I visited three dealerships before coming back to Towne Toyota. My credit score had slipped since my last purchase two years ago at Towne Toyota. I hesitated to come back to Towne Toyota despite the fact that I have been a customer since purchasing my first car from them in 1993. Becasue of my score I was afraid that Toyota would not be able to do anything for me. I worked with a Hyundai dealer in Hackettstown and a Jeep dealership in Totowa. Both of these dealerships tried to push me into cars I did not want, and could not afford, telling me that I had no choice because of my credit score. Hyundai sales rep. called me several times demanding that I give them a deposit on a car that I was not sure that I wanted. The Jeep dealership was no better. I finally called Towne Toyota and spoke to Rich. Rich told me to come in and see him. Because I had applied for credit online, Rich was familiar with my credit score etc. before I met with him. He was professional,confident and he made me feel like a valued customer. Rich told me that he could work with me and he suggested that I consider leasing a vehicle - not an option that was even suggested by the other dealerships. Rich introduced me to Spencer. Spencer has a lot of energy and really great customer service skills. He is not pushy and again, I felt as if I were a valued customer. Spencer work with me as I looked at a couple of used Camrys. Rich continued to do the work on a lease option. Within an hour Spencer and Rich had pulled together a lease on a 2011 Camry LE at a monthly payment considerably lower than the other dealers had offered. I left the dealership that night anticipating that I would take the new car home the following afternoon. Spencer worked with me the following day because he needed some more information from me. He followed everything up with a phone call and he made the whole process very easy - painless. When I came in to pick up the car, Spencer took the time to go over everything in the new car - he is very comfortable with himself and his level of product knowledge is excellent. He even took the time to link my cell to the Bluetooth in the car. Spencer is the kind of guy who will do anything for the customer first - the sale is important - but Spencer makes the customer feel even more important. He has only been with Towne Toyota for 6 months or so and he is already an asset to the dealership. I will recommend Spencer to anyone who is in the market for a new Toyota. Frank, finance manager, was my sales associate on a previous purchase. That purchase took place over two years ago and he still remembered me - nice. He is very easy yo talk to and he made my financing very comfortable. I honesty felt that he was looking out for me and that he went to bat for me for financing because of my brand loyality. Rich, Spencer and Frank - a collective thank you. I am now driving a 2011 Camry because of your hard work and dedication to your customer.You accomplished, in less that 24 hours, what other dealerships felt was impossible. I really can't thank you enough. Toyota is the only car that I have driven and I am very happy with the Camry - beyond happy. I will see you guys in 3 years for another Toyota - number 6 I think... Spencer - stick to it - you have a natural ability to talk to people without pushing; making the customer feel that they are your first priority. Thanks for the follow up call to see if I like the new car ( I think you know the answer to that question...) Thanks again - you made a bad experience into an awesome one. More
My experience with this Dealership and its' employees far surpassed all the dealerships I visited while shopping for my new car. I didn’t feel pressured what so ever. On top of that, I have been back for my normal oil changes, check-ups, etc… and Jamie has been such a pleasure to come to. We've been researching reliable, high-MPG family cars, and decided on the Toyota Prius. Visited multiple dealerships to compare. Spencer was extremely helpful, and the least "aggressive" of any of the sal and decided on the Toyota Prius. Visited multiple dealerships to compare. Spencer was extremely helpful, and the least "aggressive" of any of the salespeople we met. He was simply helpful, and employed no "now is your one and only chance..." techniques. He just wanted to help, and made a polite follow up call without pressuring. We were pleased to ultimately choose to buy here, and so far the experience is great all around. I wish management was a tad quicker to get to the fair price we felt we received, rather than negotiating from much higher. Once we agreed on the deal, Spencer, Frank and the team were very helpful and efficient for us, dealing with all the final details (payment, trade in, insurance, registration, car instructions, etc.). Overall, a very great experience. More
