I went to this dealer intent to buy a used vehicle about two years old. Approaching the lot I was dissapointed in how run down the place was. Furthermore the establishment reminded me of a ghost town. Saw a salesman sitting on the smokers bench out front and sat down. What do you want he said. No introduction or greeting. Told him why I was there and he still was not very enthusiastic. Waited 30 minutes for them to bring the vehicle to the lot even though he said it was just down the street from their sister lot. Another 10 minutes for someone to bring the gas credit card. Drove the vehicle and made small talk, guy had the personality of a rock. Asked what is the bottom line price for this vehicle? Sales guy says the price advertised is lowest price. Tell the guy what I'm willing to pay and he leaves to ask manager what is lowest. Comes back 20 minutes later and price doesn't change. About this time my intelligence has been insulted enough. Offer my vehicle as a trade in on his. Same year and same miles on it as the dealers. He goes out front with three other guys and look my vehicle over. Know full well I'm looking at them thru the window they act like a bunch of hill billys at a pig roast. Sales guy say they will give me 15000 for my vehicle, 10000 below lowest blue book price. I left laughing in his face! My over all assessment of Town and Country Ford of Louisville is consumers don't waste your time there! Too much emphasis on greed and profit. More
i negotiated a fair price for the vehicle. i was hoping for a little better deal but they knew i drove 2 hours to for this specific build and had no reason to budge. it was an average deal for the time so for a little better deal but they knew i drove 2 hours to for this specific build and had no reason to budge. it was an average deal for the time so i decided to go ahead and buy, with part of the promise being a remote start system installed at a later date. they promised a tank of gas since it only came with a gallon or two from the factory, but when i went to drive it home i noticed it only had a half gallon.. i should've known then this was going to be bad. the dealer also made promises for food, fuel, and a car wash since i was driving 2 hours of out my way to come back to them to install a remote start system. when i returned i had to remind the salesman of this since he "accidentally forgot". they took almost 3 hours to do a simple 30 minute install and only filled up my tank. i paid for my own lunch. the finance guy was very pushy, giving me a 15 minute lecture of why I need to purchase the extended warranty on this new vehicle (that came with a 3 year warranty) - telling me he sold it to his brother, was the best around, etc etc.. when i refused he found a magical $400 rebate that "Was the last one!" but looked like it had been sitting in his desk for years.. whatever. pass. they did everything to get me in the door, and as soon as i was signed the papers, the whole experienced turned into a nightmare. they incorrectly filled out my paperwork and took almost 2 months to get my rebate back. great vehicle, but wish i could've gone to a local dealer who was easier to work with.
