We went to Lakewood Ford in Feb this year to look for an SUV. We found one we liked and went inside to try and work out the details. First off they low balled us on the value of our trade in. Wouldn't even SUV. We found one we liked and went inside to try and work out the details. First off they low balled us on the value of our trade in. Wouldn't even discuss coming down on the sticker price. After all the paper work was filled out we said the monthly payment was to high and asked what can we do to bring the payment down just a bit. Was then told maybe it was too much car for us. Really???? We know what we can afford, we were just looking to get the best deal possible. We left and went home to talk it over. Came back a week later talked to the sales guy, found out they had us fill out the paper wrong, he took the basic info from us and then came back with...surprise... a lower apr and monthly payment.....He then told us to take the application home and fill it out as it was almost closing time. Told my wife to drop it off the next morning( Sunday ) and he would get the ball rolling. Called him later that day and was told the banks were not open so we would have to wait till Monday. Not a problem. No phone call on Monday. Called today to find out where were at with the SUV and was told that he hadn't heard back from the bank and the vehicle my wife and i were wanting to buy had been sold. Thanks Lakewood Ford for such great communication and great customer service. If you didn't want our money all you had to do was tell us from the beginning instead of playing all the bs games. We will be taking our business elsewhere. More
Discovered shortly after buying car that the passenger side doors did not line up by about an 1/8 inch and later during our first oil change in Feb.2014 that the right side alignment is off. Dealer shoul side doors did not line up by about an 1/8 inch and later during our first oil change in Feb.2014 that the right side alignment is off. Dealer should have caught this before selling the car. I cannot recommend them at this time base on these two items. More
.Everyone at the dealership I have come into contact with is professional, friendly and knowledgeable about their dept. They let you know how long it will take for your car to be serviced. Occasionaly they is professional, friendly and knowledgeable about their dept. They let you know how long it will take for your car to be serviced. Occasionaly they run over, but keep me informed. I have taken my car here for service for many years now and will continue with the one I have just purchased. More
Bought a 2002 Ford truck from these guys for a rock bottom price "As Is". It looked like a great truck with low mileage and I was a happy camper as you can see from my previous post. However, I took bottom price "As Is". It looked like a great truck with low mileage and I was a happy camper as you can see from my previous post. However, I took it home, parked it for a couple weeks and then went to use it and it wouldn't start. Symptoms were that the anti-theft keys were not programmed. Called a locksmith who told me the internal computer was bad. Because I bought the truck "as is", I didn't expect much, but I called Bill Montague who said "don't worry, we'll take care of it". A couple days later, they sent out a tow truck and towed it down to the dealership. I got a call a few days later from the service manager who told me that indeed the in-dash electronics were bad and that it would cost $1400 to replace it. I told him I would talk to Bill and call him back. Bill said not to worry, he had the repair authorized. I was still a bit concerned. My past experience with car dealers was anything but satisfactory. Got a call a couple of day later saying the car was ready and I drove down to get it, checkbook in hand. The service rep handed my paperwork through the window and told me to see billing. I went to the billing desk and opened my checkbook, took out my pen and was ready to write a check. Much to my surprise, the bill was ..... $0.00. Nothing for the thousand dollar part, nothing for the towing and nothing for the service, nothing, nada. To say the least, I was astonished. When I bought I signed a paper saying that the truck was "as is" in BIG BOLD print. If I had bought this truck from Craig's list as I was expecting to, this would have been my bill to pay, no doubt about that. But, it seems as if Lakewood Ford stands behind its products and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I'll be replacing my Camry in a year or two and I'll be calling Bill first to see what they have. If you value honesty and fairness, they should be on your list too. BTW, this is an honest to goodness true story. Given my previous dealing with car dealers over the past 65 years, I can hardly believe it myself. More
Lakewood Ford gave us excellent customer service, from the time we got on the lot until the purchase was complete. Our salesman, Bill Montague, was very professional, and was able to answer all of our qu the time we got on the lot until the purchase was complete. Our salesman, Bill Montague, was very professional, and was able to answer all of our questions. He made a special trip on his day off to be there when we picked the car up. Since it was a used car, we had several requests for items to be fixed. These were taken care of to our satisfaction. We were very satisfied with every aspect of buying a car from Lakewood Ford. More
Went there after checking Craigslist looking for a truck with cash in hand. I wanted the best deal possible. My Craigslist search excluded dealers. I only found Lakewood Ford after checking out expected with cash in hand. I wanted the best deal possible. My Craigslist search excluded dealers. I only found Lakewood Ford after checking out expected prices on Kelley Blue Book and found Lakewood by accident. What a surprise! They had the truck I was looking for near the lowest prices I found on Craigslist and the folks there were great. Wrote them a personal check avoiding the cash hassles of a private sale. They went above and beyond the call of duty fixing every little blemish on the truck I looked at and when I picked it up, it was perfect. Oil changed, waxed, and more than I expected. I'll be replacing my Toyota Camry sometime soon and I'll be heading back to Bill to buy it. More
From start, one month ago. Till the deal was struck, 1 week ago, Bill Montague was the man to do business with. It has been a long time since i considered owning a Ford and rang to ask more about the new week ago, Bill Montague was the man to do business with. It has been a long time since i considered owning a Ford and rang to ask more about the new range. I was very happy to have been put through to Bill, who is part of the sales team. He gave me accurate facts and figures about the new Focus and arranged to meet with him last Saturday. Not only did he find me the exact car that i wanted, but because my flight landed late, he loaned me a car to get back the next day to pick up my new Focus Titanium. It is totally filled with gadgets and gizmo's which i would not even know where to start using. Bill just drops everything and spends ages trying to help my small brain absorb some of this new tech so i can fully enjoy my new car. The dealership looks amazing and all the staff are very friendly and courteous. I can only reccomend, you go and see for yourself. I live in Redmond, and can honestly say that i will be travelling to lakewood for all my servicing. If it ain't broke, no need to fix it. Thanks Bill, and all the Lakewood staff. More
