We attended the Portland Auto Show last weekend looking for a new car with good gas mileage and looked at Kia, Ford, Chevy, Hyundai, Nissan, Mazda, Suburu in addition to Honda. There were alot of vehicles and alot of pricing/mileage information to keep track of. From the beginning, we were blown away by the exceptional professionalim of Mr. Scott Wildman. Mr. Wildman was the only sales consultant that, during the course of the day, kept checking back with us, not to pressure but to see if he could answer any questions. His product knowledge and friendly, low key approach made us keep returning to the Honda booths. While the Honda was initially not our first choice, Mr. Wildman was key in making it our final selection and we absolutely love our new Honda Fit!! Also, Josh Jindrich, your finance specialist, was excellent, as well. He made the whole finance aspect of the deal easy to understand and patiently explained everything we needed to know. Thank you for giving us the ideal car buying experience. We will recommend you guys to everyone we know! More

We went to Gresham Honda to buy a new 2011 CR-v. When we arrived we were greeted and helped very quickly by Jeremy. He asked what we were looking for and took us right to the CRVs. Unfortunately, they did arrived we were greeted and helped very quickly by Jeremy. He asked what we were looking for and took us right to the CRVs. Unfortunately, they didn't have one with all the features and color I wanted so they went and found one in another city (Spokane) and had it delivered on a truck to the dealership. When they finished adding the extra accessories I wanted, which they did in a very timely manner, they polished washed and waxed the car put it in the showroom on the floor with a giant red bow because it was my birthday. Jeremy then took us inside the car and went over all the features and accessories and how everything worked. Everyone was very helpful and made it a great experience and even better birthday. And i absolutely love my CR-V. More

I have bought 6 new cars from a Fit to an Accord and 1 used Accord from Gresham Honda and have always been completely satisfied with my experience. I always begin with calling Jim Benbrook, he is always eager to help me and makes me a deal I can't refuse!! Even if I call or email and he is not available right then, he will have a salesman call me, so I am never left hanging!! Then this time I met Randy Mudica, who was very friendly and helped me thru the initial paperwork like a pro! Once I get to the dealership, out comes the red carpet!! The general manager, Scott Sidell, always comes down to see me and make sure every one is taking care of me! Randy then took me on some test drives and I decided on which one I wanted. Then Josh Jindrich in finance takes over and he is so knowledgeable and quick with his paperwork!! Within 2 hours I was driving out in my new car! I haven't met an employee there that I didn't like! They also are a kid friendly place. I took my little 3 yr old son and he got to play in their play room, as a mom this is a plus! Plus I always get a big hug from Scott and Jim, like I am family, before I leave! Can't beat that!! In days gone by, before using Gresham Honda, I had spent ALL day working a car deal....not any more! I HIGHLY recommend going to Gresham Honda if you want the BEST deal in town! I LOVE THOSE GUYS!! I have been taking my Honda's to this Dealership for the past 16 years. They have always been really friendly and honest about the maintenance that is required on my car. Never mind the difficulties -- they made it easy. They helped with all the paperwork details, answered my questions fully and promptly, and walked me through the entire process at a distance. Mark Morris and the rest of the team always did exactly what they promised and more -- Mark even picked us up at the airport and drove us to the dealership when we arrived. The whole process could not have been more pleasant or efficient; I recommend this dealership heartily. I also love the vehicle. More
Negotiate price but didn't want accessories that dealer insisted were installed at port. Deposit given because of USAA pricing but selected car was supposedly sold after deposit give. Saleman let it slip that our selection was never on the lot to begin with and they were sorry for all the confusion. We were then told our second choice was now available but located north of Seattle (?). Problem now was this car had more accessories that we didn't want but were assured by the General Manager that we wouldn't be charge for them. Then we asked for the sales inventory and cost sheet from the dealer to arrange payment and the accessories we were told we wouldn't be charged for were listed. What had happen was some of the items on the original car weren't on this car but the price was the same. Just a little bait and switch, yes, the General Manager thought he was doing me a favor and told me so when he said he wasn't charging me $350 to have two drivers go pick up the car. This General Manager didn't stop here he even tried to play my wife against me but soon realized that was a lost cause when she wasn't the one purchasing the car. Normally buying a car is an interesting experiencing and I have bought three Acura's and five Honda's for my family, but this is the first and last time I'll use any of Ron Tonkin Auto Group services, New, Used, or Service. First time buying a new car here. I came down from Seattle to help my little sister buy a new car a few weekends ago and trade her older Chrysler in. We were ready for a difficult day, but it turned out much different. Several hours later we drove away in a 2010 Honda Civic LX, not stressful at all. We recommend Scott our salesman knowledgable about Hondas and very personable. Jeremy the sales manager negotiated fairly; make sure to bring your research with you. Josh the finance manager easy to work with. Our overall experience was excellent at this dealership and I would recommend them to any of my friends or family. I can't believe it but I even wrote a letter to the GM because I was so impressed with the service we received. In addition, my sister needed to bring her new car back to receive tinted windows this past week and Josh in finance made all the arrangements for her accommodating her difficult work schedule. So nice to know that my sister will be taken care of. Thanks Ron Tonkin for hiring good people. More
We drove 100 miles from out of town to pick up a Honda we had ordered from Ron Tonkin Honda. We had secured financing through our bank, and had a check ready to deliver and sign. When we arrived the sales manager dropped a credit application in front of us and said we needed to fill it out because of 9/11. We filled out our name, address, and license numbers, but refused to fill out financial information or sign the form, as it clearly said that by signing it we would be applying for credit. After refusing to sign they left us in the waiting area for an hour and a half before finalizing the purchase. Their treatment of us was rude, especially considering the time spent getting to the dealership and that we had a check ready for them.Avoid Ron Tonkin. More
My fiance and I were in the market for a Honda Fit. We called several dealers, and found one (Capitol Honda in McMinnville) who said they'd charge us $500 over MSRP. We were okay with that since the cars are new, and popular. We had to wait a month for the car to arrive. Before it did they called and said we could only get the automatic ($800 or so more). We decided to call other dealers to see if we could get what we wanted. We made sure to grill all the dealers we called about any "extras" that they weren't including in the original quotes, and Tonkin Gresham said nothing. In fact they said they'd only charge MSRP, but also that they only had the automatic. $300 more is better than $800 more so we cancelled our other order, and went with them. When we went in they insisted we had to pay exhorbitant prices for "options" that weren't optional. Also they tacked on $450 of unnecessary anti-theft insurance, also not "optional." Sum total the price came in at about $1500 above MSRP. When we realized we were straight out lied to, we complained to the sales manager, Dennis Graham. He got so defensive that he actually began yelling at us. It was the most unprofessional, and dishonest behavior I'd ever experienced. My fiance was nearly in tears. If you want to be lied to and get yelled at then Tonkin Gresham Honda is the place to go. If you want to buy a car AVOID TONKIN GRESHAM HONDA like the plague! They were terrible! More
