I scheduled an appointment for Toyota of Knoxville to perform recall service on my vehicle. When I called to schedule my appointment I was told by service department that it would take two hours to perfo perform recall service on my vehicle. When I called to schedule my appointment I was told by service department that it would take two hours to perform repair (service recall letter stated 1.5 hrs) so their estimate was reasonable. When I dropped off my vehicle at 9:00am service agent asked what time did need my vehicle back. To make sure I allowed them plenty of time I told them 1pm which would be 4 hours or double the time they quoted me to complete the repair. I finally called them after 7 hours person I spoke with stated they would have my service agent call me right back. They finally called back half an hour later and told me my vehicle was ready. When I asked why it took so long I was not given an answer just that they were sorry. I contacted them on their website to express my frustration with my experience with the service department. A representative was responsive and called back with 2hrs of my submittal, but stated she was sales and provided me with name and number of individual in service department to call. When I called the person did not pick up and the phone system informed me that "the individual is not available and I would need to call back later". I did not provide the option to leave a message. I called back was told I would be transferred to another service manager but the transfer went back to main switchboard, I was left with the impression that they really did not care and did not want to speak with me. More
