We came from another state to buy our new car from this dealer mainly because they do not charge over msrp. All other Toyota dealers that we visited (5) charge over msrp for no valid reason. dealer mainly because they do not charge over msrp. Super poor service called the sales manager 13 times and never responded or responded to my voicemails or emails. I was curious to see if they were just super busy so I went to the dealership and stood insi never responded or responded to my voicemails or emails. I was curious to see if they were just super busy so I went to the dealership and stood inside and called and asked more the sales manager and she took my name and I watched her talk to the sales desk and you could tell they were all just talking and messing around at the sales desk even though she came back on to tell me they didn't answer. I was misinformed of when my vehicle would arrive and then they added on like $4,000 in extended warranty and stuff I didn't want. More
We signed an order for a new Sienna and deposited $500. When the vehicle arrived they called to let us know it was there. We were from out of state so we needed to make plans to pick it up. We also did not When the vehicle arrived they called to let us know it was there. We were from out of state so we needed to make plans to pick it up. We also did not need financing. This is when it turned out to be quite strange to me. We were buying the Sienna in our company name, but they demanded that I give them my personal credit information so they could run my credit history. Again We were paying cash so told them we didn't see why that step would be necessary. At that point they said we were not being upfront with them and were going to resale the van before 6 months and that would be bad for them. I think in America when you own something it is yours to do with as you please. So they sent my nonrefundable deposit back to me and sold the vehicle to another customer that they deemed to be better than us. So in review the deposit you put down on a vehicle at Tony Divino Toyota is just for them and does nothing for me the customer. I am still trying to get some better treatment from the staff and even the ownership, but they really don't care about you the customer at Tony Divino Toyota. I talked to Tony Divino, and I did appreciate that he talked to me but he backed up his staff and did nothing to correct the situation they have caused. I have been a business man myself and would never treat people the way Tony Divino Toyota does. Please consider my experience with them before you deal with them. Leon DeCook More
Handled the day of delivery incorrectly. 8 days later, still did not have the certificate needed for the Registry. Then, their "title" guy lied about when it had been sent, since it had not yet been sent still did not have the certificate needed for the Registry. Then, their "title" guy lied about when it had been sent, since it had not yet been sent at all! In short, friendly folks who cannot be relied on. More
Buyer Beware. Tony Divino Toyota and Toyota Corporation refuse to honor factory warranty on a brand-new truck. I purchased a brand-new Toyota Tacoma from Tony Divino Toyota in Ogden, Utah on June 25th, refuse to honor factory warranty on a brand-new truck. I purchased a brand-new Toyota Tacoma from Tony Divino Toyota in Ogden, Utah on June 25th, 2021. The buying experience was nice and easy. Gave them 5 stars. Two months later I noticed 3/4" paint defect on the roof of the truck. Clear coat and base paint were gone. I obtained touch up paint from Tony Divino and attempted to remedy it. I didn't like the result. Since it is a brand-new truck with around 500 miles at the time, I took it to Jack Harris Autobody, Hatch Autobody, Layton Car Care Autobody an Crazy Color Autobody in Layton, Utah. All four body shops told me it was a manufacture's defect with early signs of rust. They put that in writing in the estimates. I took the truck to Tony Divino where photos of the damage were taken and sent to Toyota corporation. Service advisor told me right then that Toyota most likely would not honor the warranty since I applied touch up paint. Three weeks later, I was told that Joe Lene at the Toyota Corp. declined my claim. I called Toyota Motors and spoke with the Customer Care representative. I was given case #211018002803 for my claim. I was informed that the case will be sent to Tony Divino Toyota with the request to accommodate me. Customer relations manager Dennis King called me and asked me to email him estimates with a written comment about factory defect from body shops and photos of the damage. I did that. Mr. King called me to advise that Tony Divino Toyota refused to honor the warranty since I attempted to remedy it with a touch up paint that THEY GAVE ME. I was mailed a letter declining my case which I quote here in its entirety. "Condition" On 9/24/21 Cust request that we pay for his roof to be painted because of 3/4" factory defect or chip. Cause Can't tell because of a touch up performed by non-professional. Remedy 10/26 at 3:05 I informed Mr. Rodin that we couldn't help him because of the 3 months sense (sic) now and when truck was purchased and the touch up." Mr. King also suggested that I take the truck for paint repair to their guy saying it would be less expensive "but less than perfect" (his exact words). Strange way to advertise a business. I love my truck but would like to warn potential Toyota buyers about their business practices and will not return to Tony Divino Toyota . I advise family and friends to do the same.
