Neil Sarrubbo was the sales person who first greeted me when I visited DCH Toyota. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We went here to purchase a prius we saw online after a terrible storm that destroyed our vehicle a year or so ago. We were handed Neil Sarrubo and took a test drive. From the get-go, the guy was a typic terrible storm that destroyed our vehicle a year or so ago. We were handed Neil Sarrubo and took a test drive. From the get-go, the guy was a typical used car salesman i.e. he was overly chatty and did not know much about the vehicle’s specifications at all. I have purchased many cars in the past so I know how the routine works. We get down to business and start tossing numbers back and forth – he used the usual tactics and we finally agreed on a price. The price was not good, but we needed a car right away so we bit the bullet. We figured we could drive off the lot with the car same day as it was an early AM on a Saturday, but supposedly the bank that dealership deals with is closed on the weekend. This was strange and not true, but no worries. We were promised the car would be ready in a few days with rubber car mats as was agreed upon. Few days later, Neil called saying all is ready for pickup. I live about 1 hour from this place, so I wanted to make sure the car was ready with all accessories. I heard a resounding YES on the other line. We drove over and, once we got there, we were told that “the car is ready, but we still have to order the rubber mats and another programmable key”. FYI, mats are always available at dealers and, if worse comes to worst, they can always pull them from another vehicle for customer service. I was angry, but took it in stride and chalked it off to “ish happens”. Neil promised that the key and mats would be ready and I could come pick them up in a few days. I didn't hear from Neil for about 5 days, and that’s when things became muddy. He kept giving me the old run-around and, before you know it like 3 weeks passed with the same excuse! I called the dealership many times, and spoke to many managers – they all gave me the same run-around. I called Toyota Corporate and filed a complaint about the dealership. Finally, after calling for 5 weeks, I received a return call that the accessories were ready. I am so glad I never have to see these people again. I would advise anyone strongly against going to this place. More
Overall a very good experience buying a used car here. We spent several months looking for a used vehicle at this dealer and other Toyota dealers since we were specifically looking for a Sienna Limited whic spent several months looking for a used vehicle at this dealer and other Toyota dealers since we were specifically looking for a Sienna Limited which is relatively hard to find. Neil was our sales consultant and he provided patient, friendly and helpful service as we went on several test drives. One our first visit we did not find the Sienna we were looking for, and over the next several weeks Neil called us whenever a Sienna Limited came in. The sales consultants at the other Toyota dealers we went to did not do that. After we found the car we wanted at this dealer Neil was very helpful and instrumental in getting the car registered since we were out of state and it was a somewhat complicated process. I made many phone calls to Neil and he was always helpful. On the day we purchased the car, the finance manager Luis explained the financing in a friendly, clear way and answered all our questions thoroughly. Overall we had a friendly, accommodating, no-pressure, helpful experience at this Toyota dealer. We highly recommend this dealer. More
We were looking for a vehicle for our nanny to use when she has our kids, and were wavering between a minivan, an SUV, or something like a Prius. We found a good selection online at DCH Toyota, and went to take a look. April came out to talk with us, and was very friendly and helpful. We went on test drives with a Sienna, a Highlander, and a Prius. Despite the disparity between the vehicles, April was very helpful to us deciding which to go with. We opted for a Sienna, since, as April said, it's a vehicle you grow into. No annoying sales pressure- April let us know the plans for the van, and the price. We left to think about it, and later on April called me with a lower price. We took it, and through the process, April was quick and efficient gathering all our info and processing the sale. We picked it up two days later, and April came in on her day off to complete the sale. Luis did a good job completing the paperwork- very pleasant and efficient. Overall, very pleased with the process and purchase. Good vehicle, great service, good price. What more can you ask for? More
Recently late one night my wife 'potholed' our Highlander Hybrid making it difficult to drive and turning the 'you are skidding' light constantly on. The next day I called DCH Toyota and they sai Highlander Hybrid making it difficult to drive and turning the 'you are skidding' light constantly on. The next day I called DCH Toyota and they said they were happy to see our vehicle and do whatever it took to fix it. I dropped it off around 10:00AM and by 1:00PM it was fixed and for far less money than I had feared. I highly recommend this dealership. From the person who greeted me in their indoors drive in drop-off lane to the greeter to Helene Pesce, my service rep, to technicians who passed by in the waiting area EVERYONE was friendly, courteous, and professional. The service area is clean and comfortable with free coffee and bagels on offer. For those who have to wait for their car to be fixed I note that a variety of tasty lunch spots are a moderate walk away on E. Boston Post Rd (aka Rt 1). Even closer is Walter's Hot Dogs - a local icon. My only criticism (and caveat) is that the person who spoke with me on the phone, knowing that I would be a first time customer, should have made sure I knew that the service center is not at the sales dealership - it is instead at 700 Waverly Ave. That said, as soon as I exited my vehicle at the dealership a salesman came over and gave me directions to the repair facility.
