Hello, I would like to write a review for Toyota of Santa Monica. I could not have been more impressed with my salesman or the sales manager, Bob. I bought my car in February. I would have written a review sooner but I was only recently informed of this website. Let me tell you a little bit about what I went through in buying my new car. I had been to ten places. I kid you not. And that 10 may have been on the light side. I was looking high and low. But car salesman are creepy. I always always always feel like I"m going to get ripped off. Funny, now that I think about it, I was leaving Toyota when Chillie told me something that got me to stay. He told me that his incentive base package was not based on how much money I spent on a car. He didn't know my price range yet because I hadn't told him. He told me he didn't care if I was looking for a 5000 dollar car or a 50,000 dollar car. He was going to find me a car because he was incentivized by moving cars, or units as he said. Okay so I stayed and looked around with him. Then, we found a car and went on a test drive. But, on the test drive all I could think about was the price. I do NOT want to pay retail. When we get back I don't want them to know that I like it, but I do. I love it! I go in to negotiate! I have one thing in mind, I do not want to pay retail. I sit down with Chillie to talk price. I tell him I think the price of the car is too high. He tells me that he's gonna go talk to Bob and get the price reduced. He does it. 1000 dollars off. Bob comes over and shakes my hand and tells me we got a deal. Next, we go down to finance. But this whole car experience of negotiating has taken a couple of hours. I'm hungry. Chillie buys me lunch on the way to finance. What a tasty lunch. I ate it before we even saw the finance manager. Which made that part way easier. Chillie told me it was going to take a little while and I would be faced with some more choices about my car in finance and that if I was hungry now that I should eat. Touch of class to throw in lunch. The paperwork took an hour. The warranty and the lowjack and the gap all had to be explained. I cannot remember the finance managers name. But, it was easy and I negotiated there as well. I will probably buy my next car there. I would work with Chillie or Bob again. More

I just moved to LA for a new job and had been shopping around for a pre-owned car. He was extremely helpful in answering all the questions about used cars and was very personable. The ONLY reason I returned the store and bought my 2009 Toyota Corolla was because of him. For consumers like me who don't really have enough money to buy a new car but still want to get a good-quality pre-owned, it's very important that the sales person provides me a sense of security - I need to know that I can call my dealer anytime if I have ANY question about the car AFTER making the purchase. Josh did a great job and has been always very helpful before and after I bought the car. He is great. I will definitely recommend others to come to this location. More
I had brought my Toyota over from Hawaii about a year and a half ago and had taken it to the Toyota dealership in Culver City. They service was so bad there that I didn't want to take it to any Toyota anymor a half ago and had taken it to the Toyota dealership in Culver City. I was taking my car to random bodyshops when there was a strange fluid coming from the bottom of my car and one bodyshop said it was my radiator and another said it was engine oil...I was freaked out and called my sister (She's been a longtime Lexus customer) and she made me tow my car from North Hollywood to Toyota Santa Monica. There I met Alex. The service was night and day from what I got from Culver City. He got me in and out of there quickly, got me a loaner and all my overdue services done. HE'S AMAZING which is why I will always make a trip from North Hollywood to Santa Monica to get my service done with him. If anyone needs service done I would recommend making an appointment with him! More
We drove over 100 miles to get to Santa Monica Toyota because this dealer had every color combination, exterior and interior, of 2011 Prius in stock. We wanted to see the colors on the car and not just look at a picture in a brochure, before deciding which color combination to buy. Jordan MacLoed, the sales representative, was extremely helpful and patient, answering every question and giving us as much time as we wanted, with no pressure, to contemplate the cars, colors and options. When we decided which color combination we wanted and which option level of Prius we wanted, we made an offer that we felt was fair to us and to the dealer. Our offer was accepted. I mention this because we had made a similar offer to another dealer the day before, and our offer was turned down. Devorah Camuso, Finance Manager, handled the paperwork and financial arrangements very professionally and efficiently. She explained various options for extended service agreements and additional options for the car thoroughly and without putting pressure on us to buy things we felt we did not need. We appreciated her friendly helpful approach. The car we selected was prepared for us quickly and completely. We were able to drive it home that day. Overall, our experience at Toyota Santa Monica was outstanding. We highly recommend them to anyone seeking to buy a new Toyota, especially a hybrid model. You will not find a greater selection or better people to work with anywhere else. More

Chille said to me, "Stop looking. Ill call you when I find your car." ... I had been SO frustrated because car dealers are full of xxxx. I trusted Chille. I told Chile that when we met. He was And, yes! You're right, I am just sitting around with the family, bored! Yes, I'll write a review. I have had many bad experiences in dealing with car dealers. They are the worst. If you give them your phone number they never stop calling you, if you give them your email address they'll never stop emailing you! Ugh! So, when I was contacted by the dealership AFTER I had already bought my car and they asked me to rate my experience on Easter Sunday. Oddly enough, I'm in! I was stuck between the 06 Prius and the 08 Prius. Chile said to me, "What's the difference? The mileage is the same on both cars. The body style is the same and you will save 1,000 dollars in the price difference on the 06." Chile talked me OUT of spending an additional 1,000 dollars. Who does that? What dealer does that? I hope I don't get him in trouble. But, Chile talked me out of the more expensive car. It made sense. They were practically identical in mileage and I liked the 06 color a little bit better. And, it's a Prius so I know it's the amount of miles on the car that really matters most, not the year. It's still under warranty until 2013, so why would I want to spend a 1,000 dollars more? I didn't want to and I didn't. I got the 06. Chile, you are a star. This guy is great with people. Trust me, I'm a xxxxx & everybody knows that. It's obvious. I don't think Toyota will be able to keep this guy. My uncle works in the mortgage business and went in a bought a Scion XB from Chile. I know he has offered him a job. Chile, go work for my uncle!
