They make you feel right at home, willing to locate a vehicle is necessary. Willing to give the best deal that they can--with no pressure. They even got me a better interest rate than the 1.99% that was promoted. More

Loyalty means nothing to them After 20 years of loyal service, purchasing 4 brand new vehicles and having them all dutifully serviced there we just had a horrible situation arise d After 20 years of loyal service, purchasing 4 brand new vehicles and having them all dutifully serviced there we just had a horrible situation arise due to negligent service, where the driver side front wheel sheared off my Santa Fe while I was driving. I had had the front end serviced less than a month before with tie rods and ball joint as well as an oil leak. The car was still leaking oil due to a torn gasket that was not initially detected. Fortunately that was still under warranty but it didn't set well that the car had to return for what should have been detected on the initial repair. But the more serious issue was that the front end wheel was now making a new noise which I called and returned to the service department several times, almost apologetic. They told me they could find nothing until another visit when I finally got a mechanic to accompany me and heard the noise. They said they tightened a loose axle nut (which again, didn't set well knowing the car had just been serviced) and reassured me multiple times my vehicle was safe to drive. When the car began to make the front end noise again even the next day after the axle nut was adjusted, I called as I needed to travel out of town and was again reassured it was still safe to operate, however on my trip just over the border to MA the car began making such horrendous noise I called the service department upset and told them upon my return to town I would be bringing it directly to the dealership. At no point did they suggest I not drive the car, so I started for home taking it very cautiously, pulling over letting multiple cars pass me, so I didn't have to travel at high speed. About 5 miles into my trip my front driver's side wheel suddenly sheared off my car with no warning. Fortunately I was approaching an area where there was a shoulder and manged to veer the car to it. Miraculously I was not injured or killed or that the tire harmed anyone else. I called the service department hysterical at that point and a tow that took several hours due to miscommunication was arranged to get me and the disabled vehicle back to the dealer. (The local police department would not allow the vehicle to remain in the intersection so he insisted we be towed back to Lee and picked up by the operator Hyundai dispatched there.) Upon inspection of the damage we were told that it was mechanical fault, that would not have been noticed on my other visits even when it was put on the lift. Apparently the wheel nuts were over-torqued which caused the event where all the lugs nuts completely sheared off while I was driving. My husband told them we wanted a full written report of what occurred. My car was in the shop for one full month between the mechanical and resulting body damage, during which time Gavin the service manager kept assuring me of everything and promising us how he personally planned to extensively road test the car to ensure its safety before it was returned to us. When we picked up the car I noted my mileage when I got home and compared it to the invoice from the tow the day of the breakdown. Less than 5 miles had been put on the car since it was brought in and repaired. Furthermore there was nothing from them in writing or on the repair invoice citing their negligence or offering any guarantee of the work or any apologies about the situation. We tried to address our concerns with the GM of the dealership but he did not return our call. I reached out to one of the family members that I know that did try to intervene on my behalf but was only asked to contact Gavin again who now not only retracted everything he had promised but had the audacity to state how much everything cost and bold faced lied and cracked jokes about the mileage, but was "busted" when I told him I had the invoice from the tow...so now he got completely defensive and started saying they didn't know for sure whether the incident was their fault...that he really didn't know the "history" of my vehicle and would never put anything in writing admitting it was their fault. I related to my contact that I hung up on Gavin after warning him I would do so if he continued with his tone of conversation. No one from the dealership has reached out or cared to rectify this with us. No one there seems to care. In fact, the day of the incident, when I was hysterical with the potential scenarios of what could have happened (such as coming down Avon Mountain the day prior with an elderly passenger) were downplayed and trivialized by both the "bad attitude" service technician and department manager. I will not be returning to this dealer for sales or service and can only hope and pray that my vehicle has actually been fully and safely repaired. A total shame that they let it come to this, when it could have been remedied. You don't ask for someone higher up in the chain of command only to get referred back to the same person you've gotten nowhere with and only to have an issue made even worse. Not by any means the same "family" business it once was. More

Torrington alfanos Hyundai is one of the worst dealerships I have ever dealt with my car has had one problem after the other since I bought it. It's a 2010 elantra with less than 70000 miles on it dealerships I have ever dealt with my car has had one problem after the other since I bought it. It's a 2010 elantra with less than 70000 miles on it and ive noticed my transmission slipping and the color is off which means it needs service but instead of just draining it I'm told it needs to be rebuilt and thats not all since I've bought it. The cruise control was broken they only fixed that because it was still under warranty and another problem is my O2 sensor went and my window regulator broke. I have had nothing but problems. And I have had this car less than six months. I do not recommended any ever go to torrington alfanos Hyundai because they will not help you and could care less about your car or safety. More
