Steve, You were in on July 27 after speaking with Marco on the phone. At first you inquired about a 2013 Tacoma which was previously sold. Marco offered you an alternative 2011 Tacoma which was advertised for $19,888. You state that you came to an agreement with Marco, however we feel you were negotiating and never had a management approved deal with us. You state that we ran your credit which is true, what you don’t state is that you signed a credit application giving us permission to do so. We only run a customer’s credit during the negotiation process to make sure a client qualifies for the vehicle he is negotiating on. When you and Marco did not come to an agreement and you left the dealership all previous offers were no longer in effect. You also submitted an internet inquiry while working with Marco and had a different salesperson contact you. We understand that there is confusion when two different salespeople get involved. We apologize for any inconvenience that this brought you. At no point did this dealership “bait and switch” you. We were in good faith trying to work a deal with you and unfortunately we were unable to do so. Our 10 year reputation of providing good customer service is something we take great pride in. Joe, Thank you for your feedback. After reviewing, our initial estimate was conservative considering we wouldn't want to give you a lower estimate and have the reverse outcome. The vehicle had an actuator that was hanging up and that is what was stated. Once tear down was being done the technician discovered the outer door handle was broken on the inside and hanging up the internal lock mechanism. So it was decided that the handle would be replaced and pointed out at pick up that the inner handle if pulled fully open would retract but if pulled half way would not retract all the way. That would need additional parts and labor and your reply was it was "ok". We thought you would be happy to hear that the damage was not as bad as we thought and we wouldn't want to charge you the full amount of our initial estimate.
