I did go to another dealership to see what else was out there. and was not at all impressed because the salesman did have much of a personality. I went right back to TK and bought the car. Beware of CPO program We purchased a Honda Odyssey through the CPO program in February of this year. Although the vehicle had a few exterior issues and no floor mats, we w We purchased a Honda Odyssey through the CPO program in February of this year. Although the vehicle had a few exterior issues and no floor mats, we went ahead with the purchase, and were told we would be given used floor mats, assuming they would be for an Odyssey. We were not shown the CPO checklist at purchase and therefore did not know to review or sign it. A few days later, we found the checklist in our paperwork. Although a technician and service manager had signed off on it, it was clear that the vehicle was not prepared properly to meet the stated Certified Program Standards listed in the checklist. We also discovered days later that the used floor mats they put in were for a CRV, which were not secured. After some phone calls with our sales person, they agreed to send us new Odyssey floor mats, which was greatly appreciated. However, still feeling unsettled with the whole CPO option, I wrote a letter to the dealership explaining that we should have been offered the chance to review the checklist at the time of sale. The response from the dealer was that we agreed to the purchase, knowing the condition of the vehicle, but we could have those items fixed, at the dealer's cost. The response also stated that they take the CPO program seriously, yet there was no mention of our concerns with how the checklist was handled at the time of purchase. And lastly, and to our surprise, we were told the dealer would repurchase the vehicle from us at the selling price, minus 35 cents per mile of use. Wow. We did not feel like valued customers! More

We had experienced brake issues on the way home from Wisconsin. I called ahead to see if they could look at it. Dennis Thompson answered the phone and said to bring it in when we reached Rochester. We got the car in right away and left an hour + later with the repairs all done. Meanwhile our two Bostons were treated like royalty. It seems about ever desk has dog treats available. Some customers made a big deal of them. One kind lady carries dog treats in her purse. They were well fed. On employee went and got a bowl and some water for them. Dogs happy, car fixed, home we went. More
Disappointing Service Dept. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the way I was treated by the service dept. I’m a reasonable individual, I understand mistakes happen. The service advisors could have handled things differently and instead of praising the service department now this will be my last Honda. The service advisors I interacted with appeared more interested in finishing their day (since it was a Friday afternoon) than ensuring I had a positive experience. Most disappointing was that no personnel accepted any responsibility and were dismissive of my frustration. I researched the vehicle online before purchasing; however, regrettably did not research customer feedback of the Tom Kadlec service department (sorry Yelp ... lesson learned!). As an individual who purchases a new(er) vehicle every couple of years I don’t expect to receive special treatment — I do, however, expect to feel appreciated. The Service Manager and Customer Care Coordinator both inquired about my service experience. I offered my pleasant opinion and never heard back from either. My inconvenience was relatively minor, so I’m actually pleased to discover early on that service (at least for me) ends after the sale before investing more time and $$ with Tom Kadlec. I like to support local businesses (and I like the vehicle), however, Tom Kadlec appears unable or unwilling to address dissatisfied customers so I've happily taken my business elsewhere (thank you Rochester Toyota for your expertise, professionalism, and exceptional customer service!). Also … at the end of the day of service I realized I had forgotten to present a 10% off coupon I had recently received from Honda. The next day I called Tom Kadlec service department and inquired if it would be possible to utilize the coupon on the installation from the day before. The service advisor said swing on by and he’d see what he could do. I was going to forgive and forget my unpleasant experience from the previous day if they would honor the coupon. Unfortunately, they would not honor the coupon, so instead they’ve earned this review. More
