Great service! We walked into the parking lot and immediately greeted by one of the senior management then he led us to our sales person, Rick Farfan. Bait and Switch attempts fail by pure chance I went thru TrueCar and got what I thought was a very god deal. When I balked at the $495 Doc Fee, the sales rep said her manager said he'd take it of I went thru TrueCar and got what I thought was a very god deal. When I balked at the $495 Doc Fee, the sales rep said her manager said he'd take it off the invoice. So I'm ready to go their on Monday and it was about 3AM, and I realized they might have sold it. I visit the website and put in Black Tijuan. The car quoted by the sales rep as an R-line with all the features I wanted for an unbelievable price. Here is the letter I wrote to their Pasquale Genova General Sales Manager. Mr. Genova, I wanted to let you know that it was my intention to come and buy the car that Nadia told me was an SEL-R Line Jet-Black. I was just finishing up some work and discovered that the car she told me IN WRITING was a 2019 Tiguan SEL R-LINE Jet- Black 4 Motion is actually just a PLAIN Tiguan that happens to be black, I spent all week speaking with other VW dealers, and I thought I got a great deal, when in reality I got the old bait and switch. This is very disappointing, and thus I won't be coming there on Saturday as planned. I have attached her note which clearly states it was one thing, and purely by chance, I checked and found bold misrepresentation. Just plain bad business. Good Luck sir He wrote back telling to come in Monday Memorial Day and he would make very happy. I did not write back nor did I buy a car from them. This was not a simple clerical error. The VIN was in the reply and the only common term was "Black Paint" or she was too ignorant or inexperienced to know the difference between an R-Line Premium Jet Black and just a black Tijuan is a bait and switch tactic from 50 years ago when I started buying cars. I don't know nor care about their service dept., or loaners, and I guess I never will. I spoke with a VP of customer service today at VW of America in Detroit. He was sympathetic, but it left up to the local rep to deliver my message. We'll see if I ever hear from them again.
