a few days later because they had agreed to do some body work and also fix the interior, because it was a used car. When I returned the car a few days later, I pointed out one more detail on the body that we had not identified the day of purchase, when it was already dark. He said he would let them know. When I pick up the car, that dent was not fixed and he gave a poor excuse that his 'manager' said they would not fix because they had not identified it when I initially purchased it. I purchased my vehicle in July. I contacted the dealer in November and spoke to the person in charge of handling the DMV paperwork. I explained that I had not received my new plates or tags and that I had visited the DMV personally and they said that they (dealer) had just recently, sometime in November (can't remember actual date), attempted to process the new plates. She looked into it and said that it was sent back because the car had 'personalized plates,' which was just an excuse to me. I asked why it took so long and that I was worried because I was driving a used car with no plates. I was afraid to be pulled over. She abrasively stated, "well then, why didn't you call us?". Hence, my call to her. My feeling is that I shouldn't be supervising their work to make sure it is completed. That should be the dealer responsibility. During the same call, I told her I asked questions regarding the Maintenance package that I had purchased. She said she didn't now about it and to call the Used car manager. Perfect, I called him and, puzzled, said "I don't know about that. You'll need to call the finance manager." I called the finance manager several times. They were apparently, according to the receptionist who always stated without hesitation, they are with a customer. I left several messages and to this date I've received NO call back. I do have to say though that when I took my car in for a repair on two occasions, the used car sales manager, named Mickey, was very pleasant. The service gentlemen were also very pleasant and extremely helpful. Unfortunately, I will not be returning for any repair. Carly, the finance manager, was also very pleasant. Much to my surprise, she is no longer working at the dealer. My regret is actually giving them my money. Had I not been the type of person that once I know what I want, I work to get it, I would have left the dealer. More

I signed the lease for my new Prius the next day and still couldn't be happier with what I am paying. Stuart and Richard were both available any time I called and/or email (which I did, numerous times). I went through so many stereotypical slimey car salesman and different dealerships, even other Toyota dealerships, and this experience has made me a believer. If I don't end up getting another Prius by the time my lease is up, it is only because I can afford a Lexus :) All thanks to the efforts made by Stuart with the pricing and negotiation as well as Richard, who took care of me in the office. Jim was very friendly, informative, and always seemed concerned about my expectations in purchasing a new car. I consulted four local Toyota dealerships before deciding that Santa Monica had the friendliest, most reasonable, and least "pushy" staff. Jim was the only salesman to offer me a really competitive price on the exact car that I wanted. At no point was I hassled or troubled into settling for something other than what I had in mind. Jim kept the transaction about ME and meeting MY needs. In addition, we had fun! This is what car buying should be all about. From first stepping foot onto the lot, to driving away in my new car, I was overly impressed by how well I was treated at this dealership. In the end, I got my car at an excellent price and Jim made his sale. Everyone went home happy. Best, Garret More
