The internet rep (Hector Colon) was great to deal with via email, and then the in-house rep (Joe Ippolito) was just as friendly. I was very nervous about my first car purchase -- you hear a lot of horror via email, and then the in-house rep (Joe Ippolito) was just as friendly. I was very nervous about my first car purchase -- you hear a lot of horror stories about pressure tactics, shady salespeople, etc -- so I was pleasantly surprised by the whole thing. The price I got on the internet was the price I got in the showroom (to the dollar) and included all the fees Hector and I emailed about and no more. Joe is a really nice guy, too, and never pressured us to make any decisions. I don't know what else to say except that the whole experience of buying a car from these guys was very positive and I feel great about the price I got from them. Would definitely recommend them. I have had three visits to service so far. The first two were for a check engine light warranty repair in my first 100 miles of driving. Although I bought the car elsewhere, they fixed it cheerfully, although the first visit did not fix the problem. When I brought it back, they gave me a loaner vehicle, kept it overnight, and did a thorough check, fixing the problem by replacing a sensor. I also got my first service done at Towne. The total price was $51.31, compared to a price of $28.15 for the same service at Global Auto Mall. The service manager, John was very friendly and helpful. The waiting room was small and cramped with blaring daytime TV with only a few old women's magazines available. On my three visits, the coffee machine was broken on one and the water cooler was empty on another. I go to Town for small service procedures since Global is 30 miles further away and takes an extra hour round trip, so I would have to save at least $50 to make the trip worthwhile. More
This dealership advertised a "Manager's Special" Subaru Forester on their site. We called and spoke to salesmen twice before making the long drive to see the vehicle. We asked if the ve Special" Subaru Forester on their site. We called and spoke to salesmen twice before making the long drive to see the vehicle. We asked if the vehicle was clean and in good condition, if there was any reason for the price reduction, and so on. We were told that they simply wanted to move this "great car" off the lot since it is not a Hyndai. We made the drive to the dealership and spotted the Forester. What a mess?! The car literally has dings, scratches and dents on every corner, a broken headlight, and is FULL OF DIRT INSIDE! We opened the door, and even the salesman was blown away by the immediate wet dog smell. We couldn't even sit in the vehicle it was so bad - no joke! The interior of both back doors was chewed and clawed to pieces, the floors were stained beyond repair, there were cigarette ashes on the console, and a tube of some type of personal ointment on the floor! In my opinion, this dealership never even went inside this car to take a look, let alone clean it before showing it, as should be the standard procedure. At the very least, this dealer should inform callers that the vehicle is in damaged and dirty. Having us drive all that way to be disappointed is not a business stratgegy that will work - I know we will never set foot on that lot again. A little honesty could go a long way in this world. Especially in a business known for bate-and-switch and other dirty-pool tactics, and especially when we're calling and asking specific questions. Don't waste your time at this low-life place. If there's a reason people don't buy Hyndai's, or used cars from Hyndai dealers, I'd say we witnessed it first hand - totally dishonest, uncaring, old-school way of selling cars. It should be noted that the actual salesman that helped us on-site, Brian, was really nice and was also disgusted by the condition of the vehicle. He is the only reason I gave this dealer a 4 for friendlieness. I hope he finds a job at a better, more honest dealership in the future. Brian is the best asset this place has. Bottom line - drive right by this place, and certainly don't belive any advertisement you see from a Hyndai dealership selling used cars. More
