Great Service Department Lakewood Ford has continued the excellent service on my vehicles...carrying on the traditions of their sister dealership Titus Will Ford which I bough Lakewood Ford has continued the excellent service on my vehicles...carrying on the traditions of their sister dealership Titus Will Ford which I bought my vehicles from. It is closer to my home than Titus Will, so when they opened in Lakewood I switched over. Susie in the service department is great and has very good follow through. They have a decent lounge area, and I often watch the work being done on my vehicles which I like. Will continue to get oil changes here as long as they continue to do the full check up etc. as part of the process. I trust them much more than a quick lube place, as they know my vehicle much better. They take a little longer because they are thorough and it is worth the wait. In the last five years or so, i have been very happy with the regular maintenance on my vehicles. Thank you. Greg N., Lakewood WA More
Discovered shortly after buying car that the passenger side doors did not line up by about an 1/8 inch and later during our first oil change in Feb.2014 that the right side alignment is off. Dealer shoul side doors did not line up by about an 1/8 inch and later during our first oil change in Feb.2014 that the right side alignment is off. Dealer should have caught this before selling the car. I cannot recommend them at this time base on these two items. More
Bought a 2002 Ford truck from these guys for a rock bottom price "As Is". It looked like a great truck with low mileage and I was a happy camper as you can see from my previous post. However, I took bottom price "As Is". It looked like a great truck with low mileage and I was a happy camper as you can see from my previous post. However, I took it home, parked it for a couple weeks and then went to use it and it wouldn't start. Symptoms were that the anti-theft keys were not programmed. Called a locksmith who told me the internal computer was bad. Because I bought the truck "as is", I didn't expect much, but I called Bill Montague who said "don't worry, we'll take care of it". A couple days later, they sent out a tow truck and towed it down to the dealership. I got a call a few days later from the service manager who told me that indeed the in-dash electronics were bad and that it would cost $1400 to replace it. I told him I would talk to Bill and call him back. Bill said not to worry, he had the repair authorized. I was still a bit concerned. My past experience with car dealers was anything but satisfactory. Got a call a couple of day later saying the car was ready and I drove down to get it, checkbook in hand. The service rep handed my paperwork through the window and told me to see billing. I went to the billing desk and opened my checkbook, took out my pen and was ready to write a check. Much to my surprise, the bill was ..... $0.00. Nothing for the thousand dollar part, nothing for the towing and nothing for the service, nothing, nada. To say the least, I was astonished. When I bought I signed a paper saying that the truck was "as is" in BIG BOLD print. If I had bought this truck from Craig's list as I was expecting to, this would have been my bill to pay, no doubt about that. But, it seems as if Lakewood Ford stands behind its products and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I'll be replacing my Camry in a year or two and I'll be calling Bill first to see what they have. If you value honesty and fairness, they should be on your list too. BTW, this is an honest to goodness true story. Given my previous dealing with car dealers over the past 65 years, I can hardly believe it myself. More
Worst service experience ever! This place used to be good but my main go-to guy left and it went downhill fast. The service was horrible. I made an appointment to have my oil changed the day before, left in but my main go-to guy left and it went downhill fast. The service was horrible. I made an appointment to have my oil changed the day before, left in the middle of a meeting to make it to my appointment, only to not have an appointment when I got there. While making my appointment, after talking to a woman who made the appointment, I was transferred to someone else for some unknown reason. Obviously, the first person did not make my appointment and the second person didn't know to make me an appointment because I already did that with the first person. They fit me in but the guy helping me did not seem happy about it. This is the second time this has happened to me. It took them 1h30 to change my oil and replace the wiper blades. At the end of my appointment, my car sat off to the side, completed and no one came to get me. When I went over to ask about my car, I stood in front of the guy who was helping me for 5 min before someone else walking through asked if I was being helped. When I told him I was not being helped, my original guy finally looked up and said, "Oh, I am bringing up your paperwork right now." Then, he didn't explain anything that they did, just handed me the paperwork and left. When I asked about my air filter, it took him 10 min to figure out that my air filter had been checked and will need replacing at my next visit. I went to file a complaint whereby the lady at the front desk said the service manager would be right with me. He never showed up. She finally came back in a snotty mood and said I could fill out a form and the manager would contact me. When I returned the form to her, she said, "Ok, sure. I'll get it to him. Buh-bye now!" with this unprofessional attitude. It has been a week and I still have not heard back from the service manager. They lost a customer that day and probably lost Ford a customer for life! I will never go back there. Their unprofessional attitudes and ambivalent nature toward their customers really disappointed me. More
