I've used Tom Gill for all of my service and every time it is a positive experience. Just recently I had my car in the body shop because someone rear-ended me. The quality of work was excellent. I time it is a positive experience. Just recently I had my car in the body shop because someone rear-ended me. The quality of work was excellent. I am a rock climber so my car stays muddy and dirty inside and out all spring long. I knew that they would have to wash it to do the body work but much to my surprise they vacuumed it too! Just that little extra touch of service makes you leaving there with a smile and it also keeps a customer. I would highly recommend this dealership. More
I'm an owner of 3 Chevrolets.- A 2006 Trailblazer, 2011 Cruze, & 2011 Camaro. Horrible experience x 2 with Tom Gill Service 1st experience - they scratched the hood on my Camaro when I took it i 2011 Cruze, & 2011 Camaro. Horrible experience x 2 with Tom Gill Service 1st experience - they scratched the hood on my Camaro when I took it in for an oil change. They refused to address my complaint after I pointed it out to them as soon as I picked up my car.. 2nd experience - they did not fulfill a service issue because they didn't spend enough time analyzing it. I had an intermittent chirping sound coming from my AC/Heater blower fan. This was a known problem from other Camaro owners. It was also documented on Chevy recalls. I had recorded video of the issue for their review. The service advisor, Mr. Monday, stated this problem was normal. I'm taking my business elsewhere. More

There was zero pressure and he was very knowledgeable in every aspect of our new truck and all of the warranties and deals that came with it. I highly recommend Tom Gill Chevrolet for a new/used car purchase; more in particularly, I highly recommend John Peltz. More

I would like to take this time to express my pleasure of working with the Service Department at Tom Gill Chevrolet. Rex Tonan was my Service Advisor for my 2009 Silverado with an electrical issue. (Battery working with the Service Department at Tom Gill Chevrolet. Rex Tonan was my Service Advisor for my 2009 Silverado with an electrical issue. (Battery drains overnight) Being a former GM mechanic myself, I know that electrical issues are sometimes very hard to diagnose. Rex took very good care of me and my "baby" BART (That is the name of my truck, it is an acronym that means Big Awesome Red Truck). The electrical issue took several days to figure out and Rex kept me informed of what was going on whenever I inquired. He also let me speak with the technician a couple of time (I apologize, I do not remember the tech's name). In the end, this turned out to be caused by something that I did to cause the battery drain. Rex was very fair in charging me for labor for what I apparently caused myself. For that I am extremely appreciative. I also had the oil change service while BART was there. It was time and I was pleased that Tom Gill Service uses Mobil 1 Synthetic oil by request. Overall this was a tremendous experience for me and Tom Gill Service will be where my truck goes for service from now on! Thanks Tom Gill and especially Rex Tonan ! John WInters Elsmere. KY More
Just this past Friday I purchased a Used 2009 Toyota Yaris through Tom Gill and had a wonderful experience with everyone. Everything started with Alena who helped to coordinate between my salesman (Joh Yaris through Tom Gill and had a wonderful experience with everyone. Everything started with Alena who helped to coordinate between my salesman (John Peltz) and the Finance Dept (Dave). Without her help I don't think I would have purchased a car. Once things were moving she passed me along to John Peltz who was great to work with and wasn't "pushy" with trying to make a sale. Mr. Peltz was so approachable that I felt comfortable with asking questions about my future purchase. Even with knowing about my credit issues he never made me feel embarrased about my situation. Once I decided on a vehicle then it was onto Dave in the Finance Dept. If all people in the Finance Dept were like Dave then more of us would be willing to speak more openly about our credit situations. Over all, I love my 2009 Toyota Yaris and nothing would have been possible without my team (Alena, John, & Dave) at Tom Gill Chevrolet. :o) More
My experience with Tom Gill was really good. When I first arrived at the dealership I was introduced to John. I had called not long before to tell them I was coming to look at the Nissan Altima so when I arr arrived at the dealership I was introduced to John. I had called not long before to tell them I was coming to look at the Nissan Altima so when I arrived it was ready to go for a test drive. Loved the car and ended up sitting down to make my offer. Floyd at this time stepped in to make sure that I got a price in my budget which he did a great job at doing because I ended up buying the car. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new or used car. Thank you again More
After filling out a credit application and setting up an appointment to get a car and drive half way there (with a 2 hour drive) recieve a phone call stating the car had been sold. How do you sell a car whe appointment to get a car and drive half way there (with a 2 hour drive) recieve a phone call stating the car had been sold. How do you sell a car when you have an appointment with a potential buyer? If she had another potential buyer the appointment should not have been set for me, especially with a two hour drive. The very next day it was posted on craigslist as well. Poorest ran dealership Ive ever seen!!! Dont Waste Your Time or Money! More
First of all my overall experience was absolutely horrible...it has been since May 28, 2012 that I was at the dealership to purchase a car & I am not sure if it is a closed deal or not at this point. horrible...it has been since May 28, 2012 that I was at the dealership to purchase a car & I am not sure if it is a closed deal or not at this point...when I was at the dealership 5/28/12, I purchased a 2012 Chev Sonic which there was no negotiation what so ever on the price & I felt as if I was just trying to have a car sold to me and they didnt care about much of anything else...after being there for 8 hrs I was told that the car I purchased had been hit in the lot & had a small dent in the rear quarter panel & they wanted me to look at it...I did & I wasnt real happy about it but was told that the only way I could switch it out for another car was to redo the whole deal which I thought was a bunch of bullcrap so I just agreed to keep that car cause Tom Gill agreed to fix it at no charge to me...the car was being