Loyal Customer w/ Horrible Experience! Our family had purchased our vehicle with Tom Gill several years ago; and always have had Tom Gills service department do any routine maintenance with Our family had purchased our vehicle with Tom Gill several years ago; and always have had Tom Gills service department do any routine maintenance without issue. In the end of January, the heater in the vehicle had stopped working; so we had taken it to Tom Gill to get repairs. We were called to pick-up the vehicle;with the heater blower only working on MED-HIGH, LOW would still not blow any air. Once we confronted them it only working on MED-HIGH; they had told us this would be extra. We could not afford any more repairs; as they already were charging us several hundred dollars. AND FINALLY....WHAT REALLY MADE THIS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE: Before we left we were told not to roll down the window as it would not roll back up. THE WINDOW HAD WORKED 100% BEFORE GOING TO TOM GILL!! I spoke to the service manager and he was unwilling to help saying they did not open the window panel. ** I contacted Tom Gill directly and addressed the issue, very politely and professionally; only to get immediate push back and was rude to me; saying there must be some coincidence. He had told me he would look into this and call me back. ONE WEEK LATER he had finally called me back only to tell me that he would not be able to help as his staff were not servicing near the window and their must be a coincidence. I had asked him to consider just taking a look just in case it was something very minor; and to keep in mind we are a loyal and returning customer; even purchasing the vehicle from him!! CONSISTENTLY UNWILLING TO HELP IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TOM GILL AS HE DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS CUSTOMERS!!!! More

I came in yesterday to pick up my vehicle and after almost twenty minutes did I finally get my car. The receptionist Janet had no clue what she was doing or even where my car was at. We've been going to Tom Gill for a very long time and I would have to say this was the worst experience out of all of them. More

Warning: Never go to Tom Gill for customer service!! Thank you Tom Gill and your service. Not only have we been without our family vehicle for two months because of the recall on GM's but we dropped our Thank you Tom Gill and your service. Not only have we been without our family vehicle for two months because of the recall on GM's but we dropped our car off with a working battery only to be called and told we had to pay $180.00 for a new one. They claimed it was because it sat for two months and they are not responsible for the issue with the battery because of the car sitting. So let me get this through my head. Your company recalled our car. So you gave us a rental that was another GM product. That car was recalled. Then we received a call that the car was finished only to be called back two days later asking us to bring our car in to be fixed. THEY COULDN'T FIND OUR CAR ON THE LOT. Now they want us to pay $180.00 to replace the battery. It sat for two months because of the recall. I was told by Jeanie that "it is not our responsibility, we are not GM and we didn't make the car". Wonderful customer service Tom Gill. It is a great way to treat your customers. When you got our car the battery was fine but when we get it back it is not, only after you have had it for two months. Great job blaming the customer and inconveniencing them more even after the recall. I hope all who read this know this is not the dealership you should deal with if you want one to take responsibility for the mistakes made by the products they sell. I mean seriously, after all of the issue you have an opportunity to go the extra 100 ft in this situation and chose not to. More

Nonresponsive, no follow-up communication, lack of interest They sent me a card about the recall for my Cobalt ignition replacement. I called on a Monday to schedule an appointment to get it fixed. I was twice routed to an answering machine and left a message. Later in the day, I finally reached a live human and was told the man handling the Cobalt recalls would call me back within 24-48 hours. Okay, Wednesday came and went, no call. It's now Thursday;72 hours later I call and once again get only voicemail at the service department. I inform them that 72 hours is unacceptable and if they don't need the business, they could at least let me know, otherwise I'll be forced to go to another Chevy service as I don't feel they're being responsive in a timely manner. Guess what? No return call. I'm amazed they have customers - probably only because of location convenience!!! Never will I have any further dealings with them! Apparently after reading other reviews elsewhere this is their modus operandi. Pitiful. More
Tony Humbert is the only reason I take my car to Tom Gill I purchased my car in 2010 from Tom Gill. I continue to use their service department because of Tony. He is always pleasant and has always been honest with me. He goes out of his way to make my experience the best every time I come in there. I am not very car savvy and Tony always gives me all my options in terms I can understand. I always know my car is in great hands when I turn it over to Tony and his guys. My car has always come out in the expected time and pricing has always been very reasonable. In fact, I'm due for an oil change soon and can't wait to take my car in so it's ready to go for our vacation. That way I will have a worry free trip knowing Tony just looked over my car and gave it the thumbs up! More
