We first talked with Mark Lewis on the phone. We needed a new 12volt battery for our Camry Hybrid 2007. Had to leave the car overnight, and was given a nice new free rental. Danielle called us early the next morning to say our Camry Hybrid was ready with fresh free car wash!! Mark and Danielle were professional, informative, and friendly as well as other staff (valet). The face of Toyota Santa Monica is the service from dedicated staff members. We live in the SF Bay Area and we're so impressed with the service we received at SM Toyota. The service is superb!!! He already knew what the issue was with my car, listened carefully to my concerns, and spoke with me at length about my repair options. He even washed my car while I was trying to decide what to do about the car repairs! Finally, Manny Ruiz was super friendly, incredibly helpful in getting competitive pricing for my service, and ensuring that my parts were ordered promptly. I also was quite impressed with Julio and Rebecca, who were positive, friendly, and very helpful. Manny Hernandez, Manny Ruiz, and Alex provided the best customer service I've every experienced at a mechanic. They went above and beyond to make sure that I received excellent service and a competitive price. They've made me a loyal Toyota of Santa Monica customer- because of them, I'll come back to Toyota for all of my service needs, and, because of them, I'll most likely purchase my next Toyota at your dealership. I have owned a Toyota vehicle since the year 1999 and decided to hand down my Forerunner to my son and invest in a new Toyota Sequoia. I called John to help me with the process of buying a new car. I knew exactly what I wanted--color, style, etc. and John took care of every detail in finding the vehicle of my choice, especially with me in Little Rock, Ark and him in Santa Monica, CA. His salemanship, knowledge and efficiency were excellent. I am very pleased with my Sequoia and will be sure and call John again in the future. More
I was lied to about the deal I made with the salesman. He agreed to take my old lease "as is" and I would lease a new car. No money out of pocket, I drive off in a new lease-- end of story. 5 months lat He agreed to take my old lease "as is" and I would lease a new car. I spoke to 3 different managers at the dealership and they all gave me the run-around. I will never purchase/lease another Toyota product for the rest of my life, nor will anyone in my family/close friends. Way to lose loyal customers over $578. Have you seen your ratings on sites like yelp or citysearch? They are pathetic, and now I know why. More
I started at Toyota, then went to see the Scion and ran into Steve. He was interested, funny and spoke the language of my peers (I'm 62 and semi-retired) Also, he said they just give a price and no playing into Steve. I then worked with Inez and Stuart and met other members of the their Internet team. All helpful and friendly, and workin together as a team (i know that they dont build the car nor repair it, but if they were confident of the product and had been there awhile...it enhances my expectations of the product- coming from a 30+ yr owner of Hondas, this was important)Stuart gave me my test drive and responded to my joke about a parking ticket by taking $$ off the price. Steve was there through the final paperwork and final car inspection/explanations. Kristen did the $$ and additonal (LoJack and 3 more years of maintenance) options, with great efficiency, and again gave me a $100 off when i got my arithmetice goofed up. I have already experienced the repair side of the house (which better be good, i've got the free 2 years, plus the 3 i bought), for the LoJack installation. They made room for me in the schedule, without my asking or insisting and it was done in the time they said. So far, real happy. More
The sales representatives are really friendly and aren't pushy at all. Every employee is great, from the sales reps, to the managers, and down to the financing.
