Horrible aftermath experience This dealership is an absolute joke. I purchased a vehicle here and one of the keys they gave me was for a completely different Jeep. We didn't check This dealership is an absolute joke. I purchased a vehicle here and one of the keys they gave me was for a completely different Jeep. We didn't check until we got home, once we realized it was the wrong key, I was told by our salesperson that they'd mail me the right key. After weeks and countless phone calls, nothing got done nor was anything ever mailed. They finally decided to have a new cut, but the parts department couldn't program it. I ended up going to a different dealer to get my second key since this dealership has no clue what they're doing. The miscommunication between the departments is ridiculous. On a second note, I was also lied to about the sales price. After bringing a certified check for an agreed sales price, I was told they had to charge me an additional amount for out-of-state plates, registration fees, etc. I was told I would receive roughly 80% back of my charge back from the dealer. I made sure of this and was guaranteed of this by the salesperson. Now, three months later, I have not received anything from the dealer. Apparently it costs over $500 to ship something to/from Long Island, NY to Trenton, NJ? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! This dealership is an absolute joke and a scam! Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other Jeep dealerships in the area. More

There was a very loud noise coming from the vehicle after front (two tires) were changed. Jim promised me a loaner car when I arrived there was no loaner. I left the car and gave very specific instructions not to perform any work without a written estimate and not to perform any work unless he was 100% sure he could fix the problem. After three weeks (during which time Jim refused to accept my calls (15 calls), Jim called to tell me he had replaced my drive shaft, but the noise was still there. Jim refused to give me or even show me the old part he replaced. I took the car to another shop and they immediately diagnosed the issue as a result of uneven tires (new front tires) and the problem was resolved. This is a dishonest shop that does unnecessary repairs. More
Motto for Town & Country Used Cars should be Caveat Empt While in the hunt for a Jeep Liberty we ended up at Town & Country used cars in Levittown and BOY did this place waste our time. The price IS NOT what While in the hunt for a Jeep Liberty we ended up at Town & Country used cars in Levittown and BOY did this place waste our time. The price IS NOT what you see and they will not flex to make it so or work with you either. We had found what we thought was a nice 2011 Liberty for around 15k amongst what looked like a great selection of good looking vehicles. We had our own financing arranged in hand and for a great APR which we had told them when we had walked in the first time a week prior while in the research stage. We were told that we were free to use our own financing, at that time, that it was not a problem. We test drove two Liberty’s and settled on one when we were told that on top of the price there was a significant fee, for delivery and dealer prep AND that we had to take their financing with at least a point higher interest, which I am sure would have included a loan origination fee too, which was not disclosed at that time either. The 15k vehicle suddenly had another 2+k added to the price, not including sales tax and though we had been ready to take the plunge we walked out with feeling disgusted and more than a little soiled in the process. They treat you nicely in the door, but then insult you with lots of added fees, and though we could afford it we did not want to deal with anyone who was so underhanded as to apply such a bait and switch on the price and who would try to gouge you for every penny they could get you for. I know they are in business to make money, but if they had been up front about the finances to start we could have looked at things much more realistically and perhaps gone in to other vehicles there in our search or simply not wasted our time as we had. We should have taken the hint when the couple before us had walked out when they offered pay full cash for a similar Liberty just minutes before, telling us that they were told that the price only applied for people financing and that there were additional charges. So far the only places we have seen which do not seem to play this game are Enterprise car dealers in Hempstead and D&P in Merrick, so far. The only justification the people at Town & Country Used could offer was that their “internet ad stated that you had to finance with [them] and that other fee’s would apply”, without specifying exact amounts. This is a crummy and underhanded way to do business defying the spirit of truth in advertising, yes they tell you that there are fees, but they do not tell you what they are until you are about to close the deal. Thankfully my wife and I are not stupid, or at least she is not, and we are more than willing to walk when we feel people are trying to mess with a deal; In short we walked away feeling that the reputation of the typical used car sales person had truly been justified at Town & Country Used Cars and the motto for them should be Caveat Emptor! Good dealership, lying dealer Had a easy experience buying a used Nissan Murano from Youri Chassagne. Car was in good condition but it needed a rear window wiper assembly. Youri s Had a easy experience buying a used Nissan Murano from Youri Chassagne. Car was in good condition but it needed a rear window wiper assembly. Youri said he would order it, I said no problem. Called a week later and he said it didn't come in. Gave it another week and he said he was in the middle of something and would call me back in 20 min. No call back so I call again the next day, left message on voice mail asking why he is avoiding me. Several days later asked for his boss and they hooked me up with the service dept. They were great, took care of my very small problem. They were friendly, and helpful, even listening to other customers coming and going, they took care of business. Youri never ordered the wiper and just blew me off. Try a different salesmen if you go here, I would not trust Youri Chassagne. Such a small problem and Youri Chassagne couldn't handle it Did not rate higher because of YOURI CHASSAGNE More

Great experience I have been purchasing new vehicles every 14 to 36 months for the past 35 years and therefore have dealt with a whole bunch of dealerships and sales c I have been purchasing new vehicles every 14 to 36 months for the past 35 years and therefore have dealt with a whole bunch of dealerships and sales consultants during this time. And while I have plenty of Jeep dealers that are much closer to my home than Town & Country in Levittown, NY, I traveled the extra distance because they had the exact vehicle I was looking for. After all was said and done I was glad I did as Robert Tantillo (who I had never met before) was one of the best sales consultants I have dealt with in my lifetime of car/truck buying. He was incredibly attentive to my needs, very professional, and extremely hard working during all aspects of my 2015 Jeep Wrangler trade-in and purchase of a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I highly recommend Robert to anyone looking for sales consultant you can trust. More

It has become a nightma This is the worst dealership in the history of Chrysler. I paid $30,000 cash to have a Jeep customized to my specifications. It has become a nightmare trying to get them to repair a manufacturers defect that was caused by them. The held my vehicle for over 30 days, consistently lied to me saying that they were working on the leakage issue and the other consequential issues when in fact they did absolutely positively nothing. When I went to retrieve my vehicle, there were more problems then when I dropped it off. They presented me with a receipt stating that the leakage was repaired. I immediately took it to another dealership who confirmed what I suspected; no work was done on my vehicle. Town and Country allowed my car to sit in the inclement weather and suffer more abuse while they repeatedly lied about the work they were doing. Jason and Jim are the most disrespectful and unprofessional people I have ever encountered. They should not be a representative of the Chrysler corporation in any shape or form. I bought my vehicle outright; never had to make a single car note and here it is 2 months later and my vehicle is still not in working condition and they refuse to do work that a good paying customer deserves. It is utterly outrageous that they are allowed to get away with this lunacy. I have been dealing with Chrysler's corporate headquarters with this issue from the on set and even they are at a lost for words. I have been left with no recourse but to go to the media and the State Attorney General regarding this dealership and its service representatives. Anyone thinking about buying a vehicle please BEWARE....they will take your money and turn their back on you. Jason and Jim are the worst people to ever deal with. As long as they are there you should definitely stay away. More
