Toyota Camry Service I usually go to another Toyota dealership for my 5,000 mile check up but was staying in Santee and it was time for my maintenance. Exceptional Service!! I was having a problem with my 2011 Tundra shifting only to 4th gear, VSC light on, check engine light on. My own on-line research of the Diagnostic T I was having a problem with my 2011 Tundra shifting only to 4th gear, VSC light on, check engine light on. My own on-line research of the Diagnostic Trouble Code indicated a knock sensor wiring problem possibly caused by rodents eating the wires. Apparently Tundras have a history of this problem. I called TSC Santee and spoke with Scott (Asst. Service Mgr.) to get an estimate if in fact the wiring was the problem. Based on what I told Scott the problems were, he said it would cost about $1000. Another Tundra was serviced with the same problem a week before. I was ready and willing to pay what ever it would cost to get my Tundra working again. Scott suggested I call my insurance company because they usually cover incidents like this. To my surprise they did cover repairs caused by rodents. Not only did Scott save me about $350 bucks but he coordinated with my insurance company and took care of all the details to get my Tundra fixed. Communication & service during and after the process was exceptional. Thanks again Scott. TSC Santee rocks!!! More