bought for my 18 yr old son who didnt want to leave it to be repaired that day cause he wanted to drive it home & bring it back the next day which we were told was fine...the car was never brought into the viewing bay for our sales person to go over everything with us about the car...we had to do it out in the lot which I thought was a little odd cause every other person at the the dealership had their new car pulled into the viewing bay & delivered...but anyway when we went to leave with the car the keyless remote would not work...so we had to go back into the dealership to let them know that was not working & was told that if we brought the car back they could program the keys at no cost to us...awesome strike #2 here's your sign...my son brought the car back the next day to be repaired & was given a hard time about getting a car to use while his was being fixed cause he was only 18 but yet his name is on the loan...my son was told that the repair would only take 5 days & it would be ready by the end of the week...well that week went by & we still had heard nothing from the dealership so we called to be told that it was still sitting & had nothing done to it yet cause they were still waiting on a part & we had to understand that paying customers took priority...I guess buying an $18,000 new car w/ a dent in it isnt considered a paying customer...not sure I understand that...but a manager (I dont remember his name)got involved & apologized for the inconvenience & had the car done for us in about 4-5 additional days for a total of 2 weeks that the car was in service along w/ a check for $200 for our inconvenience (gee that was soooo generous)...now on to the issues about the financing...our finance person was Dave Sharp who in my advice was a complete idiot & all he cared about was get it done & get us out the door...we werent even told any specifics about the financing only to find out after the fact that the interest rate was thru the roof along w/ the monthly payment & was told at the very end of the whole deal that we needed to pay a $1400 down payment which I thought was ridiculous...Dave proceeded to tell us that is no problem cause we can do a post dated check for the down payment & hold it for 28 days...so I really didnt have much choice at the point but to do it...it was a couple days later that I received a call from RAC the company that was financing the loan to verify the information about the loan...when I was asked if I paid a down payment of $1400 that is when I told them yes that I wrote Tom Gill a post dated check that they were going to hold for 28 days...Matt @ RAC proceeded to tell me that they dont honor post dated checks for down payments & was against their agreement & that Tom Gill is well aware of that & he wasnt sure if they would be able to continue with the financing of the loan...that is when I found out that the loan was not even completely approved or closed but yet we were able to leave with the car & have it repaired & given a rental as if everything was done & taken care of...my son than receieved a call from Dave Sharp several weeks after we were at the dealership to purchase the car that we needed to bring the car back that the deal couldnt be done...Dave acted very shady about everything as if I was trying to be made to do something illegal & he even told me dont worry I will do whatever it takes to get you taken care of cause this was our mistake...you tell me how a dealership can demand a car back that has been in collision & repaired for 2 weeks & being driven by the buyer for almost a week after that & then you are told that the car needs to be returned...something major wrong with that picture...Dave continued to state that his boss was on his back about having a car out there being driven around having miles racked up on it & no one paying for it...so because your dealership screwed up & accepted something that should not have been done I was going to be the one punished by it almost 3 weeks after the fact...I told Dave that he better find a way to get this deal done cause we were not bringing the car back for something that he screwed up on and if I had to I would get an attorney...thats when he proceded again to tell me no worries I will get this taken care no matter what I have to do it will get done...so after a day of Dave doing whatever it was he needed to do he was able to get RAC to take the deal back if I would agree to go ahead & make the first payment & they would not be concerned about the down payment which I took as Tom Gill was going to either put that back into the financing or was going to eat it & was never told anything else otherwise...so my son had to take additional copies of bank statements/proof of income along w/ the check for the first payment to the dealership cause RAC stated that they never received the original copies that we had provided the first time & while he was there Dave asked him if I needed my check back or if he should just shred it...my son wasnt sure what to tell him so he just said I will let my mom know & have her call you...again I took that as I was no longer going to be responsible for the down payment...after that conversation that Dave had w/ my son he proceded to give a piece of paperwork that showed where Dave had written on it that he was going to hold the check for the down payment until 7/10/12 so now I was really confused not considering the fact that I wasnt going to have the funds for the down payment now because I had to go ahead & pay the first month payment...I have left several voice mail messages & sent several emails to Dave Sharp about the check that he still has for a down payment that I no longer thought was a concern and needed to be shredded...in the meantime that account that the check was written against has been closed due to no activity & Dave has been made very well aware of that cause I advised him to shred that check anyway in response to his question to my son...I also have advised him that I will not have the funds for this down payment by July 10th in the emails & voice mail messages that to date (7/11/12)have had no response from Dave...now I have to be concerned about a check being cashed & not having the funds available...so with this being said Tom Gill needs to handle this & I personally believe they need to eat the down payment or whatever needs to be done cause I have had the run around with this deal for well over 6 weeks now...I can tell you that I will never recommend this dealership to anyone & I will never buy another car from Tom Gill...this was the worst mistake I have ever made & now I have got myself into a mess & feel like I have been royally screwed all around.
