Not as dumb as they think I am I went in after getting numerous phone calls from them telling me I would get a "great deal" on a new car if I came in to have my car appraised. I we I went in after getting numerous phone calls from them telling me I would get a "great deal" on a new car if I came in to have my car appraised. I went in and found something that I liked. The deal was ok, so I told them I would go home and think about it. I contacted them a few days later to try to negotiate something a bit better. When I received my phone call back, I was told that they checked it with their manager and that was "probably the best they could do". After pushing several times, I was told that he would talk with her again and let me know the next day. He calls back as promised and leaves me a voicemail message that he has "great news". I return his call and he told me that he had one final offer. When I told him that I had to do some thinking because I still felt it was too high, his personality had changed. I was then told that my car isn't worth anything to them and it was most likely going to the auction because they didn't want it. My car was only 4 years old and the only thing it needed was new tires. I told him that I would think about it. The bright side is, that this arrogant salesman caused me to go elsewhere and I was offered $1500 more than what Tom Ahl would give me. Needless to say, I traded my car and am now driving a new one. I bought many cars from Tom Ahl over the years and I will never go back. More
