He stayed in touch with me often since I began the purchase from another state. His personal attention to me and every detail was outstanding. He has phoned to follow up and give me advice on my new Prius. I feel that I have a relationship with Toyota of Marin now and will definitely recommend them and Hoji. Sue Bolea More
Our experience started online, we were expertly handled by Ritsa, and drove over 300 miles to have the best care and service possible. Ritsa should be the training model for all sales managers...in fact, s by Ritsa, and drove over 300 miles to have the best care and service possible. Ritsa should be the training model for all sales managers...in fact, she would be my overall manager, if I owned the dealership. All customers should be handled in the manner that we were, and all sales staff should know how Ritsa does her job. The dealership is still 'old school', providing both great used 'trade-ins' to customers and new cars as well. This model proves why the dealership sells so many cars. The staff was very nice and informed. Ritsa's overall knowledge of cars was on par with almost any person (male or female) that I have ever met in the car business. Thanks for the best care, now give her a well-deserved raise!!! More
Drove all the way from Truckee to buy my Sequoia from Toyota Marin because I was treated so poorly at Reno Toyota (and Reno couldn't compete with the price) - See Reno Toyota review. Toyota Marin was Toyota Marin because I was treated so poorly at Reno Toyota (and Reno couldn't compete with the price) - See Reno Toyota review. Toyota Marin was amazingly easy to work with and the experience was straightforward, no hassle, no shady tactics. Paula Londow is a gem in the car sales world. She sent me all the details in writing on email prior to me driving 3+ hours to pick up the car, everything was cut and dry, no surprises. I believe that Paula genuinely cares about what she does and the people she sells cars to. I have recommended her to several people already. She was available to me on her cell on her days off, she respected my time and earned my trust. Paula has followed up with me several times to make sure I am happy and that everything is ok and I just bought the car a week ago. She is a true professional. It is 100% worth traveling to this dealership to be treated well and taken care of. More
Definitely worth the 4 hour drive from Redding! Prices were the most competitive after searching online. Weren't looking to trade-in our vehicle, but the trade-in offer was generous enough that we decided were the most competitive after searching online. I just bought my first car from Toyota Marin. I was really nervous about it - buying a car is not my area of expertise, and this was a huge financial investment for me. The service I received at Toyo really nervous about it - buying a car is not my area of expertise, and this was a huge financial investment for me. The service I received at Toyota Marin (I worked primarily with Salesman Victor Duru, but also with Jay (the Sales Manager) and Keith (Finance Manager)) was excellent. Victor was patient with my questions (I didn't know S meant "sport" so you can imagine what other ridiculous questions I asked about both the cars and the financing), and he helped me find a car that is perfect for me. I had looked at a few other places, but nowhere did I receive the attentive customer service that I did at Toyota Marin. I have had my car for about five days now, and I love it - it really is the perfect car for me. They've also called me to check in and see if I have any questions or needs, which I appreciate. I would recommend this car dealership to anyone looking for great service and good prices. More
I had a very specific specific need, and Victor and the good folks at Toyota Marin hooked me up with the perfect vehicle. The no-haggle price was well-below KBB-dealer price. One sticky point was that I good folks at Toyota Marin hooked me up with the perfect vehicle. The no-haggle price was well-below KBB-dealer price. One sticky point was that I needed USB/iPod/bluetooth. Toyota Marin found a nearby dealer to install a good, no-frills, removable faceplate system for me. More
I saw a truck online and called Toyota of Marin. Ritsa Kastoras was who I spoke with and my experience couldn't have been better. She was very professional, straight forward and easy to deal with. I have Kastoras was who I spoke with and my experience couldn't have been better. She was very professional, straight forward and easy to deal with. I have bought cars from dealerships before. They are often too pushy and make it difficult to find what you want. This was not my experience at Toyota Marin. I had to trade in my previous truck and Jay Brownrigg was the one who made it happen. with gas prices going up I was having a lot of trouble trying to sell my 3/4 ton truck. Jay was able to give me a price that i was happy with and that would allow me to get into something smaller. He was honest, straight forward and worked with me on reaching a deal that worked. he spent over an hour with other dealerships trying to find the best price for my truck. I have never owned a Toyota before and I had never really considered buying one. However, after my experience with Toyota of Marin I can confidently say that they will at the top of my list. More
