My friend and I went to Ford today. Jay took care of my friend the whole time. He was an excellent dealer. He was patient, had clear explanations and advice, also considerate, and kind. Jay took care of my friend the whole time. He was an excellent dealer. He was patient, had clear explanations and advice, also considerate, and kind. I am a local adviser for new teachers coming to the US and I will definitely recommend and bring other potential buyers to Town and Country Ford. Everybody there was friendly and polite. More
Bought car 12/28/22 Edge Titanium. Sales seemed good all the warranties were added but all the information is o or supposedly on a USB drive. No paperwork. Mainly the extras like Road Sales seemed good all the warranties were added but all the information is o or supposedly on a USB drive. No paperwork. Mainly the extras like Road hazard and extended mechanical were told about but had no clue as to what I had. It was in their computer in sales. Now I have had oil change and now an emergency tire change as I’m waiting here now from 7 am till 12 so far for them to get the tire. Why I rated low is sales of the car and all information needs to be handed to the service department. 3rd car I bought here always great service. Seems to have slowed down a great deal. Service department did not have any of my paper work for the car and it’s road hazard nor do they know the first oil change that I bought it here. Was not in the computer. Does it take an emergency to communicate between the departments? Still the sales know what I bought, service is in the dark and that’s not acceptable. They had all my info from my other car I bought at different dealership in 2017, but now something from 12/28/21. It’s sad is this from Covid? The worst part is when I bought this Edge there was no owner's manual. They said it was in the screen in the car. That helps I’d the display is out. Not. I asked and even called Ford Corp No Manual. I had to buy one that has twice the information in it then on the screen. If I had to change a flat couldn’t have a manual by me. Forgot car has no spare either. Halfway thru paper work you find that out and the spare is now a blowup kit. So the ford roadside assistance is a must for this car. 50 bucks for a manual that at least you now know that this is how much air goes in the tires or press this for 2 seconds and your windows roll down. But they don’t roll up. Good dealer but communication is much to be desired. Gone are the days of that personal feel even to get an oil change and so far, a day of work almost to get a tire to match the other 3. AWD not a good choice. I wish I knew general manager's email. I actually could get a call rather than a survey which I never got when I bought this one. Depending how this day ends will decide on if I would come back. Communication: example being former military the story goes navy pilot thought he had problem under his wing, two Air Force jets were there to assist. In the Air Force thumbs up means all good. Apparently in the navy thumbs up means eject. Pilot ejected. I was taught about this while in the USAF. So, sales we do everything here back to service we are at 2 weeks to get an appointment. Oil change schedule online? Tires we have sales on them, but we don’t have yours in stock. 5.5 hours still waiting to drop down a star now. They could not believe I waited that long for the car from 7am until 4:30 to get the tire delivered and mounted. They also didn’t inflate properly the work was great the wait was like being at an E.R. Total 9 hours to change a tire no loaners to get to work. More

If anyone is in the market for a new vehicle I highly suggest staying away from Ford Motor Company's Town and Country Ford Charlotte owned by Sonic Automotive. We purchased a 2019 Mustang GT carrying suggest staying away from Ford Motor Company's Town and Country Ford Charlotte owned by Sonic Automotive. We purchased a 2019 Mustang GT carrying 30,000 miles on the dash, bumper to bumper warranty, engine & transmission warranty and a blue advantage warranty from them. Since day 2 of ownership, we have been going back and forth with them and are getting no where. At this point we've had the vehicle just over 60 days with a purchase date of 05/04/22. Issue #1: Getting Our Vehicle Registered Part of the deal involved a trade-in. We signed a POA and paid a fee to have the hard tags swapped over to the Mustang and have the registration taken care of. After 20 days of ownership we were stopped by Mecklenburg PD who advised our plates were still coming up under our trade in and not to operate the vehicle until everything was swapped over to avoid tickets and or fines. Went in to the dealership to address this and was told that everything was taken care of and there would be no further issues. If there was, we'd receive a call, email or text from the dealership. After about 50 days of ownership I called a mechanic to address some issues and during the initial phone call was asked to provide our plate number. The representative advised the plates were still coming back to our trade in vehicle. At this point we went into the dealership again to rectify this. Town & Country Ford advised that there were papers that they were waiting on us to sign. The GM Charlie Pierce was adamant that they sent us these papers via email. Upon asking for them to provide an email receipt the GM Charlie Pierce admitted that we were never actually contacted to complete the paperwork. This incident lasted about an hour and while the staff was really great in handling the situation, GM Charlie Pierce was extremely nasty in his approach. Issues #2 Mechanic Issues In conjunction to us having issues with the registration, we we're also dealing with mechanical items. 2 days after purchase we noticed a loud creaking noise coming from the front of the vehicle when going into reverse and turning. We called Town & Country Ford to set up an appointment to have it looked at. During this appointment we were advised that prior to purchasing the vehicle they completed an inspection and determined that the suspension needed work and placed an order for parts. The vehicle was sold to us prior to these parts being put on the vehicle and none of this was disclosed at time of purchase. The vehicle stayed with them for 2 days to have two control arms, brake system, transmission, exhaust, clutch, axel, shocks and struts diagnosed or repaired as needed. This work was covered under warranty. After continuing to still experience the same issues with the vehicle, and taking it in there several times to have it fixed. We eventually took it to the DMV License & Theft Prevention Station to get the vehicle inspected. DMV License & Theft Prevention determined that the dealership failed to follow the proper procedures and NC state laws pertaining to the sale of motor vehicles. They also determined a criminal investigation would follow and may result in criminal charges against the dealership. The vehicle was then taken to two mechanic shops. Mechanic shop #1 stated that basic maintenance such as an oil change were never completed prior to sale. The oil showed 2 QTS under manufacturers minimum. The second Mechanic came to an additional conclusion that the struts, mounts and alignment on the vehicle were never repaired or completed. I really don't recommend anyone doing business with Town & Country Ford. We don't feel our issues have been taken seriously and they don't show any integrity behind what they do. More
