Please avoid this dealership, cars are not in good condition, I had to send the V70 to the mechanic 1 week after buying it, they told me the car was really in bad condition. Gas Leaking, Turbo Leaking condition, I had to send the V70 to the mechanic 1 week after buying it, they told me the car was really in bad condition. Gas Leaking, Turbo Leaking, refrigerator leaking, starter broken, and many other things, I have the papers from Volvo Edison reporting everything. My fault not to bring someone with me to pre check the car. Be smart forget about Torch Light! More
I said i wouldn't recommend torchlight bu i would if you know what you are doing. He basically bus cars from auctions at cheap prices and tells them on. They come from all over and he doesn't do any work o know what you are doing. He basically bus cars from auctions at cheap prices and tells them on. They come from all over and he doesn't do any work on them beyond making them look good. Mechanically its total pot luck, as long as they are running he doesn't care. i bought a used 2005 V50. No real complaints about it, a few things have gone wrong but i would expect that with any used car. My main gripe with him is that he concealed the truth. I had the car checked out before i bought it. they told me that one side had been repainted and the window replaced. this didn't show up in the carfax report. I confronted him with this and he said "ohyeah, i bought it with a scrape on it and repainted it, so what, still wanna buy it?" the price was right and he knew, he sells it for what it is but bascially 'tarts up' every car. If you buy from him get it checked out by a third party, $150 for an inspection is pennies for peace of mind. More
I bought this car from this guy and have had nothing but trouble with this lemon. I too was durged to purchase the extended warranty from Eagle Warranty. I just found out that this warranty company has gone trouble with this lemon. I too was durged to purchase the extended warranty from Eagle Warranty. I just found out that this warranty company has gone beely up and have left people, me included, stuck.I have owned this car for less than 2 years and have already had a rebuilt transmission, multiple sensors and various other problems. I strongly urge anyone who might be looking at buying a car from this crook to run in the other direction. More
I went to look at a used Volvo xc 90. I delt with Jeff the owner. Jeff told me that someone else was also interested in the car but a $500.00 deposit would hold it. Jeff also convinced me to include a us the owner. Jeff told me that someone else was also interested in the car but a $500.00 deposit would hold it. Jeff also convinced me to include a used car warranty in the price. When I heard some bad things about Torchlight Motors and Jeff I decided not to purchase the car. Jeff told me too bad I am keeping your deposit. This guy doesn't have to sell many cars, he can just screw poeple out of their deposit which I was told was refundable. More
Bought a 2007 S60 from them with about 40 K miles. The car was exactly what it was supposed to be, no surprises... The price was good and there was no haggling. However he was up-front about this before my purchase and I did not feel "beat" in the least. M More

If you're looking for a used Volvo, this place is definitely worth a look, I was surprised at the variety of used Volvos. When we first got there, they handed us a list of all their cars and the pric definitely worth a look, I was surprised at the variety of used Volvos. When we first got there, they handed us a list of all their cars and the prices. We checked out a couple and ended up purchasing a very nice looking, but high mileage '04 V70 for a very reasonable price. The car has been very good so far. We dealt with Jeff (the owner) and Herb. The "salesyness" vibe made the transaction feel more like we were buying a new car and not a used car - a very good thing. Everything was fast and efficient. They seem to know Volvos, which makes sense, as that's what they do. I did extend the warranty to 1 year -- they resell Eagle Warranty Corporation's warranties. Eagle has some fairly awful sounding reviews online, but it mostly seems like "the people were rude" or "they were slow to pay" -- who cares, as long as they pay? I haven't had to use it yet, perhaps my tune will change. They even returned my sunglasses, which I apparently left in one of the cars I test drove the week before. More