I gave the dealer this rating for the following reasons: Price was fair for the vehicle being sold. However the trade in price they were willing to give me was a joke. I had researched 3 differenct sites f Price was fair for the vehicle being sold. However the trade in price they were willing to give me was a joke. I had researched 3 differenct sites for fair trade in value and they would only offer $5000 below the "good" trade in value. My vehicle was in excellenct condition with numerous add ons that made it unique and very sellable. I was shocked they didn't even come close to a reasonable offer. The salesman I was dealing with seemed a little shocked as well. He asked me to come back on a different date and maybe they could get a little closer to the pricing I was trying to get. I may by there in the future if they have what I am looking for but definitely will not trade in a vehicle. I also wouldn't refer any friends there either. More
Worst service experience ever! This place used to be good but my main go-to guy left and it went downhill fast. The service was horrible. I made an appointment to have my oil changed the day before, left in but my main go-to guy left and it went downhill fast. The service was horrible. I made an appointment to have my oil changed the day before, left in the middle of a meeting to make it to my appointment, only to not have an appointment when I got there. While making my appointment, after talking to a woman who made the appointment, I was transferred to someone else for some unknown reason. Obviously, the first person did not make my appointment and the second person didn't know to make me an appointment because I already did that with the first person. They fit me in but the guy helping me did not seem happy about it. This is the second time this has happened to me. It took them 1h30 to change my oil and replace the wiper blades. At the end of my appointment, my car sat off to the side, completed and no one came to get me. When I went over to ask about my car, I stood in front of the guy who was helping me for 5 min before someone else walking through asked if I was being helped. When I told him I was not being helped, my original guy finally looked up and said, "Oh, I am bringing up your paperwork right now." Then, he didn't explain anything that they did, just handed me the paperwork and left. When I asked about my air filter, it took him 10 min to figure out that my air filter had been checked and will need replacing at my next visit. I went to file a complaint whereby the lady at the front desk said the service manager would be right with me. He never showed up. She finally came back in a snotty mood and said I could fill out a form and the manager would contact me. When I returned the form to her, she said, "Ok, sure. I'll get it to him. Buh-bye now!" with this unprofessional attitude. It has been a week and I still have not heard back from the service manager. They lost a customer that day and probably lost Ford a customer for life! I will never go back there. Their unprofessional attitudes and ambivalent nature toward their customers really disappointed me. More
I own a 2013 Mustang GT. The vehicle currently has a 3 year 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. I am still within the limits of the warranty. On April 20th, 2013 I did a "walk in" to attempt to have my po year 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty. I am still within the limits of the warranty. On April 20th, 2013 I did a "walk in" to attempt to have my pony projector lamps (projects small imagine of horse on the ground visible at night) looked at because the lights do NOT project a horse....looks more like a horse exploded. The service advisor Michael attempted to tell me that they were not covered under warranty and started to explain the process of repairing them. I asked him how are defective lightning is not covered under warranty??? He then stated "we had a couple rejected". Moments before this he told me they have had "like 50-60" mustangs that have been in for that. He then stated, "well maybe they will be, let me take a look at them" The lights has no visual damage and you cant tell they are defective unless they are actively projecting the image. After looking at them he said "hmmm, maybe these will be under warranty"...I was curious as to how he figured that out buy looking at the plastic cover??? But anyways.... I was informed there were no available appointments for the day. I said very well lets set something up for the following Saturday April 27th, 2013. I told him I would take the earliest appointment at 0800. He then proceeded to take my phone number and name on what appeared to be a napkin or small piece of paper. I take my car in at the scheduled appointment time at 0800 on April 27th, 2013. I'm standing at the same Michael (service adviser) that set my appointment up. He told me that a different service advisor Mike Smith will get me set up. I move over to his counter area, then informs me that I have no appointment further implying that I "made it up". So at this point I'm frustrated about the whole experience at this particular Service department. He said well... Mike Smith:"Are you leaving it or staying with it?" Me: "I have to stay with it" Mike Smith: "Well, I'm going to need it until 1pm" Me: "5 hours for lights? Is there anyway I can get it by noon? I have a prior engagement at 1pm, thats why I took the earliest appointment time" Mike Smith: " Well, I have 20+ cars in the service bay so it will be a while until I can get to it, so 1pm..." Me: "Thats why I set an appointment up...for 8am" Mike Smith: I dont know what to tell you, thats what I got Me: so I get screwed because you failed to enter the appointment time? Mike Smith: "Do you want to leave it or not?" I left at this point... I also asked if there was a loaner vehicle available. Considering their mistake...I was told no but they could give me a ride home. That would not get me to my afternoon place of business so I declined the shuttle ride. These service advisors were acting like I owed them something. I'm not sure how these guys are in the positions they are with no customer/ people skills. As far as I'm concerned the dealership is basically the face of Ford. Michael should be removed from his position for being untruthful to customers. IF you need your Ford serviced....take it elsewhere More
