Scam the 18 year old I went to toyota direct to purchase a car for my 18th birthday. I called the day before and asked about the car i wanted to purchase but also informed I went to toyota direct to purchase a car for my 18th birthday. I called the day before and asked about the car i wanted to purchase but also informed the salesperson I was looking into other options but wanted to come look at the car. The salesman told me even with money down there would be no way I could afford the car I wanted and get in financed. I then got a loan through my bank the next day and called them saying i was coming to look at the car. That day the salesman Robert Cordell the one I spoke with on the phone was shocked I got the loan but continued to show me the 2007 scion tc. Well after reviewing the car and going inside I told him I was looking into other cars with less miles and less money. He assured me it was stupid to go to a mom and pop place because Toyota offered a warranty and would take care of all my needs. He finally convinced me since they gave me a warranty to stick with them so I did. He took advantage of me buying the car on my own for my 18th birthday. Not only thatI asked the car to be ready the next day at noon for me to take and also had to wait two hours for the car to be detailed. After that I was very upset with the service. 2 months and 15 days later after the purchase of the car the engine blew up while I was traveling to Michigan to visit family. I contacted Toyota so I could use my warranty to pay for roadside assistance and take care of the problem, I am then told I have no warranty and no one will help me. Due to this happening the day after christmas I had only money to pay my bills and had to max out my first credit card to pay for a tow to the nearest Toyota in Michigan when I was traveling and from Ohio. The dealership played circle games with me and had me on the phone for 4 hours straight saying they had no record of my purchase and I was stranded in another state with no transportation when the salesman Robert Cordell promised i would be taken care of and had a warranty. Then when wanting to talk to higher ups the manager of Toyota said their is no higher up he was the end of the change but then also mentioned he had a boss, no one took me serious due to by age and was manipulated to the point of no return. I just want justice because now I am put into a lease car by a company in Michigan through Toyota and cannot afford to pay the payment because Toyota direct is still making me pay for the car that blew up. Toyota direct is a joke and lies constantly about their sales. More

5 Star Dealership and Salesman, Russell Doddroe I have to say shopping for a car is not my idea of fun. I was buying a new car for my wife, not wanting a salesman aiming to pitch a sale to my wife a I have to say shopping for a car is not my idea of fun. I was buying a new car for my wife, not wanting a salesman aiming to pitch a sale to my wife at a premium car at a more premium price. I did my research and decided on checking out 4 different small SUV models and contacted multiple dealerships through TrueCar for the best price. My wife wanted the low cabin noise level and a smooth ride, I wanted safety, reliability, and a good price. Well Russel Doddroe was terrific. We test drove the RAV4, and while we were out on our test drive he went to work on his computer and printed out comparisons of the 4 make and models we were considering. We looked it over and he gave us his best price. We went on our way and drove 2 more different cars that day for a total of 5 cars. We had decided not to make a decision while tired so we continued car shopping the next day. We drove 2 more cars at different dealerships and and decided to talk with Russell and took another test drive in the RAV4. Smoothest and quietest ride for my wife; high reliability, great safety features and thanks to Russell, the best price. Then my wife spotted the moonroof and the nav system- base model out, XLE in and price up! Thanks to Russell the price increased only a little. So happy husband, happy wife...well you know the rest. Untrustworthy Business I was told the car would be waiting for me when I got there only to find out that the car was sold 10 minutes before arrived. So I spoke with a sales rep on a Saturday afternoon and he seemed very reasonable and customer focused. I told him that I had cash in hand for a 2016 used vehicle that i could pick up the next day. I text the sales rep before I left Dayton to come get the vehicle in Columbus, about a 75 minute drive. The sales rep text me back when I was 10 minutes away from the dealership saying that someone else was test driving it and they had first right to the vehicle. So I show up at the dealership and the sales rep did not care one bit that he was losing a sale from me to one off is coworkers. I waited 90 minutes at the dealership to find out that the car was purchased and was speechless. I spoke with the manager and he didn't care either! I couldn't believe how truly bad this experience was. I wouldn't recommend this dealership anyone! They don't care about anything but their bottom line. This dealership has zero credibility in my books and will make sure that I let all of Columbus friends know. More

The salesman refused to take even a dollar off the price of the car do to "competitive pricing". After making the purchase, I looked up the value of my new car and realized I overpaid for the car. I confronted the dealership and the salesman and both had no explanation to why they lied. Find a different dealer for your next car purchase. Toyota Direct are liers More
TPM sensor replacement - cost more than 2 tires! I brought my 2010 Corolla in because one of my TPMS was malfunctioning. The person that checked me in told me it was a 90.00 diagnostic fee, but that I brought my 2010 Corolla in because one of my TPMS was malfunctioning. The person that checked me in told me it was a 90.00 diagnostic fee, but that should about cover the cost of replacing one of the TPM sensors. I said go ahead, and he told me they would let me know cost before work began. I was shocked to hear the price they wanted to charge me was 3 times what I was lead to believe - 270.00, for one sensor replacement. I can buy 4 of them online for 150.00. So now I can spend 90.00 for nothing, or 270? Fortunately, I peeved the service guy off, by suggesting he was ripping me off because I was a lady - and he decided they would refuse to do the work (that was probably already done by this time). So he 'only' charged me 34.00 of the 90.00 and put my old sensor back on. The next day we called two different toyota dealerships and Firestone and were quoted the following different prices for the same work: 226.00, 197.00 and 107 at Firestone. Yea, I believe Toyota Direct was ripping me off!!! More

They wanted a specific car at Toyota Direct so we went. I never have felt rushed into buying a car. He was aggressive and pushy. Especially rushing us to "sign papers" and asking a number of times "What's the problem?" when we wanted more time to decided. Regardless if it was on a Saturday two hours before closing, no customer should ever feel like we are on "their time" when they are making a huge financial purchase. There is always tomorrow to complete a deal! Terrible first experience for someone who is purchasing a car for the first time at a dealership. I suggest some type of hospitality training so that he can better reflect Toyota Direct. More
