Our Prius (purchased at another dealer in 2009) had a rare (?) serious electronic problem. Under dash console wiring harness (?). This caused the car to not be able to shut the engine off. Lex Sincl rare (?) serious electronic problem. Under dash console wiring harness (?). This caused the car to not be able to shut the engine off. Lex Sinclaire and team diagnosted quickly and sent me on my way with a comp rental car; a brand new Prius. Lex knew in would take several weeks for the necessary part to come in. Kept car for 6 weeks until it came in. No charge. Since every European car that I've owned eventually had some serious intermittent electrical problem, I'm very sensitive to this issue. The follow up and professionalism of Toyota Marin and the Corporate "extended warrantee" on this issue made me a Toyota fan for life. Yes, I will likely buy a new car soon and odds are 98% that it will be a Toyota from Toyota Marin. Thanks, Dave W. More
At our scheduked meeting time, Ryan was prompt, up front with the price and got me the car that I wanted. He did not try to talk me into anything that i didn't need or want and although i am not a frequent with the price and got me the car that I wanted. He did not try to talk me into anything that i didn't need or want and although i am not a frequent car buyer, he made it a pleasant experience which I will share with family and friends. I also met with Keith who test drove the car i was trading in. He was cordial and professional, and i was satisfied with the price that he offered for my trade in. More
I always have my car serviced at Toyota of Marin. Not only is it a great location, but the staff is friendly and professional. I especially recommend Jason Clark. He arranged the shuttle to drop me off only is it a great location, but the staff is friendly and professional. I especially recommend Jason Clark. He arranged the shuttle to drop me off at work and pick me up when my car was ready. Jason not only made sure that my car was in good condition and had it washed after service, but went the extra mile for me by having the car vacuumed. My car was very clean when I drove home from service; I was impressed! More

My mother had an appointment with Ainsworth Leslie to check out a used car at the Marin Toyota Dealership, but when the time rolled around for the appointment, she was notified by Ainsworth that the car check out a used car at the Marin Toyota Dealership, but when the time rolled around for the appointment, she was notified by Ainsworth that the car wasn't ready for viewing, but he conveniently had a personal car he was trying to get rid of. Long story short, Ainsworth Leslie used his position to manipulate my mother into thinking his old 1998 Volkswagon Passat was a good car, and sold it to her for just under $4,000. The first day I drove it the plastic bottom fell off, and my mother contacted Ainsworth (conveniently, suspiciously via text, as he requested), and he did arrange for it to be bolted back to the car for free. If the bottom had fallen off on the freeway (I was on a 25 mph road, and THAT was scary enough), it surely could have caused a life-threatening accident. After the bottom was bolted back on, within two weeks, it was clear I needed to take the groaning, aching, creaking car to a mechanic, who was so astounded by the abundance of cheap Chinese parts in the car that he nearly seemed insulted. (You know how mechanics are). My mechanic told me and my mother that he had considered telling us the car was simply totaled, as the wear and tear from cheap parts put the value of the car somewhere just above the cost of the repairs- $2,000. Considering Ainsworth Leslie works around cars for a living, I find it hard to believe he wasn't aware of them, ahem, condition of this car. I also find it hard to believe that if Toyota had known he was using work hours and an appointment time allotted for another car to try to sell his personal piece of crap to an unsuspecting woman, this never would have happened. He stressed vehemently to my mother that she was buying it through him, not Toyota, but that just makes it all the more suspicious, considering my mother bought it AT the Marin Toyota Dealership, during a time allotted for a SPECIFIC USED CAR THE DEALERSHIP WAS SELLING. Let it be known that Ainsworth Leslie did something unethical, unprofessional, and just downright uncool. The car has not only put me danger in the past, but caused my mother financial hardship- I mean, the guy jacked the price up by two grand! My mother is a single mother raising another daughter, and I am a full-time college student. This has caused us a lot of stress- AND CASH. Beware- it seems Ainsworth Leslie will do ANYTHING to get off a car. More
Buying a car? Value and service at the top of your list? Then GO DIRECTLY TO TOYOTA MARIN!! If your stock options hit paydirt, go anyway, invest the savings and rent the Ferrari!! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEI Then GO DIRECTLY TO TOYOTA MARIN!! If your stock options hit paydirt, go anyway, invest the savings and rent the Ferrari!! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEIR EXCELLENT AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF HIGHLY ENOUGH!! I am a sole proprietor, first time new car buyer, looking for value in a mid-sized sedan for business and personal use, Emad Burjaq in sales introduced a new 2012 Camry hybrid LE, his sales manger Ainsworth Leslie patiently explained leasing, economic investment of premium for hybrid gas savings and higher residual at lease end, my friend and business partner who'd leased several cars reviewed all, after a small deposit returned the next day with old Jaguar trade-in, Tyler Toler drove the car with me along to answer questions, I received a fair trade-in offer compared with those of other dealers and Edmunds research, signed the lease agreement with business manager Kathy Badger, who in great detail went over numbers, payment, insurance, options and my many questions. This is a big investment for me, Emad, Ainsworth, Tyler and Kathy all extremely professional, up front disclosure of bumper damage to the car on the lot, printed all detail and records for the work done, for my files and for when I either return the car and the end of the term, or decide to purchase. I returned the following day for hour discussion about the car, driving and ownership recommendations with Dan Wight in Service, will return later for paint and upholstery protection option. Emad called two days later, for any questions or concerns I might have. I called the business office a day after, for further questions on lease vs purchase. Mileage as described so far, driven less than 1,000 miles and over 40 MPG mostly freeway, better than mid 30's MPG 2013 non-hybrid Sonata rented for round trip to San Diego, both from trip odometers. All staff OUTSTANDING with details, facts, response, accessibility, patience. Not once did I feel pressured, got an offer I couldn't refuse! My thanks to all! More

