Very dissatisfied with the service yesterday. When I made the Appmt several days ago, I asked for an oil change, and this was not done. I can’t imagine a Toyota agency service dept doing this. He said it didn’t need any oil change yet. Couldn’t he have told me that when I delivered him the key and the car? What if I’m going to go on a long trip and wanted to get it done early? The customer is paying for it for crying out loud… I talked to “Pat” on the phone today and he told me I needed to pay attention to what they said when I took it in (!!!). I feel and told him that they didn't pay attention to ME when I asked for an oil change. He said that at the mileage it now has, it only called for a brake inspection. I only understood this after the fact and after I paid and left and came home, suspecting nothing, thinking my oil change had taken place. VERY disappointed in this agency and its services. I remember “Pat” well from yesterday, he was A-OK). In todays conversation on the phone about it, not so much as an apology for not making sure I understood that what I asked for wasn’t going to be done and what I didn’t ask for was……… I'll be getting my oil changes etc done elsewhere on this vehicle from the now on unless something is done about this. It’s sad more than anything and seems a little deceitful. More

Told the rep when first arrived only to do oil change and tires rotation with a coupon for $19.95 for synthetic oil change sent by this dealer. Estimate the cost is $20.00 for oil change and $40.00 for tire tires rotation with a coupon for $19.95 for synthetic oil change sent by this dealer. Estimate the cost is $20.00 for oil change and $40.00 for tire rotation plus tax. No paper work was received after signing to okay the service. Change of practice? When at cashiers office was told the bill is $167.49 (after discount for $25.00 applied). When asked what happened to the oil change coupon, it was found used by another cashier for someone else! The rep was called in to verify that a coupon was actually presented by me and the bill changed to $101.05 because the inspection on brakes was charged which was never authorized. I did pay for $101.05 but not totally pleased with how the final bill was determined. Please note that the car only has less than 13,700 miles on its odometer. The oil changes coupon includes 12 free points for inspections. Honesty and total transparency is the way to do business otherwise you would lose your customers on a long term basis. Toke my 2019 Tacoma for service. I meant to service adviser battery may be going bad as it sluggish at start up. They tested and was my speciation was correct. I received an estimate to replace battery $187 + battery service at $55. Total $243. At that point showed him at received a Toyota of Escondido service coupons at was for $25,$50, $75 and so on depending on what the cost would be. The coupon did say excludes tires and brakes. The service advisor said only can take 15% on labor which didn’t make sense. I went ahead and had battery service done. But I kept reading this coupon and when I received by bill was over $350 which was over the estimate given. I again why could use the coupon. I was told they couldn’t do it on battery. No where in the coupon that is mentioned on tires and brakes. After going back in forth they only took $25 which showed off been $50 based that I quoted $243. If some from Toyota of Escondido wants to look more into this, here is my invoice number 2470840. Just want service department to be honest and take their own coupons that are given out to public.
