Don worked with me for over 2 weeks to find a car that met all of my wants. He stayed very late to meet me, due to my work schedule. He had everything ready for me when I arrived. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! THIS STORE HAS NO INTEGRITY AND IS DISHONEST. Shopping at Gresham Honda is a horrible experience. Three days after purchasing a CRV, they called and said we had to pay another $500 DISHONEST. Shopping at Gresham Honda is a horrible experience. Three days after purchasing a CRV, they called and said we had to pay another $500. We had been driving the car, paperwork was complete but they said that an agreed upon discount did not apply. It was their mistake. They said they were sorry but needed more money. We were furious but wanted to distance ourselves from these “crooks”. If it were not for the mess that the paperwork was in, a pending loan, title changes, we would have returned the car. We were so very disgusted, that we coughed up the money in order to get out of there before we did something inappropriate. They make me sick. The problem was their error and they should have eaten the cost or at least offered some compensation. My regret is that in the heat of the emotion, we gave in to these disreputable practices! DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR LIES! More
This is the second car we have purchased from Gresham Honda and Don Roessel. We would recommend working with Don every time. Went in to have service of our CR-V breaks with their July 20% Wednesday discount. What happened was they ran the bill up to where we really did not get any savings. The next time we need service we will do alot more shopping before going to the dealer. As a result, I put my husband in the Hospital with a stroke because he was so upset with them on the phone. Don was the only on who contacted me by E-mail, phone and also regarding the Costco Program. He was amazing!! I come back in a second. Hi, I refuse to buy from this dealership due to one person only. Don Roessel. In my 25 years of buying new and used vehicles I have never met anybody as rude as him. I feel as though people in this industry should remain professional and courtesy at all times. I simply asked about a particular used truck they had on the lot and questioned the price of it since it was listed above the actual KBB retail price. I never paid full retail price ever. Toyota or not ! Nor should anybody else. Don Roessel made a rude remark about thanking me for pointing this out and that the truck will be priced higher the next day. He mentioned he can ask and get away with higher prices. For this dealer to have someone like him to represent them is a total shame. I understand this is a for-profit business here, however integrity and boundaries must still be met. Way too many dealers with good quality service and exceptional courtesy to have to deal with someone like that. Now I want to point out, I am not against all Ron Tonkin dealers. We have bought 2 new cars from Tonkin Toyota along with a used one there within 3 years. My daughter has bought 2 new Kia's at Tonkin Kia within 3 years. I have bought 2 used trucks from the Chevy as well as the kia lot. So if you desire to buy from Tonkin Greasham Honda just stay away from Don. He will want you to pay more than the vehicle is actually worth. This may have been a one time thing here, But sometimes it only takes one time..... More
The entire experience was great except for the amount of time it took us to get in and talk with financing. Don Roessel did everything possible to make our experience great, which it was. I traded in my Honda for another used Honda. I worked with Don Roessel, the Internet Sales Director. He gave me a fair price on my trade-in and was great to work with. Also, Paul is the first finance manager I have ever dealt with who actually made the experience of signing dozens of documents enjoyable. He was easygoing and helpful. The whole transaction from sales to financing was very easy and pleasant. They are a great team and I will definitely go back for my next car even though it's a long drive from where I live. This is the first time I have done business with Ron Tonkin Gresham Honda in Troutdale and I am glad that I did. I highly recommend them! More
I began doing an internet search using my credit union (USAA) car buying service for a Honda S2000 and found a number of them listed in the greater Northwest. I contacted each of the dealers via the internet letting them know of my interest in each of the vehicles. Randy instantly contacted me via email and a follow-up phone call. His response and friendly attitude really perked my interest and I decided to give this specific dealership a second look after contacting my credit union and finalizing payment / insurance requirements. My wife and I made an appointment with Randy to test drive the 2008 Honda S2000. Upon arrival, the employees made both us feel right at home. After test driving the S2K we decided to purchase it. There wasn't any haggling of price or pressure to buy what so ever. We completed the entire deal in about 2 hours, and were on our way home with a new - used car. The experience we encounter was excellent, the entire process went better than I've ever encounter when buying a New or Used car. I contribute that experience to Randy's friendly and professional attitude and character. More