When we bought our car in 2007, the salesman tried to talk us into buying insurance on the cars' electronics, because "that was build to break down after a few years". Only the clock kicked the bucket, t talk us into buying insurance on the cars' electronics, because "that was build to break down after a few years". Only the clock kicked the bucket, the rest still works. With other parts of the cr, we were less lucky. After <50K miles, we needed a new transmission. About 1.5 y after installing the new transmission, we noticed a clanking sound that got louder and louder over the years, with repeated visits at a Toyota repair shop (then in another state, where we moved), where they found nothing initially. However, after the third visit, it turned out that the flex plate was cracked, due to a misalignment, resulting from a missing line up pin that apparently was forgotten when switching out the transmission. Regarding the pricing for repairs, all I can say is that Toyota Marin charges the double amount of money what competing garages would charge, even for trivial jobs such as light bulb change or oil change, let alone the bigger repair jobs. To us, Toyota Marin is a synonym for 'disappointment'. More
Kip Miles, shame on you for being such a corporate tool. You give used car salesman a bad name. As acting floor manager, you should be able to resolve minor situations and make a minor effort to make the You give used car salesman a bad name. As acting floor manager, you should be able to resolve minor situations and make a minor effort to make the customer happy. After signing the papers for a 2010 Corolla from your dealership, you hand over the ONE key over to me and say " You can make copies at the service center across the street." We come to find out that a spare key will run $371, and needless to say we are not happy. Enter Kip Miles... I wasn't inteanding to return our new sedan over a spare key. But after a brief interaction with Kip over the phone, It almost sounded as if Kip Miles was daring me to return the car. He was like you bought the car, you signed the papers... We didn't disclose the key would be $371 because then Toyota would have to raise the price on the vehicle. I can overhear him talking about how they screwed some lady with a Prius the same way in the not to distant past. He tells me he spoke with his boss Mike Christian, and that he can't help me. I mention that I called Mr. Christain also and they told me he hasn't returned my call. He later pulls a Romney and says " Well, I didn't actually SPEAK WITH HIM, but I'm sure he would agree with me. " I called over to Toyota Novato before meting with KIp and they mention that they will cut and program a new key for me for $240. So I mention this to Kip Miles and ask him if they will find a compromise in the price of the key, and basically he tells me to return the car because he can't think of any resolve to this situation. I give him some options, like price matching or telling his man Miguel to pull out an old key from his service desk and letting us pay for just the programing.....nothing Well Kip, the price of the car should include two keys and a floor manager should have some kind of heart. If you want to read more about Kip's hypocritical bull you can google him and read his blog. I especially like the piece about transperency, accurate pricing and a well managed dealership. If you ever decide to leave the car sales industry you have a future in politics my amigo. More
I just got a Prius c four! This is my second car from Toyota Marin with amazing help from Mr. Gian Voglino. Since I wanted to learn more about car buying this time, I decided to do all the process b Toyota Marin with amazing help from Mr. Gian Voglino. Since I wanted to learn more about car buying this time, I decided to do all the process by myself. My friends helped me to research cars and to understand some basics, but completing a big transaction really made me think about so many details about car mechanics, maintenance and financing. Thanks to the wonderful staff in Toyota Marin, especially Gian and Bob, I learned a lot this time. It is not easy to find a car sales consultant who is truly supportive for a young woman to buy a car alone. Since Gian helped me to find my beautiful Yaris three years ago and I have loved that car, I went to back to Gian to get help again. I had a vague idea to buys a little Prius, but wasn't sure about the difference in each option. Gian is very patient, knowledgeable, honest, understanding and supportive. He is also culturally sensitive and respectful (fluent in Spanish too). I could spend enough time to make decisions on my new car without feeling rushed or pushed. He went over almost all the details of Prius, twice. He explained each paper work in detail, answered all my questions about cars and finances, and made sure if I understood all his explanations. Those questions took at least six hours total (I went to Toyota Marin five times). He accommodated my pickiness of color and was also amazingly forbearing with my indecisiveness. Furthermore, after all the transaction was done, Gian spent two hours on helping me set up the basics and making sure that I understood how to operate Prius and that I would drive safe home. This tutoring really made a difference. This was another thoughtful service of Gian and another reason to ask this Italian gentleman to be your car sales consultant. Many car sales people simply focus on selling cars, but Gian can see how a new car would affect other aspects of his client's life. He is naturally a people person (he has a lot of interesting stories), but also put extra efforts to get know his clients so he can offer more assistance. He truly cares about his clients and helps them to find cars that make them happy. So once again, thank you Gian! I also would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Taylor Toler for locating and securing the car I wanted, to thank Mr. Bob Dempster for his great help on my paperwork. Bob explained literally each sentence on all the documents. I deeply appreciate for his ability to make the exhausting and overwhelming paperwork less stressful and much more educational. Thank you, Toyota Marin! More