I own a 2013 Mustang GT. The vehicle currently has a 3 year 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. I am still within the limits of the warranty. On April 20th, 2013 I did a "walk in" to attempt to have my po year 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. I am still within the limits of the warranty. On April 20th, 2013 I did a "walk in" to attempt to have my pony projector lamps (projects small imagine of horse on the ground visible at night) looked at because the lights do NOT project a horse....looks more like a horse exploded. The service advisor Michael attempted to tell me that they were not covered under warranty and started to explain the process of repairing them. I asked him how are defective lightning is not covered under warranty??? He then stated "we had a couple rejected". Moments before this he told me they have had "like 50-60" mustangs that have been in for that. He then stated, "well maybe they will be, let me take a look at them" The lights has no visual damage and you cant tell they are defective unless they are actively projecting the image. After looking at them he said "hmmm, maybe these will be under warranty"...I was curious as to how he figured that out buy looking at the plastic cover??? But anyways.... I was informed there were no available appointments for the day. I said very well lets set something up for the following Saturday April 27th, 2013. I told him I would take the earliest appointment at 0800. He then proceeded to take my phone number and name on what appeared to be a napkin or small piece of paper. I take my car in at the scheduled appointment time at 0800 on April 27th, 2013. I'm standing at the same Michael (service adviser) that set my appointment up. He told me that a different service advisor Mike Smith will get me set up. I move over to his counter area, then informs me that I have no appointment further implying that I "made it up". So at this point I'm frustrated about the whole experience at this particular Service department. He said well... Mike Smith:"Are you leaving it or staying with it?" Me: "I have to stay with it" Mike Smith: "Well, I'm going to need it until 1pm" Me: "5 hours for lights? Is there anyway I can get it by noon? I have a prior engagement at 1pm, thats why I took the earliest appointment time" Mike Smith: " Well, I have 20+ cars in the service bay so it will be a while until I can get to it, so 1pm..." Me: "Thats why I set an appointment up...for 8am" Mike Smith: I dont know what to tell you, thats what I got Me: so I get screwed because you failed to enter the appointment time? Mike Smith: "Do you want to leave it or not?" I left at this point... I also asked if there was a loaner vehicle available. Considering their mistake...I was told no but they could give me a ride home. That would not get me to my afternoon place of business so I declined the shuttle ride. These service advisors were acting like I owed them something. I'm not sure how these guys are in the positions they are with no customer/ people skills. As far as I'm concerned the dealership is basically the face of Ford. Michael should be removed from his position for being untruthful to customers. IF you need your Ford serviced....take it elsewhere More
With a conformation of service hours reported by a person who works in the service department and the actually time which is reported by Tim Land is complete B.S. I attempt to get an oil change today for my who works in the service department and the actually time which is reported by Tim Land is complete B.S. I attempt to get an oil change today for my Ford and with more than 30 mins remaining in service time I was told the they work until 1700 on Saturday, and When I confronted Tim Land on the time that I was told @ 1620 that they stop work at 1730, his response was that they have 2 cars which are already being service. When I looked into the service area there were no cars in sight. That's to dedication that Tim Land demonstrated, and with being an representative to Lakewood Ford. Any considerations of purchasing a new vehicle from Lakewood Ford are now cancelled. I refuse to purchase a car from a dealership who's employee demonstrated no alacrity for their job or reputation. Thanks for the gas, time and energy in which I wasted attempting to get a service. More
I was very satisified with the concern and service given by Suzie and all of the employees I came in contact with at Lakewood Ford. I was obvious they were interested in insuring I was a satisified customer by Suzie and all of the employees I came in contact with at Lakewood Ford. From buying my 2010 Ford Fusion in October 0f 2009, to just stopping by to look at what's new, to the two occasions I've brought the car in for service (maintenance and transmission reprogramming), everyo just stopping by to look at what's new, to the two occasions I've brought the car in for service (maintenance and transmission reprogramming), everyone at Lakewood Ford has been great! They are friendly, they answer your questions, and get the work done when promised. I love this place! More
In the past, I've never been a big proponent of "taking the car to the dealership" but when I got my 2010 Mustang... I felt it was the proper thing to do, because it is under warranty, and I want to keep the car to the dealership" but when I got my 2010 Mustang... I felt it was the proper thing to do, because it is under warranty, and I want to keep it as new as possible for as long as possible. The people at Lakewood Ford's Service department (In particular, I have dealt with Tim Land) have made a believer out of me when it comes to "taking the car to the dealership." They are what I would call "old school" when it comes to customer service. They greet you with a smile, talk to you like a person, keep you informed about what is going on with your car. They clearly have a passion for their work, and they pass that feeling on to the customers. I am actually a little bit saddened that I will be leaving the area soon, because even though I don't have many occasions where I need to bring the Mustang to the dealership, I will miss doing so. I only hope that the Ford service crew down in the Fort Rucker area of Alabama are as personable, and professional as the people at Lakewood Ford. Thank you, to Tim and the rest of the crew, for a wonderful customer experience. Gladly it was not required on a repeat basis, but in a way... Yeah, I wish I had more opportunity to do business with you guys. More
Tim Land is great. He always provides great customer service. Let's me know what is going on with my vehicle. How long I can anticipate waiting (which is usually right on the mark) is will answer any qu service. Let's me know what is going on with my vehicle. How long I can anticipate waiting (which is usually right on the mark) is will answer any questions. I had another ford and quite using that dealership because their customer service was horrible. I would not think about taking my current ford anywhere else. More
