***Freddy is a liar. Potential Buyers be aware*** I know this is long but I wanted to cover our whole terrible experience (except for the nice salesman Jerry) Ok, so Potential Buyers be aware*** I know this is long but I wanted to cover our whole terrible experience (except for the nice salesman Jerry) Ok, so where do I start? So, we went to look at a Tahoe and met a really nice sales associate by the name of Jerry. He was very kind and patient throughout the whole process. We went through all the steps of preparing to buy the vehicle we were looking at. It was now time to run numbers and he went to get the person for that part of the process. In comes Freddy. From the beginning this person seemed grumpy and unfriendly. He walks up with the sheet and of course it has every upsell imaginable which is normal I guess. The price was nowhere near where we said we wanted/needed it to be. I get it, it is a dealership and it's time for the back and forth that I never look forward to dealing with. I let him know that I understand how it works and I really don't want to do the back n forth and I handed him a form of my credit score (I just recently ran my credit and provided my credit score), this is my budget, and this is our absolute highest amount we wanted to go. I even gave him a Kelly blue book instant cash offer from a previous dealership for our trade in vehicle. The number he came back with was so ridiculous I honestly felt disrespected. Again, I get it, this is a car dealership and you need to make money. I told him that the offer for our trade in was extremely low (less than half of the offer from the previous dealership). When we got there, we were told that they pay the top value for trade-ins. This was not the case. As a matter of fact, this was far from the case. When the negotiation was occurring, I told Freddy that we need to get this price somewhere much closer to the number of our budget I previously mentioned. He tried to tell me in a whisper that we can remove some of these extra options like he was cutting me a deal or giving me some special insider hook-up. It was for the Gap, Security Alarm, some Brake Safety Feature and Extended Warranty. These are options that every dealership tries to upsell you on. I told him; ok, I appreciate you trying to work with me on getting to the number we need the monthly payment to be at but the amount of the trade-in is significantly low, as the paper I gave him showed another dealership is willing to offer more than double. It was a big slap in the face. Also, he never once brought up lowering the price of the vehicle we are trying to purchase. Again, I understand that is not a tactic that dealerships do as they try to make the most money as possible. I brought this up to try and negotiate the high price of the vehicle down a bit. The sale price was priced much higher than the blue book value of the vehicle and still, not willing to bring it down a cent. He tried to tell me the dealership paid $35,000 for this vehicle that they have advertised for $36,900. I told him I have purchased many vehicles from dealerships and I used to work at a dealership as well, so I know that most, if not all dealerships do not buy a vehicle for that much and only mark it up $1,900. I told him, I get the dealership has to make money, but please have respect for me by not lying to me. He said, oh...well, even if we paid less for it, we still have a bunch of things to do to it. I told him, I don't appreciate being lied to. I told you from the beginning I have dealt with other dealerships who have lied to us and that's when we would leave. We appreciate honest dealerships, honest sales persons and honest managers. Now, when we first met Freddy, he told me that today was his day off and he had to leave a party to come in and cover a shift because someone called off. Now, if Freddy was upset because he had to come in on his day off, maybe Freddy shouldn't be in this position. I felt like Freddy was not willing to work with us because he wanted to leave and go to his party. Now if that is the case, we should have had the opportunity to work with someone else, so we could have worked out a better deal and left with the vehicle. By this time, it was nearing closing time so this is more than likely the case because he wanted to leave as opposed to staying and doing all the closing paperwork for the sale. He said, well I could work with the used car buyback department (or whatever that department was called, I can't remember) tomorrow and see if we can do something better. Maybe he should have led with that. I am very disappointed in this particular dealership. Yes, this is my first experience at this dealership, and it is going to be my last. I am going to make sure everyone who visits this dealership understands how you guys operate and know what to expect if they have any interaction with Freddy. I am going to share this on every website that I can ensuring word gets out. Buyers, please be aware that Freddy is not out to give you a deal. He's out to get you to pay the absolute most he can and make you think you are getting a deal when in actuality he is ripping you off. He is going to go back and forth pretending to work with you until he wears you out and you give up and just pay the highly marked up price they're going for to make as much commission they possibly can. I feel sorry for the salesmen and women who have to get this particular person involved in their sale as I'm sure it makes them uncomfortable and frustrated when their sale falls through. I sincerely hope this helps other buyers and that this dealership does something with Freddy because I will never shop here again with this person working here and I highly suggest the same for other people contemplating purchasing a vehicle from you guys. This is a shame because I read many positive reviews and experiences others had here. They must not have had to deal with Freddy or Freddy didn't have a party to attend that day. ***Freddy is a liar. They take care of their customers even after the initial purchase, and value long term relationships, which is rare these days. We're now a proud, happy Tom Bell Chevrolet family. More

I was interested in selling my vehicle to this dealership but an employee got annoyed because I didn't answer his calls immediately.... so 20 mins after he sent out my personal information too 20+ different dealerships. I've been receiving calls and emails from other dealerships that I never sent out my information too. Be careful with this dealership because if you don't cooperate with them they will try to retaliate against you More
