We had recommendation from a friend hat had previously purchased from Kadlec Honda. Despite the dealer being 75 miles away, we decided to give them a chance since we have not had a good experience at the purchased from Kadlec Honda. The most recent vehicle we purchased Byron Call was the salesperson we worked with. He is a geniunly nice person with knowledge of the vehicles and ability to "fit" vehicles from their inventory to our wants and needs. It was like shopping for a vehicle with a good friend. We love the vehicles that we have purchased from this dealership and will continue to return for future purchases/trades. I found Tom Kadlec Honda on line and was invited to receive a quote through a chat window on their website. I asked the "chat" person to have a sales associate call me and Abbey Moore responded. I told her I needed a CR-V today and she proceeded to make that happen by First: giving a quote that was the bottom line without any back and forth. The quote had double the discount of any dealer previously contacted so I jumped at the deal. She was very knowledgable about the available inventory and in just a few minutes we selected the right car for my wife and I. Next came the financing problem which she solved too. The rate obtained was 1 full percentage point below the bank I had been doing business with for over 30 years. Nice, huh! Finally, when we picked up the car, it was ready as was all the documentation. Abbey took the time to go over the on board technology and allowed us to "play" with all the goodies under her caring eye. As I admired the car, I noticed splash guards on the wheel wells and rubber mats in the interior. I asked her if the car came with those options and she said no. She added them on her own to the deal with the permission of the dealership as she felt these items would help keep the car looking great for a long time. I couldn't believe it. A sales person increasing the value of a purchase without a charge. I would like to close my commentary by saying this was a great experience from start to finish. I've been car shopping in the past other places and have felt pressured, treated stupid, & rushed. The experience with Mike Dahl was quite the opposite. He was not only professional but very personable. He noticed I was worried that my phone died so he went around the offices to find an employee that had a phone charger I could borrow without me even asking him to! We did MANY circles around the parking lot because of my indecisiveness & in no way did he make me feel rushed. Because of my experience with Mike Dahl, I will definitely be buying from Tom Kadlec Honda in Rochester, MN in the future & referring him! I live 2 hours away but it is totally worth the drive to work with such a knowledgable, non-pushy salesman. When I decided what car purchase I was going to make, Mike Dahl made it fun because we were both super excited together! We recently bought a 2012 CRV. Our last car from Tom Kadlec was in 2000; obviously buying a new car is a big deal for us. We had looked and looked and driven through Tom's parking lot on every week-end Kadlec was in 2000; obviously buying a new car is a big deal for us. We had looked and looked and driven through Tom's parking lot on every week-end for the past few years. We wanted to deal at Tom's but had heard from others that we could get a better deal out of town so we looked there too. We had talked with Neal a few times. Always very friendly. One Saturday in Feb we stopped but we were in a hurry. We just wanted to get some rough numbers. Neal gave us numbers - talking fast and writing fast, he and his manager made us a deal. We walked away. I thought he would pester us -- he did not. I called him a few weeks later. I told him the fast talking had overwhelmed us but I did own that we were in a hurry. In each of our next meetings Neal told us to be sure to tell him if he talked too fast. I appreciated that he was sensitive to our earlier "concern". He was very helpful; we finally made a deal. I checked in the Cities and seem to have gotten a better offer. I told Neal and he gave us an even better deal. After the sale, he walked me through the new features on our CRV. He put his phone number into our Blue-tooth feature and I thought I would never use it. I was wrong -- I used it the next day. He was again, very helpful. Thanks Neal - you made it all very painless and we love our new car. Also - as a side note - we always had our old CRV serviced at Tom's - love that service department. Great job. More
