BUYER BEWARE. DEALER ADDED A THEFT WARRANTY I DECLINED TO PURCHASE AND WAS TOLD IT WAS REQUIRED BY THE FINANCE COMPANY . FOUND OUT NOT REQUIRED BY FINANCE COMPANY. DEALER ADDED A THEFT WARRANTY I DECLINED TO PURCHASE AND WAS TOLD IT WAS REQUIRED BY THE FINANCE COMPANY . FOUND OUT NOT REQUIRED BY FINANCE COMPANY. THEY CHARGED $999 FOR A CERAMIC COATING THAT WAS NEVER APPLIED TO VEHICLE. (POUR WATER ON SURFACE AND NO BEEDING UP OR WATER RUNNING OFF) WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THE SALES MGR AND GM ATTENTION THEY COULD HAVE CARED LESS AND THEY JUST WANTED TO KEEP FRAUDULENT MONEY. I WENT BACK A COUPLE DAYS AFTER THIS PURCHASE AND BOUGHT MY GRANDAUGHTER A CAR. IF I AGREED TO THESE ITEMS WHY WOULD I CHANGE MY MIND A COUPLE DAYS LATER. AT ONE POINT HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH THE GM HE HE BECAME ANGRY AND WAS ON THE VERGE OF TRYING TO BELITTLE ME BUT CAUGHT HIMSELF VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR. WHEN A CUSTOMER BRINGS THERE CONCERNS TO HIM HE SHOULD LEARN HOW TO DEESCALATE SITUATION NOT BECOME INSULTED. I WENT THERE THINKING A BIG DEALER AS THIS WOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT THERE NAME AND IMAGE. My son took my 2023 Honda Civic Sport in for scheduled oil change on 2/14/2025. Text message link that was sent to my phone stated said oil change would be $38. I thought it was extremely low cost. Whe oil change on 2/14/2025. Text message link that was sent to my phone stated said oil change would be $38. I thought it was extremely low cost. When my son paid it was in fact $89. The link also stated my car needed a valve cover replaced on the head gasket that was leaking. Cost on that per the link that I was sent was >$300. I did not get that repair done that day. Today, my son took my car to a different dealership & was told that that particular repair was covered under warranty. I then called Tom Wood Honda service department & spoke with service mgr, Jason Broaddus, & told him the whole situation. I was told the difference in the price on the oil change was a "glitch" in the system. He then looked up my car & said that the replacement valve cover was covered under my "lifetime powertrain warranty", not my factory warranty. Ok. A warranty is a warranty. Jason then stated he could get my car in to get it fixed under warranty. No thank you. Your rude service advisor, John, was too lazy to even look if there was a warranty on my car. Don't really trust the work would be done properly at this point. I honestly feel like Tom Wood Honda service department was trying to get paid twice, once from me & once from Honda. Shady. I have purchased 3 used cars & 2 new cars from this dealership since 2018 in my name, 3 for myself & 2 for my son. Over those years, I have watched the service dept decline tremendously since Jeremy Rodecap left & no one in the building seems to care, least of all the GM Damien. In 2022 my son took his previous Honda Civic in for scheduled oil change. Paperwork claimed all fluids were checked & given green light. Within a month, the transmission fluid was bone dry. When I called service, nobody there at the time seemed to know how to even check that on that model & year of the car. Literally had to google it. My cars won't be getting serviced here anymore nor will I be purchasing any more vehicles from this dealership. More
