First, I wondered why they began payments right away, when so many dealers were giving people 3 mos. to begin paying due to the pandemic. First, I rethought getting only $1,000 dollars for my 2008 Scion (fully paid for, with new front brakes and fairly new tires)) when I had $5,000 to put down on my new car. Also, I was talked into extra warranties, So when I brought the car back in right away for a couple of reasons, I did not expect the expense. I wanted a strobe light to defend against rodents connected (I had bought it on Amazon for $25) under my hood; this was the connecting of TWO WIRES: it cost $77.50. Then, I wanted a few wires rewrapped because they were chewed on by rats before I caught this issue. I was told one wire needed to be replaced, but everything ended up costing me over $300. I was shell-shocked. And btw, I waited from 9:3am to 3pm for these repairs. I called to talk to the General Manager, and was instead put through to the Customer Service Mngr., who really didn't say anything to help. Unless it's covered (and call in to make sure beforehand), I wiould recommend you go to a private repair shop. More

This was my first time taking my car for service to a Toyota dealer. I was shocked to see more than 20 cars ahead of me, I had an appointment at 9:00 am. I was wondering what the need to make an appointment was. I didn’t have anyone take me so Toyota called a Lyft for me at their expense to take me home. I received a phone call from Victoria at 12:45 pm to go pick up my car. Overall it was a good experience. More

I Have been bringing my vehicles in for service for several years now and even though the dealer changes, the drop off procedures change, the great customer service stays the same. I have been working with Kyle in service all these years and could not say enough good things about how helpful he is, how he makes the process of dropping off and picking up my vehicles easy and how he communicates with me when my vehicles are in service. Horrible experience. When I made the appointment it was for 9:30am. When I get there I was told I had to wait 4 hours. Ridiculous and stupid. Why would you tell someone the appointment is at 9:30 then tell for 9:30am. When I get there I was told I had to wait 4 hours. Ridiculous and stupid. My visit at toyota of escondido was very bad.i had my toyota highlander bring in for battery problems already 3 times and they haven't been able to fix the problem even still under warranty.