I found Toyota Marin through a listing on autotrader.com, I found a vehicle at a price and mileage I literally could not believe. I thought it was too good to be true, but I figured I had nothing to lose by I found a vehicle at a price and mileage I literally could not believe. I thought it was too good to be true, but I figured I had nothing to lose by going over and checking it out. Enter, Victor Duru. On first meeting Mr. Duru I was greeted with a friendly smile and a handshake, he took me over to the car, answered all my questions, let me inspect the vehicle at my leisure and accompanied me on a test drive. Mr. Duru was my first point of contact in person, with this dealership and I remember thinking to myself. "If everyone here is as open, honest and just plain cool as Victor. This is going to be alright." And it was. My entire experience was pleasant, informative and NO PRESSURE WHATSOEVER. I literally felt like I was dealing with a group a friends that had my best interest in mind. Victor started my experience off on the right foot, and everyone else I met along the way that day lived up to the high standard Mr. Duru set. After I had pretty much decided on buying the vehicle I came to see, I was asked if I wanted to trade in my current car. I was, but I didn't think I'd get much value out of it so I had left it at home. So, I went back home, picked my old car up and took it back to the dealership to see what they would offer me. Enter Lana Abukweik I spoke to Lana on the phone prior to driving up to Toyota Marin initially. She was just like Victor. Friendly, informative, fun and a NO PRESSURE approach. After returning with my trade in vehicle, Victor was helping another customer that had arrived while I went to get my car, so his partner Lana was there to help me with the rest of the process. She talked me through everything I had to do to buy the new vehicle and trade in my old one. She answered every question I had and directed me over to a consultant named Matt Shone. Mr. Shone is an awesome guy. If you are looking to trade or sell a car, regardless of whether you purchase from Toyota Marin, you want to see Matt Shone. He followed up on some of the questions Ms. Abukweik asked me about my trade in vehicle, and then we went on a test drive so Mr. Shone could get an idea of the running condition of my trade in vehicle. I told Matt about my history with the car, some of my concerns, why I was trading it in etc. At the conclusion of the short drive, I fully expected to be offered very little for the vehicle. Mr. Shone offered me three times what I thought I would get for that car. The incredible thing about that, aside from the obvious, is that I spoke openly with Victor and Matt about what I expected for the car. I was looking for a new car for a reason, and after hearing ALL of that, they STILL exceeded my expectation when it came to the trade in value of my old car. Think about that. They, for all intents and purposes KNEW what I would accept, and what I expected for my old car. And instead of doing what we'd ALL expect a dealership to do, and offer that bare minimum. They offered me what THEY thought was fair. That in itself, it incredible. They didn't give me a great deal because they thought it would seal the deal on the car I was buying, because frankly, the car I bought was NOT going to bring any real profit to that dealership, it was someone elses trade in. It's not like I went in there and purchased a 20,000 car with a huge built in profit or anything like that. They gave me what THEY thought was fair, and what THEY thought was fair was three times what they knew I would accept it for. If you are looking for integrity and honesty...you WILL NOT find any dealership more qualified to meet that criteria than Toyota Marin. After I had my trade in value for my old car, I shook Mr. Shone's hand and I followed Lana to the finance department where Cathie Badger helped me complete the deal. Ms. Badger was a pleasure to work with, in what is probably the "least" pleasant part of buying a car (the paying part) she helped make this happen for me. I won't go into details, but Ms. Badger MADE SURE that I left that dealership with that car. She didn't HAVE to do what she did, but she made it happen. Victor Duru, Lana Abukweik, Matt Shone and Cathie Badger Those were the people that I met when I bought my car 2 days ago, and I could not have asked for more competent, fair and friendly people. Thank you. When I was looking over the car I eventually purchased, I mentioned to Victor that I was planning on buying a new Toyota Yaris in a couple of years, and that this was the vehicle I would use in the mean time while I saved up enough money to buy the Yaris outright. At the time I said that, I had no idea WHERE I'd go to buy that Yaris, I just knew it would be "someday." Now I KNOW...when that day comes, and I have enough money to get that NEW car. I'll go back to Toyota Marin in San Rafael, I'll ask for Victor and I'll see what that Yaris is all about. I hope this review helps someone else like me, that went into this all on the spur of the moment and based almost solely on the reviews I read online about Toyota Marin. Take care everyone! We just moved from the UK to the US and needed to buy a reliable family used car without spending too much money. We'd heard good things about Toyota Marin from two sets of friends who'd both purchased us reliable family used car without spending too much money. We'd heard good things about Toyota Marin from two sets of friends who'd both purchased used cars from there. When we arrived, we did have to wait a bit before meeting our sales representative, Victor. But after that there was no looking back. Victor was very helpful and knowledgeable, and the clear marking of prices, warranty made it very straightforward to quickly identify the vehicles that met our needs and budget. A quick test drive later, and we were done. Even after the sale had been made, all of the staff at Toyota Marin were very helpful, including, as always, Victor. Victor even came in on his day off to make sure everything was organized for when we picked up the car the next day! What could have been a stressful experience turned out to be relaxed, pain free and speedy (despite the paper work). We're very happy with our purchase and would happily recommend Toyota Marin to anyone -- Five starts, guys! More
Victor Duru was very friendly and helpful. He is very down to earth and real. Even as a newer dealer, he knew how to make customers comfortable. He always considered my needs and preferences.
