Outstanding I submitted my vehicle request online to five dealerships. Heard back from four of the five dealerships, Bellingham being one of them and Marcy was my I submitted my vehicle request online to five dealerships. Heard back from four of the five dealerships, Bellingham being one of them and Marcy was my point of contact. After discussing online my requirements, I made the hour drive North to test drive the Tacoma with manual transmission since I was coming from a 4Runner with an automatic. Marcy was very professional when I met her but also talked to me like a human and not a robot reading script which I appreciate. I had no intentions of purchasing a vehicle that day, we talked numbers and made an agreement on my trade. There was one vehicle in the region that met my requirements and price but when Toyota of Bellingham went to transfer the vehicle the dealership in Oregon had made a bunch of over priced mods leaving me no vehicle after a couple hours at the dealership. So we went with having one being made by Toyota, this was on 10DEC2017 and the Tacoma arrived in Bellingham on 09JAN2018. I made the drive North again with my 4Runner and met Marcy to finalize the deal. Everything went smooth and communication was excellent. I was sent to finance to work with Kirsten and that was actually a highly positive experience as well. She spoke to me as a human and not someone just going through the process, she answered any questions I had in a professional manner but almost made me feel comftable as I sat there with her sense of humor. Once finance was done Marcy showed me all the gadgets inside the Tacoma and answered my questions. This was a highly positive experience and I couldn’t be happier. More
Toyota of Bellingham I would of rated this dealership a 5 and I’ll explain why I gave it a 4. Now for the record the staff are completely accommodating and respectful and I would of rated this dealership a 5 and I’ll explain why I gave it a 4. Now for the record the staff are completely accommodating and respectful and did everything they could to help me get into my Newer Tundra. First off I blame 100% this issue on me but I would of expected Toyota to verify. Again I say this back in my head and I blame me but I’ll explain. I got shown a “2014 5.7L Tundra SR5 TRD off-road” which i test drove. Fell in love with it and made the moves to purchase. After almost two days of negotiations i was sold. I came in to sign the paper work and as we started i noticed the paper work had “2015” Tundra V8 SR5 TRD” i mentioned that it said it was a 2015 not a 2014. Immediately I’m like sweet it’s even newer. The sales memebers started to scramble to make sure the VIN was correct and confirmed it was the correct truck and then confirmed it was a 2015. We fly through the paperwork (my fault here) and we walk out the door with a new to us truck. The next day as I’m going through the paper work to set up my insurance in the corner of my eye i see 2015 Tundra 4.6L V8 SR5 TRD. “4.6L”. Mind you out of all the paperwork is was the only one that says it’s a 4.6L. I immediately said no way and run out to my truck to look at the badges and realized the trucks engine badge was removed by the previous owner, which i think looks cleaner. So i pop open the hood and bam, like a sack of bricks i see the 4.6L on the engine cover. Now for those of you that said wait you didnt open the engine hood And didn’t notice there again is another reason I blame myself as well. But then again the truck was marked as a 2014, it was told to me it was a 5.7L when i test drove it, which could of been a honest mistake on their part and unfortunately i didn’t catch it. Other then this they really helped out to get this truck to a reasonable price which I give the service a 4 Star More
