the customer signed a rebate form that showed that he wished to recieve the additional 1000 offer as a rebate instead of the visa gift card that ford offered in a national advertising campaign. I do not blame the customer ford did not mention that the gift card was in lieu of additional 1000 rebate. We apologize for the mix up in the rebate, it is similar to a zero percent offer or a rebate. you can finance at zero percent but you give up rebate to do this. We accept responsibility for our part in the complaint and will try to explain the available programs at the dealership level.
